These chaotic trips form a cosmic dance where fragile melodies break under crushing riffs only to reform into triumphant harmony. The vocals shift from ethereal choirs to harsh growls.

Like our debut Cockroach Crusade, the album was born from intense jam sessions. All songs were created and arranged through continuous riffs and live interplay in our own rehearsal space and home studio at Saarni Music. After the main tracks were captured, we added many layers of guitars, synths, effects and vocals until the songs reached their final cosmic form. The final touch came from Mactus the Magemaster at Saarni Music, bringing clarity and life to the recordings. While the debut explored many influences, this album brings a stronger sense of cohesion and focuses clearly on the artistic vision we want to pursue.”

In celebration of 11 years of Heralding the Void , Voidward reissues The Plowman in a newly remastered, reimagined form. Originally unearthed on the knives EP (2013), this edition is part of a broader 11-version series — with Versions I through V already available, and Versions VI and VII scheduled to arrive in Autumn 2025. Rainbow Bridge was born in 2006 inspired by the sounds of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and classics power-trio from the late sixties. Right from the start the band tried to give a personal touch with a strong attitude to the heavy blues psychedelic jam. The band played in many rock & blues festivals over the years - Blues in Town, Wood In stock, Jimi Hendrix Live Festival, Campania Blues, Bitonto Blues, South Italy Blues Connection, Blues a Balues, Dogana Blues, Freakout Stoned Fest ecc. - and opened for bands like Oh Sees, Putan Club & more. Over time, several bassists have come and gone in the band but when Fabio in late 2015 joining trio, the band started producing new music. Since 2017, four self-produced albums have been released on Bandcamp - plus a live album and a cover album - with very positive feedback from the press and critics even outside Italy. The Band is featured on the first volume of the "Stoner Freak Anthology" – an essential guide of the contemporary stoner rock scene - with second album "Lama". The band's references start from classic rock mixed with the most psychedelic stoner rock like Earthless, Colour Haze & Dead Meadow.

"After four years contemplating the spatio-temporal void that opened up beneath our feet during Covid, Lares is thrilled to announce our renewed collaboration with Argonauta Records for the release of our third album “Et in Arcadia Ego”.

"Et in Arcadia Ego" was recorded live in our rehearsal studio, mixed by Luca Leprotti (David di Donatello Awards for Best Sound on "Volevo Nascondermi" by Giorgio Dritti) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege studio in Portland OR (SUNN O))), Sleep, Magma, Obituary) The album is an accidental concept born from the first session we managed to play together after a long and frustrating break necessitated by lockdowns, band members in high risk categories, and mental illness. Without looking for it we found death, isolation, boredom, uncertainty, rage, and an energy that we decided instantly to try to capture and preserve as it was. No additives, no major editing. In the uncertainty of the times, we began to collect recording equipment, slowly transforming our rehearsal space into a recording studio. We developed a ritual of playing and replaying, without click, the whole 27 minutes, until we got better than close to the original, to the perfect simulacra. There is a bonus track included in the album called “10 Hygiea” that is part of the soundtrack of "Music Appreciation", a short horror movie we collaborated with." - says the band

Et in Arcadia Ego

Founded in Berlin in 2015, the international quartet released 2 albums,  "Mask of Discomfort" in 2017, and "Towards Nothingness" in 2020  (Argonauta Records), critically acclaimed by the major platforms like Cult  Nation, Deaf Forever, Rock Hard, Metal Hammer and more. The idea of the name Lares originates from an archaic Roman Etruscan word which means "heroes" and "demons“. A faceless god, an entity that could be molded into any desired shape, believed to observe, protect and influence fate. 

Since the beginning, the band explored different music genres, creating a unique sound in continuous evolution that mixes elements of Doom, Black and Sludge metal, strongly influenced by the 60s and 70s psychedelia and  90s grunge/noise. 

Lares has played and organised concerts locally since the foundation of the band, slowly creating a devoted fan base in Berlin and surrounding areas.  

During this process, especially in the last 2 years, they developed a live sound performance that was captured in a live recording session in their rehearsal studio and that became their third concept album, “Et In Arcadia  Ego". 

