In March 2021, Swedish heavy metal commando ENFORCER released its second live album, “Live By Fire II”, which included a truly triumphant show captured in Mexico City, 2019. But ENFORCER have not been revelling in past glories during the last couple of months, quite the opposite! Brothers Olof and Jonas Wikstrand have been locked up in their own Hvergelmer Studio, crafting new songs to now unleash the brand-new single ‘Kiss Of Death’, a first impression of ENFORCER’s sixth studio album, which is expected to be released in early 2022. OBVURT PLAYS SHOW AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Quebecois-based death metal three-piece Obvurt have played a show at Saint-Albert-Le-Grand Elementary School, where the frontman Philippe Drouin teaches music. The guitar player had to relearn the guitar left-handed with legendary tutor Michael Angelo Batio after a car accident left him unable to use his right hand for picking.

«After being a victim of a car accident in late December 2016, I lost my picking as a right-handed guitar player for more than 15 years. After talking with Pat Martino in 2017, I bought my first left-handed guitar, and it begins there», he told Metal Sucks. «Since I made that choice, I tried to recover and practice a lot, trying to get my picking back on my right hand in 2018. I was playing both sides every day for a while. One day, I felt I was able to become left-handed, so I decided to leave everything behind and start over.»

Obvurt have recently released their debut EP The Beginning, which showcases Drouin's newly acquired left-handed skills.

AL NAMROOD RELEASE "KITAB AL AWTHAN"

Originally released in 2012 by Al-Namrood, this album is now coming out for the first time on vinyl on July 21 2021 in its original sound. The vinyl will be limited to 300 with 200 being black and 100 being splatter orange/black.

That's presumably because it's a lot easier to be in an anti-Christian metal band in the US, than in an anti-Islamic metal band in Saudi Arabia. In America, your obstacles extend to overhearing your mom tell a friend you're just "going through a phase." HEADSPAWN RELEASE "PRETTY UGLY PEOPLE" EP

That the Brazilian northeast has been producing great Rock/Metal bands for the last three decades is no secret or news for anyone, and the power trio from Paraiba HEADSPAWN is a great example of this! "Pretty Ugly People", ther debut EP, was released on all streaming platforms, featuring 4 vigorous copyrighted tracks, covering themes such as schizophrenia, social degeneration and the chaotic national political scene, full of groove, heaviness, energy, melody, harmony and a whole lot of punch with no frills or labels.

Produced, mixed and mastered in a robust and vibrant way by producer Victor Hugo Targino (Cangaco, Forahneo, Omago), their sound furiously and melancholically invokes influences from various renowned bands, such as the power and heaviness of Machine Head and Slipknot, combined with harmonies reminiscing of Alice In Chains and Stone Sour.

"Voices", the band's first music video that has already gathered a significant numbers of views, is a schizophrenic's narrative, haunted by voices in his head and incessantly looking for a way to end his torment, it was written about a friend of the band who was diagnosed with this mental disorder.
