US black metal pioneers DEMONCY will make their long-awaited return this winter with the release of Black Star Gnosis.

After more than eleven years since the release of Enthroned Is the Night, the legendary beast of DEMONCY rears its ugly head once more – in league with Dark Descent Records – and perhaps at the top of its malevolent powers. Led by illustrious founder Ixithra, their upcoming fifth album Black Star Gnosis is a true testament to constancy and vision in the name of evil.

With this new offering, DEMONCY delivers the record most sonically akin to 1999’s Joined in Darkness since the turn of the century. The primitive reverb-laden production seamlessly complements the songcraft of unfathomable darkness, resulting in an inimitable hellish soundscape unique to DEMONCY alone. The crushing compositions are accompanied by a commanding subterranean bass frequency, as well as Ixithra’s uniquely coarse vocal performances - which also bear a striking resemblance to the second album.

Black Star Gnosis was recorded and mixed by VJS at Dirge Forge. The album was mastered by Jeremie Bezier at Blackout Bruxhell. Art and design for Black Star Gnosis by Ixithra.

Aesthetic of Death comes creeping in slow but harsh monoliths of pure blackness. Indebted to the rich Tradition of Harsh Noise Wall, this new Outfit offers 4 lengthy tracks that should bring absolute bliss to the aficionados.

A strong occult vibe runs through the dense and claustrophobic pieces, evoking feelings of Decay and timeless Evil. There are, of course, the heavy crackles and Bass frequencies hint towards Vomir and the Rita, but there is also a certain development and buildup that provides sufficient identity to Aesthetics of Death. Some may even notice the buzzing death synths that made the Italian pioneers masters of Death Industrial

DEATH HAS SPOKEN AND BACKBONE RELEASE SPLIT EP

Marking a bold step in the fusion of genres, Polish doom metal giants Death Has Spoken have teamed up with Backbone for an unexpected synthwave Split EP entitled "Doomed To Gloom." Scheduled to hit the airwaves on October 30, 2023, the EP promises a unique blend: marrying the nostalgia of retro synthwave with the hauntingly atmospheric cadences and sheer power of doom metal.

The tracklist features three compelling tracks:

Lurking Fear - Death Has Spoken A reimagined synth version hailing from the 2021 "Call Of The Abyss" album. 

In Shrouds Of Shadow - Death Has Spoken Entirely crafted with the signature touch of Death Has Spoken. Recording and mixing were accomplished at HiGain Studio.

Cathedral - Backbone A synth twist on the original from the "Grey Foundations of Stone" EP (2021). The song's melody is credited to Piotr Kowalczyk while the lyrics are the brainchild of Michał Kowalski. Production credits include recording and mixing by Piotr Kowalczyk. 

Ensuring the consistency of audio excellence, all tracks received their mastering treatment at HiGain Studio.

For those inclined towards the sounds of Paradise Lost, Katatonia, and HOST, "Doomed To Gloom" is an addition you'll cherish.

This time, it's the remastered version of 'Speed 'Til You Bleed (Midnight Hunters Demo, 2015).'

Since their formation in early 2013, BEWITCHER's signature 'Black Magick Metal' sound has evolved from humble beginnings to new heights of creativity and anthemic fervor. FOLTERKAMMER RELEASE "DAS PEITSCHENGEDICHT"

To celebrate their new signing, FOLTERKAMMER released a BDSM-inspired single, "Das Peitschengedicht", which pays homage to the empowerment of whip-wielding Femdoms. The song is accompanied by a mesmerizing lyric video crafted by Folterkammer's own drummer and video director, Brendan McGowan.  

This single is a precursor to the band's forthcoming album, a follow-up to their 2020 debut, 'Die Lederpredigt.' The new record continues the journey of blending modern black metal and classical music elements, resulting in an avant-garde sonic experience. Frontwoman and vocalist Andromeda Anarchia takes center stage, weaving her classically trained opera vocals with infernal screams, creating a whirlwind of ethereal chaos.

Reflecting on the empowering themes of the new single and upcoming album, Andromeda Anarchia eloquently states:

"This song is our kinky ode to the whip as a torture instrument, and a celebratory hymn to the practices of BDSM, particularly, Femdom. The whip, a symbol of domination, pain and humiliation, is described here not only as playful and kinky, but as a poetic enactment of pain through the depiction of female ferocity on a submissive man, whose back the Domme uses like a canvas.  

 "It is about this sensual overdrive of stimulation and literally describes the lustful use of a whip as a kind of 'calligraphy brush' to write a poem. The dominatrix verbally humiliates her subject while blood runs down his spine; his blood is the ink with which she paints and signs her artwork of pain and ecstasy.    

"The song bridges both musically and thematically the old album (regarding a vicious, violent, and abusive 'Bad Domme' goddess) and the new one (featuring a badass, erotic 'Good Domme'). This opens a new chapter with a change defined not only by the expanded instrumentation and new songwriting styles, but also by the way the described dominant female protagonist treats her subordinates and has refined her skills in humiliation games. It's no longer about being a vicious, exploitative deity, but about being a sensual, naughty, self-confident, kinky lady who knows exactly what she wants, who celebrates female power, who sometimes flirts and cleverly provokes with historical and mythological anecdotes, and even more with her charm and sass.

"This bridging of the debut album and the new album is also reflected in the aesthetics of the video. In the words of our drummer and music video director Brendan McGowan: 'The 'Das Peitschengedicht' video sets the dominating lyrics to footage from the 1922 classic 'Haxan' - whose famous images of devils and demons often overshadow the wicked women within it and their blasphemous behavior.'"