 “Et in Arcadia Ego” marks their renewed collaboration with Argonauta  Records and a new chapter for the band, which is looking forward to touring around Europe and releasing more material in the near future.

HEAVY TEMPLE are back from extensively touring across the United States and for the first time also Europe. They are also back from the rehearsal room where the making of new songs became far more of a group effort than on the debut album. And finally back from Animal Farm studio where John Forrestal gave the new album "Garden of Heathens" a rich and warm organic sound that is also crisp and crystalline. "Lupi Amoris" (“Wolves of Love”) that was released in 2021 to strong applause from both critics and followers alike. This album opened new doors including more festival appearances, a US tour with THE OBSESSED and their first tour of Europe with friends and labelmates HOWLING GIANT. HEAVY TEMPLE are not just back, they are here to stay. By now, ACID WITCH require little introduction. Since 2007, the Detroit crew of mischievous miscreants have patiently crafted an ever-singular sound that's equal parts doom, death metal, psych rock, and horror-movie soundtrack. And while their full-length discography is semi-sparse, each ACID WITCH album is a momentous event, showcasing another dark 'n' delirious side to these Halloween-obsessed savants.

Then again, since the release of 2017's Evil Sound Screamers, ACID WITCH have certainly stayed busy on the short-length front, not to mention founding frontman/keyboardist Slasher Dave's soundtrack-oriented solo work. That latter element comes ever more to the fore on the band's fourth full-length, Rot Among Us. That preceding album surely emphasized those synths, as well, bringing the band's beloved horror canon of the '70s and '80s into sharper focus, but ACID WITCH top even that with Rot Among Us. Much, much darker and deadly serious but somehow clearer and more drug-crazed, Rot Among Us shows ACID WITCH in rarefied form, retaining their core sound but lacing each of these 10 anthems with a lysergic sense of starpower that's simply larger than life. A devilish sense of fun prevails, as it always has in the ACID WITCH world, but they take these arena-ready anthems in a gutsfucking and grimy direction that's absolutely DARK at the very, bitter end - and all of it's threaded together with acutely filmic samples, making that path to that end like a movie itself.

The Gates play „Magik Metal“, combining their own brilliant interpretation of old school Occult Rock and Psychedelic Metal with additional Black Metal vocals. Visually, they use classic psych imagery such as colorful artwork and magic mushrooms in combination with occult symbols and occasional nods to the Nazisploitation movies of the 70s (which are to be understood as a tribute to old school B-movies and cult flicks and nothing else), while their lyrics also focus on classic forms of occultism and psychedelic experiences.

Seemingly out of nowhere they delivered with "...of Pandemonium" an absolute killer album full of occult hymns that are sure to find many fans and has the potential to become a real classic.

Outside the relatively new but steadily growing Magik Metal sub-genre the music of The Gates should appeal the most to fans of the old school Occult Rock of Coven, The Devil’s Blood or Year of the Goat and occult Heavy Metal such as Mercyful Fate or Ghost, and has to be classified as highly addictive!

The European pressing of the CD comes in a jewel case with an undisclosed limitation. A limited A5-DigiCD, T-shirts and different CD box sets will also be available directly from Northern Silence and selected partners. Northern Silence will also release the European LP editions in late 2022, planned on color as well as classic black vinyl, including posters and free stickers.

EARTHLESS ANNOUNCE "NIGHT PARADE OF ONE HUNDRED DEMONS"

EARTHLESS returns with their new album Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons on January 28 via Nuclear Blast, along with a winter tour kicking off January 27th at Los Angeles’ The Echo. The latest from the San Diego-based psych rock power trio -- Isaiah Mitchell (guitar & vocals), Mike Eginton (bass) and Mario Rubalcaba (drums) -- was was recorded with Rubalcaba’s childhood friend Ben Moore, who’s worked with everyone from Diamanda Galas and Burt Bacharach to Ceremony and Hot Snakes. Their sixth album is comprised of two monster songs: the 41-minute title track and the 20-minute “Death To The Red Sun.”

