“Lost in Translation” is the debut release that has been a long time in the making and will finally see the light of day through Inverse Records. Self-produced by the band, the EP showcases the variety of the band’s expression — from the all-out aggressive thrash of “Uticensis” to the introspective and progressive “Comatose Waltz.” Even while drawing influence from all types of music, “Lost in Translation” manages to make a cohesive statement, held together by an undying love for strong riffs and creative arrangements. The band is unbothered by current trends and will continue to write music the only way they know how — intuitively and for themselves!

BORROWER RELEASE "KILLERDEMONS"

Italian heavy prog metallers Borrower are ready to unveil full details of their upcoming album “Killerdemons”, scheduled for release on February 13, 2026 in CD and Digital formats via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.

“Killerdemons” represents a decisive new step in the band’s creative evolution and stands as a direct continuation of the conceptual path introduced in 2018 with the EP “A Plague Chapter…”. The new album expands that vision into a darker and more articulated narrative, where music, imagery and storytelling merge into a single, coherent universe.

Recorded between December 2024 and May 2025 at Underhouse Studio in Presicce Acquarica Le and Aremstudio in Ruffano Le, the album was engineered by Roger Maglie, with additional recordings handled by Frank Formoso and Mass Ratano. The result is an intense and cinematic work that balances heavy progressive metal structures with sharp songwriting and a strong visual imagination.

Conceptually, “Killerdemons” tells the story of the birth and existence of a squad of humanoid demons. Each entity is defined by precise physical traits and armed with its own specific weapon. The album consists of eight tracks, and each song focuses on a different demon, giving shape to a broader saga that is meant to evolve beyond music alone.

Borrower envision “Killerdemons” as a multi layered project. Following the album release, each character may be further developed not only musically, but also visually and within the entertainment sphere, embracing graphics, videos and potentially interactive media.

The previously released single “Dream on Fire” offered a first glimpse into this universe. Now the band is ready to push the narrative further with the next visual chapter, “El Degollador”, whose official video will deepen the dark mythology behind the album.

" “Linguicide” is the first taste of our upcoming EP “Lost in Translation.” With its catchy groove and memorable guitar melody, it is arguably the most “commercial” track from the EP, yet it contains a great blend of all the elements that make our music what it is. Musically, the song is the oldest one on the EP, with the first demo going as far back as February 2020. Lyrically, the song went through two or three rewrites before finding its final form. Some of the discarded ideas have since been used in songs meant for future releases. As a product of our times, “Linguicide” deals with cancel culture and the death of independent thought, whether through self-censorship or outside pressure."

NORWALK is a thrash metal band located in the French Alps.

The band consists of four musicians : John : lead vocals / rhythm guitar, Byff : lead guitar, Bans : bass, Jeff : drums.

For more than 10 years now, Norwalk delivers a Thrash Prog Metal influenced by Metallica, Megadeth or even Pantera among a lot of other bands.

Their first record comes in 2011 : an EP called « Metamorpho’Z » as a reference to the original name of the band. The EP is an Old School Thrash Metalbanger and allowed the band to win a growing local fame with their live prestations.

In 2016, the second EP named « Rebirth » comes out.The 5 tracks show the indeniable evolution of the band.

This release was followed by many shows, expending Norwalk’s notoriety.

Between 2016 and 2025, Norwalk never stoped composing, writing, recording music and playing live.

In 2025, the long awaited new album finaly drops : « PSYCHO MIRROR ».

Thrash and Prog were never as visible as they are in this album, gaining another step in the band’s virtuosity.

The Alternative-Thrash-Metalband MONOGON was founded in 2020 by Sanjay Kliche (26;Vocals/Guitar), Timo Kuhnert (25;Guitar/Synths) and Leo Riepert (18;Drums) in Gütersloh, Germany. 

MONOGON just released their first record and played multiple live shows in their local area. Their music breathes an energy that is barely seen in more modern metal music mixed with an unexpected experimental side to create a mix that feels familiar but new at the same time.

