THIS DAY 25 YEARS AGO: MOTÖRHEAD RELEASED "SACRIFICE"

On July 11th, 1995, Motörhead released their album "Sacrifice", the last one to feature long time guitarist Würzel on guitars and the succesor to the powerful "Bastards" from 1993. Since his departure the band adopted again the trio format from its classic era but with Mikkey Dee on drums and Phil Campbell on guitars (this will be the format from their next album "Overnight Sensation" up to the end of the band with Lemmy´s death). "Sacrifice" was recorded at Cherokee Studios, Hollywood and mixed at Aire LA Studios, Glendale. The album was Co-produced by Ryan Dorn and Motörhead and mastered at Futuredisc. Art Design & Layout for "Sacrifice" was done by DemoNet, Inc. and the band released a video for the ticle tracks of the album (you can see it below). KATAKLYSM RELEASE "THE KILLSHOT" VIDEO

Canadian death metal masters KATAKLYSM have released a video for "The Killshot" (you can check it below these lines). "The Killshot" is the first track from KATAKLYSM´s new album "Unconquered" that will be released through Nuclear Blast Records on September 25th. NUCLEAR WINTER RELEASE "NIGHT SCAPES" COMPILATION

One man industrial melodic death metal band from Zimbabwe, NUCLEAR WINTER, is releasing a compilation, "Night Scapes" on July 15th. The compilation includes 12 tracks from differente NUCLEAR WINTER releases (the "Stormscapes" EP from 2020 and the "Nightshift" album released in 2019) and also Tribute and Toto covers. BLOODVALE RELEASE "LOBOTOMY"

German thrash metal band BLOODVALE will release their new album "Lobotomy" on July 15th. The new album is the band´s debut full length release and the follow up to their 2015 demo "Battle for Metal". SKULLPTURE RE-RELEASE "REBORN IN DECAY"

Chilean death metal band SKULLPTURE will see their "Reborn in Decay" album re-released on July 15th. The album, originally released in 2019 is SKULLPTURE´s second full length release (their debut is 2011´s "Skullpture... The Sinister Art") and will be re-released through Narcoleptica Productions. WINTER NIGHTS TO RELEASE TRACK "UNMARKED GRAVE" FROM NEW ALBUM

PRESS RELEASE:

WINTER NIGHTS' new track “Unmarked Grave” (check beow these lines) comes after the first single “When December Burns” and it is equally as cold and unrelenting as the first.

The new album was recorded between 2015 and 2018 at Atomic Sound in Brooklyn, New York and the amount of time that has been spent in its production really shows with the combination of dark, foreboding lyrics and melodic interludes breaking up pounding riffs. WINTER NIGHTS explains the album in their own words, painting a grim picture:

“If you took a deep breath right before free-falling off a cliff in the pouring rain with a glimmer of sunshine trying to come through dark clouds only to fall into a dark hole and wake up crawling all fours on cold soil with snow falling in a dark moonlight forest.”

The lyrics of “Unmarked Grave” reflect on the lingering emotions after everything has died around you, and realizing the world has nothing left to offer. All that is asked is to be buried in an unmarked grave.

This new album is clearly progress for WINTER NIGHTS, showing maturity and it’s easy to hear the difference between it and its predecessor. Heavy metal with a smile, Winter Nights has even more music in the works ready for when the world resumes some semblance of normality.

NATTEFROST RE-RELEASE "BLOOD & VOMIT" ALBUM

Norwegian black metal master NATTEFROST will re-release their "Blood & Vomit" album. The NATTEFROST debut album was originally released in 2004 and will be re-released on July 15th. "Blood & Vomit" will be re-released in a very limited edition of 500 copies on CD through The Black Records. The album will feature eleven tracks, including a cover of BEHERIT´s "The Gates of Nanna".
