TOMB SLAB RELEASE "TOMB SLAB"

PRESS RELEASE:

TOMB SLAB – TOMB SLAB

LABEL: ROAD TO MASOCHIST

RELEASE DATE: JULY 17th 2026

The first foundation stones for what would become the brutal architecture of Tomb Slab were laid back in 2024. The Atrocity Exhibit guitarist James Caygill and The Infernal Sea vocalist Dean Lettice discovered their mutual admiration for the anarchic, angry sludge of bands like Iron Monkey and Eyehategod - and slowly words and thoughts became riffs and lyrics, which then became early, rough demos. While other commitments soon intervened, the pair were determined to return to the sleeping behemoth they had christened Tomb Slab and in 2025 they did just that; now accompanied by Oneiros bassist John Hunter and Shyrkull drummer Kez Whelan. The beast was awake – and those early demos began the process of transformation into a self-titled debut album of soul crushing doom and sludge. With Road To Masochist, champions of the malign and malformed creatures of the UK underground on board, Tomb Slab the album is now ready to leave its nest of ash and bone and crawl out into the light…

Opening track ‘Kingdom Of Tyranny’ emerges from a wailing wall of feedback with a grim, purposeful air. The thudding drumbeats land with colossal power while the vocals are vicious to the point of self-destruction; you can almost feel the mucous membrane in Lettice’s throat tearing with every venomous, bilious utterance. The song pauses momentarily at its midpoint simply to bathe in the radioactive hum of the guitars before a well-placed death grunt kicks it back into action. ‘The Butcher’ follows, riding a dirty, attitude infused groove, the drumbeats still falling like hammer blows and you start to feel like there are only two ways to respond to Tomb Slab – you either commit to violence and wanton destruction or you enter a catatonic state, consciousness lost to the implacable riffs. With an intro that’ll bring a smile to all but the most po-faced of listeners, ‘Rawhead’ is part lively, obnoxious celebration and part grinding, hypnotic riff-poisoning, while the circling guitars of first single ‘What’s Below Remains Below’ demand a headbanging response and won’t be satisfied until something inside breaks. ‘Tomb Of Flesh’ then grows organically from the wreckage of ‘What’s Below Remains Below’, a darker, grimier thing, with a nasty glint in its eye, dragging itself forward with malicious intent until it collapses, dying in feedback screams that slowly become the gargantuan ‘Toils of The Unclean Spirit’. There’s a bleak resignation about this Godzilla like conclusion to the album, a life sapping ennui that sucks the energy from the song like marrow from a bone. It slows at its heart, almost drowning in its own bitter lethargy, just managing to pull clear from the quicksand long enough for a wandering bass line to inject enough vigour to get it moving again, staggering away into the screaming void from whence it came.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Ian Boult (Mage, Abduction, Shyrkull etc) at Stuck On A Name Studios in Nottingham, Tomb Slab’s sonic palette is part rusted razor wire, part rubble and decay, but there’s a sparse clarity to it that allows every element of its brutal, broken choir to sing. Featuring the striking artwork of Amy Edwards (The Atrocity Exhibit etc), Tomb Slab will be driven from its place of confinement by Road To Masochist on July 17th and will be available on transparent yellow and black vinyl variants and CD.

AETERE RELEASE "THEOGONIE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: Aetere

Album: Theogonie

Release Date: June 5th, 2026

Country: France

Label: Octopus Rising

Genre: Doom Metal

Aetere: A Sonic Odyssey Through Shadows and Symbolism

Aetere is a French doom-metal duo formed in Bordeaux in 2017, crafting slow-burning, ritualistic compositions steeped in myth. Guided by melancholy and introspection, the project stands at the crossroads of ancient narratives and contemporary sonic experimentation.

On guitar, bass, and vocals, Alice Ronzini brings a background forged in France’s garage-punk underground (La Secte du Futur, JC Satan), later expanded into more ethereal territories through her spectral folk solo project Ailise Blake. Alongside her, Johan Sebenne shapes Aetere’s immersive sound through synths, bass, and machines, layering droney riffs and textured atmospheres informed by his work with the acclaimed post-metal ensemble Year of No Light, his ambient electro-acoustic solo project Lacustre, and earlier collaborations with Nexus Sun, Acid Bonanga, and Géographie.

The project took shape in Bordeaux, where the duo composed and recorded the six tracks that would become their debut album, Théogonie. Johan relocated to Paris and initiated the mixing process just as the global lockdown unfolded. Meanwhile, Alice moved to the rural landscapes of La Drôme, placing the project into a quiet, suspended state. When they reunited after the lockdown, Aetere awakened again: the two resumed work on the album, with Alice completing the final mix in her newly built Studio 418.