The album and its title were inspired by an ancient Japanese legend in which a horde of demons, ghosts and other terrifying ghouls descend upon sleeping villages at night, once a year. Known as Hyakki Yagyō, or the “Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons,” one version of the tale states that anyone who witnesses this otherworldly procession will die instantly—or be carried off by the creatures of the night. As a result, the villagers hide in their homes, lest they become victims of these supernatural invaders. “My son and I came across the ‘Night Parade of One Hundred Demons’ in a book of traditional Japanese ghost stories,” bassist Mike Eginton explains. “I like the idea of people hiding and being able to hear the madness but not see it. It’s the fear of the unknown.”

Given the record’s inspiration, it should come as no surprise that Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons strikes a more sinister tone than the rest of the band’s catalogue. “It definitely has a darker, almost evil kind of vibe compared to stuff we’ve done in the past,” Rubalcaba says. “There’s more paranoia and noise, and some of Isaiah’s whammy-bar stuff kind of reminds me of these Jeff Hanneman moments in Reign In Blood, where it just seems like everything is going to hell. It’s pretty fun.”

When Eginton wasn’t tracking his bass parts, he worked on the album’s incredible sleeve art. “He really dedicated himself to the project,” Rubalcaba says. “He’d be drawing in the studio with, like, a coal-miner’s lamp on his head while we were doing overdubs. He really knocked it out of the park.” “I basically wanted to draw my interpretation of the folk story,” Eginton explains. “I started researching the different Yōkai—the demons—and really got into it. It was really cool reading about where they came from and what their interactions with humans were. Then I tried to create what I imagined the event might look like. I didn’t get a hundred in there, but I got quite a few.”

Their latest is a return to the epic instrumentals Earthless made their unmistakable name on, whereas 2018’s Black Heaven featured shorter songs and vocals from guitarist Isaiah Mitchell on much of the album—an unprecedented move for the trio. Black Heaven was recorded while Mitchell was living in the Bay Area, which made it difficult for the band to get together and work on the type of long instrumental pieces they’re known for. But, in March 2020 -- specifically, the night the pandemic lockdown kicked in -- Mitchell moved back to San Diego from the Bay Area. Bad timing, perhaps—or maybe perfect timing.

“With Isaiah here, we were able to get together once or twice a week to work on these jams,” Rubalcaba says. “We got back to our original songwriting process of just playing and building off each other little by little. And we actually had the time to do that, which was creatively inspiring.” Plus, they were all on the same page about not wanting to do another record with vocals. “Black Heaven was outside our comfort zone. I think it was a good record, but it was challenging to write songs in a more traditional verse-chorus-verse format. This one was more enjoyable.”

All told, Night Parade Of One Hundred Demons isn’t just a return to the band’s traditional format—it’s a return to their very beginnings. “This album actually has the very first Earthless riff in it,” Eginton reveals. “We just recorded it 20 years after we wrote it. But we’re really happy with how this record came out. We feel it might be our finest to date.”

Once a stoner band, nowadays Phased play a sort of heavy, leaden and groovy psychedelic doom – motor doom, as their former label boss fittingly baptized it. Six years into their last studio recording, the Swiss trio now releases AEON. Seven monoliths of down-tuned guitars, slow beats and a subtly threatening vocal treatment, that were recorded by Chris Sigdell (voice, guitar), Marko Lehtinen (drums) and Michael Greilinger (filling in on bass) at Helium Records in Basel. The album was mixed by Richard Whittaker in London and mastered by Greg Chandler in Birmingham.

Phased have released three albums so far: «Music For Gentlemen» (2003) and the Elektrohasch classics «Medications» (2006) and «A Sort Of Spasmic Phlegm...» (2009). In 2013 Space Rock Productions released a double vinyl compilation. The band has played several European festivals of high renown, such as Stoned From The Underground, Up In Smoke or Doom Shall Rise – and single shows with bands like Mastodon, High On Fire, Orange Goblin, Spirit Caravan and many more.

AEON will be released on CD, LP and as digital download.
