For over three decades Black Funeral has channeled currents of pure darkness, and this new invocation is one of their most powerful and sinister albums to date.
This sonic offering to the Jinn is raw, vampyric & occult Black Metal that is laced with dark ambient passages and ritual soundscapes.
Recorded over the cursed first half of 2024, "Flames of Samūm" is dedicated to the Mulūk al-Arḍīya, the Seven Earthly Jinn Kings, each attributed to both the seven days of the week and the planets.
The Mulūk al-Arḍīya possess authority and infernal power that is both malignant and beneficial. The essence of the Earthly Kings is reflective and perhaps emanated from the Unseen and Imaginal world that is both real and not real, existing as a liminal power so beholden to the invisible, scorching winds and fire of Samūm.
This album is an act of Siḥr (Black Magick) that honours and summons with each track, aligned with the King and the planetary association therein. This album is a musical offering to those of the fires of Samūm, the divinely infernal Jinn that may guide or devour the minds and souls of those who open the liminal gates of the subconscious. Within this album, specific elements of lyrical and musical representation, offers subtle acts of Siḥr to summon the vampyric Jinn such as the ‘Ifrit, Ummu Sibyan (one Arabic name of Lilith) who is Tabi’ah, flesh hungry Ghūls and others of the abyssic legions.

Under the Auspices of Iblīs, This Black Arte is dedicated to the Mulūk al-Arḍīya and
إبلي س
In the Name of Iblis, the Great Father who bestows Samūm, this album is created as a mizmar; the black arte of Al-Harith, for whom we summon from his throne upon the waters.
The Flames of Samūm is dedicated to the Mulūk al-Arḍīya, the Seven Earthly Jinn Kings, each attributed to both the seven days of the week and the planets. Iblis is the great Adversary that seeks to either bestow guidance (to those who are devotees of ʿilm as-siḥr, the term for Black Magic as taught by the fallen angels, Harut and Marut. Iblis seeks the continuous and even subtle, insidious destruction of humans who are in totality, a blight upon the earth.
This digital release contains additional talismans of not only the Mulūk al-Arḍīya (the Seven Jinn Kings), but also other nefarious and sinister jinni such as Tabi'ah (Lilith), Huma (a malicious jinn of fever), and Iblis, our Father.
For a more dedicated study of the Jinn and Sihr from a Luciferian discipline, please seek out "Whispers of the Jinn" by Michael W. Ford; this is a dedicated grimoire of Arabic Black Magic that is a gateway to opening the gates within the practitioner, the convocation of Samūm and Flesh.
Dark Adversary Productions has available a beautifully designed CD format that is adorned in the talismanic callings by the way of Sihr.