ALLAMEDAH RELEASE NEW TRACK "ASUNDER"

PRESS RELEASE:

Allamedah was formed in 2015, by vocalist and guitarist David Bitton, and drummer João Faria. At the end of 2015, after the entry of bass player Wilhelm Lindh, the band recorded their first single “Rio”.

In 2016, the quartet was completed with guitar player Tiago Marinho joining the band.

The band then started to record their debut EP, which featured 5 songs: "Symphony", "Behol Neshima", "Desnudar a Alma", "Red Flag" and "Rio".

In late 2017, after a few months of songwriting, the group went back into the studio to record 10 songs that were released over the years of 2018 and 2019.

One of the recorded songs was "Algema", which featured the fado singer Valéria Carvalho and João Luzio on the Portuguese guitar, and is currently the most popular song on the band's social media and music platforms.

After several bass players, in mid 2018, Johnny Jow occupied the position, making the band gain the heaviness and groove they were looking for.

In 2019 the band was invited to participate in the Commendatio Music Fest, sharing the stage with bands like Tesseract (UK) and Leprous (NO).

In the same year, the band was invited by the festival organizer Daniel Cardoso (Anathema | Musical Producer | UltraSoundStudios) to record an EP (Extended play).

The band was in studio during the months of November and December 2019 and January 2020 recording 5 songs, one of which had the special participation of the Jay Neto from US.

Musically, the band seeks to combine their Rock / Metal influences with their Portuguese musical roots.

Technical Thrash Metal from Finland

In comparison to the band's self-titled EP, In Absence still consists of the Melo/Prog/Death Thrash Metal elements, but with a more "mature" approach. The overall musicianship within the band improved, as well as the overall songwriting capabilities. In Absence features the same aggression as the self-titled EP, but brings an intense atmosphere with extreme tempos, and brisk riffs. This release heavily carries on the epic melodic sections heard previously, and even going further with more complex song structuring and longer tracks. Aside from the aggressive side of things, hints of experimentation can be heard, showing slower sections, and clean parts as well.

BIO:

The thought of Cathartic Demise came into fruition on October 8, 2017, after high school friends Angus Pike (drums) and Bennett Smith (guitar/vocals) jammed for the first time, and immediately decided to form a group. Bennett had demos previously prepared, (two of the EP songs) and the week after Aaron Tanner would join the lineup, following a few weeks with Taylor Wroblewski (guitar) quickly completing the quartet. The four rehearsed immensely over a eight-month period landing their first show September 16, 2018. In December of 2018, the band entered into HM Studio, to record the self titled three-track EP Cathartic Demise, released April 26, 2019. For the rest of the year, the band played around Ontario, and in January 2020, Cathartic Demise would begin the recording sessions of In Absence.

CATHARTIC DEMISE RELEASE "IN ABSENCE"

 

PRESS RELEASE:

Kitchener (ON) - Progressive Death/Thrash Metal quarter CATHARTIC DEMISE will release full-length album In Absence on April 9. The official video for new single, "For Power," is available at youtu.be/kaKhJL509gA. The single is also available on Bandcamp.

In comparison to the band's self-titled EP, In Absence still consists of the Melo/Prog/Death Thrash Metal elements, but with a more "mature" approach. The overall musicianship within the band improved, as well as the overall songwriting capabilities. In Absence features the same aggression as the self-titled EP, but brings an intense atmosphere with extreme tempos, and brisk riffs. This release heavily carries on the epic melodic sections heard previously, and even going further with more complex song structuring and longer tracks. Aside from the aggressive side of things, hints of experimentation can be heard, showing slower sections, and clean parts as well.

Progressive technical thrash metal masters Watchtower will release their new EP "Concepts of Math: Book One" on October 7th. The new EP is the follow up to the band´s four singles released between 2010 and 2015. The band features original members Doug Keyser on bass and Rick Colaluca on drums plus Ron Jarzombek on guitars and Alan Tecchio on vocals.
