HEIDEN TO RELEASE "TEMNOPLODEC"

PRESS RELEASE:

HEIDEN, the Czech progressive black metal band, announce their tenth full-length album, Cma, set for release on 24 April 2026 via EPIDEMIE Records. Available in digital, CD, and vinyl formats, the album marks a continuation of the journey begun with 2022’s acclaimed Andzjel.

The first single and official music video, “Temnoplodec”, is out now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE0wO5wXZwY

Three years after the acclaimed album Andzjel, HEIDEN return with their tenth full-length release, Cma. The album is a direct continuation of the previous chapter, yet one that dives even deeper into darkness. Once again, HEIDEN’s music flows through the landscape of the Carpathian Mountains — not as a backdrop, but as an inner terrain where memory, guilt, and fear merge into a single current. Across nine tracks, Cma rises from silence and ashes, from images of remote mountain villages where time has come to a standstill, and from human stories in which borders no longer began in the land itself, but within people. Clean, hypnotic riffs and an urgent vocal delivery create a sense of inescapable tension — like a nocturnal flight through a landscape that no longer offers shelter.

Emerging from the black metal underground more than twenty years ago, HEIDEN have never allowed themselves to be confined by genre boundaries. Their music has always been rooted in place, language, and personal experience, remaining open to experimentation and silence alike. Cma continues this path with unprecedented intensity. This is not an album that offers catharsis, strength, or comfort. It is a record of brooding reflection, heavy sorrow, and quiet dread, born from stories of the borderlands of occupied Czechoslovakia, where humanity slowly eroded under the pressure of fear and hatred. It does not seek to overwhelm the listener — instead, it draws them into a state of melancholy where the past continually resurfaces. Darkness here is not an effect, but an inseparable part of the human condition. Cma stands as the darkest album in HEIDEN’s history — and one of their most honest.

Band History:

Formed in 2003 by Kverd and Varnag, HEIDEN began as a pagan black metal project rooted in the Carpathians. The band has evolved while maintaining a dark, uncompromising core:

Dolores (2011) and A kdybys už nebyla, vymyslím si tě (2013) established HEIDEN as a respected underground name.

Experimental releases in 2015 and 2019 deepened the band’s sonic and emotional range.

Andzjel (2022) explored the White Carpathians and the tragic legacy of the Žítková goddesses.

With Cma, HEIDEN delivers a darker, heavier, and more oppressive album, pushing their post-black metal vision to its most uncompromising form.

Line-up:

Einsk – drums

Tom – guitars

Werlinga – keys

kverd – vocals, guitar

Hellgrimm is a power trio forged in 2018 that delves into the darkness of addictions, death, and demons, with stories based in fiction and fact, conjuring spells of destruction and salvation. Their rhythmic melodies are punctuated by haunting solos and a piercing voice gives hope that there may be paths out of the darkness.

Writer/guitarist Jerry Connor and drummer/singer Erica Missey lead the charge of this sonic triumvirate. Hellgrimm has the aid of talented bassists Johnnie Kay, Adrian Cavazos, Shawn Mitchell, Miriam Darnell, and Joshua Pechawer (RIP, Joshua ❤) when they hit the stage.

Murder on My Mind

Reign of Terror

Resurrection

Embrace

Dead Superstar

Voodoo Man

Ride or Die

Dog Trash Must Die

Outcast (Kreator cover)

Shooting Stars

Bonus Track – “Sympathy for the Devil” (The Rolling Stones cover)

Nearly three years in the making, this album’s journey through technical difficuties, multiple recording studios, lost files, sickness, death, bad weather, and band line-up changes have fought hard to keep it from happening. Hellgrimm is overjoyed that this album is finally seeing the light of day and feels that some of their best work shines brightly on this CD.

Hellgrimm will feature songs from “Resurrection” as well as favorites from their previous work while supporting NWOBHM legends Satan on their four-date Spain Tour, February 19 – 22. Newly-recruited bassist, Shawn Mitchell, will be joining Hellgrimm on the tour.

Hellgrimm is also playing shows in the US and are working on other tours and festivals for 2026.

The first single and movie theme song, "Dog Trash Must Die," was released on December 23, 2025, along with the music video, directed by Justin Lee Soto. The movie is set for release in early 2026.

Jerry Connor and Erica Missey continue to work on the musical "Gideon's Journey," based on the book and lyrics written by author Paul Enemark. The band headlined a three-date run in Kobe and Osaka, Japan, May 2025, and played shows in and around Texas throughout the year while planning future stateside and overseas tours.

Hellgrimm has supported many talented artists since its inception, including The Kings of Thrash, Raven, (hed) p.e., Nasty Savage, Bitch, Sinister, WatchTower, Riot, Ronnie Munroe, Atrophy, Go Ahead and Die (Max Cavalera), Geoff Tate, Christian Death, Powerman 5000, Kix, Jetboy, Dizzy Reed (Guns & Roses), Michael Graves, Tommy DeCarlo (Boston), Vicious Rumors, Pissing Razors, and Goatwhore.

"Sacrifice," Hellgrimm's fifth studio album, dropped in March, 2024, online and on CD. An 11-song, hard-hitting, rock album, recorded and co-produced by Hellgrimm's long-time engineer, Daisun de Rijk, "Sacrifice" was the eagerly-awaited follow up to the LP "Ritual" (September, 2022). Single "Speed Demon" features drummer extraordinaire Mike Heller (Raven, Control/Resist, Malignancy, formerly of Fear Factory). "Til Death do us Party" was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in 2023 by legendary engineer Sean Magee.

Hellgrimm has three songs (including the main theme) for the upcoming TV series "Lowie Mortem: Chronicles of a Dead Detective," written by J. Rene Munz, to be directed by George Ortiz (release date TBA). Hellgrimm also has four songs in the soundtrack of the film "Darkness Strain," directed by Abraham Takatsuki  (April 2025).

Writer/guitarist Jerry Connor began his music obsession in his teens on South Padre Island, Texas. After years of playing in local bands, his world turned upside down when a fateful accident almost cost him his left hand and his life. Following two major surgeries, many doctors told him he would never play guitar again. Undeterred, Jerry studied music theory and composition at the University of Texas Pan American in hopes of becoming a composer.

Jerry rehabilitated his hand through years of relentless practice and was able to play guitar once again, moving around the country to work with national acts. In 2002, he landed in San Antonio, Texas, and began writing the music that would conjure the band Hellgrimm.

Drummer/vocalist/studio bassist Erica Missey fell in love with live music as a child while watching her grandfather and uncle play guitar in their family-owned bar and get-togethers. She started playing trumpet when she was eleven and enjoyed playing through high school and early into university.

After years of concentrating on her art career (animation credits include “Space Jam” and “The Prince of Egypt"), Erica returned to making music as a bass player. She met Jerry Connor in 2002 and joined him to form the band Monkeysoop. After years of playing bass and finding her voice, Erica switched to drums in 2010 and became the primary singer when Hellgrimm was conceived in 2018. Erica creates the artwork for Hellgrimm's albums and graphics through her art business, Ericatures.

In February 2026, Hellgrimm will be heading to Spain to tour with NWOBHM Giants SATAN for a 4- shows:

February 19 - Barcelona - Razzmatazz 3

February 20 - Valencia - Sala Zulu

February 21 - Madrid - Sala Silikona

February 22 - Portugalete - Sala Groove

More tours and shows will be added.
