LIGATURE MARKS presents a brutal new offering in "Weapons." The single release unveils their darker side as it deviates away from the band's typical sound to incorporate elements of deathcore and industrial. "Weapons" provides a first glimpse at LIGATURE MARKS' forthcoming sophomore full-length album which sees the band pushing the boundaries of their sound.

On "Weapons" vocalist Ben Charles shares: "We wanted to make something that felt dangerous, something that was truly evil, from the song itself to the visuals. This one isn't meant to feel like a warm hug, it's meant to make you feel uneasy".

Dissonance bleeds through the track, connecting the sinews of the bloodthirsty verses and anthemic choruses, marking a triumphant debut from Brad Leadham (keyboards, samples). The accompanying music video draws inspiration from the band's passion for the horror genre. Guitarist / Director Karl Whinnery: "I told the band, think serial killer's crawlspace, with a dash of Sicario thrown in."

"Weapons" was recorded at Falcon Recording Studio with producer and mixing engineer Gabe Johnston. The track was mastered by Troy Glessner. Cover artwork is by Benjamin Charles.

Based out of Portland, Oregon, LIGATURE MARKS formed in 2017 and released their debut album, Set Oceans On Fire, independently in the same year. This notable first instalment led to fast-earned popularity in the Pacific Northwest, and subsequently landed LIGATURE MARKS as direct support for bands such as GOJIRA, FEAR FACTORY, SOULFLY, UNEARTH and SKINLAB.

Consisting of a veritable supergroup of Portland’s biggest bands (VINTERSEA, SYX, INFLICT, PROVEN) vocalist Ben Charles, guitarists Karl and Josh Whinnery, bassist Glen Thonis, and drummer Chris Meskill, LIGATURE MARKS has been building a fierce reputation on the live stage. BIOGRAPHY -

VEXATAN is a Brazilian Blackened Death Metal band, which originated in 2022, in the city of Paranaguá - Paraná. As a one man band, mentored by Danihell, responsible for vocals and all instruments.

Obsessed with black art and extreme music, the band has as references the old school of the style's subgenres, based on visceral and atmospheric instrumentals with crushing drum beats.

In its musicality, VEXATAN has expirations blasphemies, darkness, satanism, occultism, anti-christianity.

The band released their debut EP, "ETERNAL TORMENT", in June 2022, on all streaming platforms. Offering a glimpse into their brutal, visceral sound.

In September 2023, the band's second EP was released, completely independently, on all streaming platforms, with a good reception, " DIABOLIC EMPIRE". It received excellent acceptance and positive reviews, establishing VEXATAN's name on the global extreme music scene.

On May 26, 2024, the single "Swallowing the Light of All Creation" was released. Further cementing their reputation for delivering quality extreme metal and unrelenting brutality. Solidifying VEXATAN's position as a force to be reckoned with.On 02/08/2025 the single “Paranormal Phenomenon” was released.

The release highlights the band's evolution and strengthen its presence . in the extreme music scene.