The result is a masterful exploration of doom metal's heavier edges, softened by shoegaze haze and post-punk grit.

Musically, Aetere draws inspiration from luminaries like Warning, Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, and Earth, merging funeral tempos, shoegaze haze and monolithic riffs.

Alice's lyrics, steeped in literary grandeur, evoke the visionary poetry of William Blake's Auguries of Innocence, the epic turmoil of John Milton's Paradise Lost (Book 1), and the mythic narratives of Dante Alighieri, Ovid, and Homer. Themes of innocence, mortality, and transcendence pulse through the album, inviting profound reflection.

Théogonie features artwork by Mal De Siglos and layout design by Lucia Macip, perfectly encapsulating the band's ethereal aesthetic.

Mastered by the legendary Dirk Serries (known for his work in Vidna Obmana, Fear Falls Burning, and Yodok III), the album achieves a polished yet primal resonance.

Released via Italy's Argonauta Records—a powerhouse in stoner, doom, and sludge—the record marks Aetere's triumphant entry into the global heavy music sphere.

DROMOS RELEASE "FAILING LIGHT"

PRESS RELEASE:

Uk Funeral Doom Visionaries Dromos Announce Debut Album “Failing Light”;

Reveal First Single And Video “My Final Tomb”

London based funeral doom collective DROMOS announce their debut full-length Failing Light, set for release on May 15, 2026 via Argonauta Records in CD and digital formats, and unveil the first monolithic excerpt with the lead single and official video “My Final Tomb”: https://youtu.be/Yl_ht1mktQM

Expanding across vast, slow burning movements, “My Final Tomb” captures the band’s core identity, tectonic pacing, crushing density and a near ceremonial sense of weight. It is not a track that unfolds, but one that engulfs, pulling the listener into a deeply immersive sonic space.

With Failing Light, DROMOS deliver a work conceived for full immersion. Rooted in funeral doom yet reaching into atmospheric and progressive territories, the album develops with deliberate restraint, revealing new layers through repetition, detail and emotional tension. It is a record built on presence and patience, where heaviness is experienced as much as it is heard.

The band states:

“With Failing Light, we wanted to create something that reveals itself over time, a record that offers new layers with each listen. Our focus was on textural density, tectonic patience and a near ceremonial weight, treating heaviness as a physical sensation as much as a sonic one.

By the end of the process, we found ourselves with a work that feels out of time, music shaped to trace the sharp edges of loss.”

Formed in 2019, DROMOS draws from London’s extreme underground, with members connected to acts such as Grave Miasma, Final Dose, Mutagenic Host and Eihort. While grounded in that background, the band pushes toward a more expansive and meditative sonic language, positioning itself within the most forward thinking edges of contemporary doom.

Further cementing their growing presence, DROMOS will bring their intense and immersive live performance to DesertFest London this May, marking a key step in their rise within the international heavy scene.

Failing Light stands as a defining record that bridges oppressive weight and vast atmosphere into a singular, deeply affecting experience.

OCCULT MASTER RELEASE NEW SINGLE "ISLAND OF LEPER"

PRESS RELEASE:

The Finnish Heavy Doom band Occult master are set to release their self-titled debut album on August 14th 2026 via Inverse Records. The first single 'Island of Leper' is unleashed today and it's available on streaming services:

https://push.fm/fl/occult-master-island

The band comments:

"A contemplative, multi-part, poignantly beautiful and overwhelmingly heavy progressive metal epic takes listeners on a sombre, melancholic journey, centered around two former lovers who are struck by a devastating misfortune after contracting leprosy. The couple, beloved of youth, meet on the island of the lepers, where they reminisce about their wonderful youth. The island, their final resting place, ultimately embraces them in its leprous embrace, where they will find an ultimate fulfilment."

BIOGRAPHY:

"Occult Master was founded in 2012 in Oulu, Finland, first starting as a heavy rock/doom band. After a line‑up change in 2020, the musical style turned faster, more rhythmic and more complex. Occult Master’s music is heavy, versatile and full of nuances, ranging from full‑throttle metal blasting to quiet, subtle and beautifully eerie musical landscapes. The band’s roots lie strongly in the classic heavy metal of the 1970s and 1980s. The songs are delivered in a hardy, straightforward and no‑nonsense style. In the dark‑toned music, the lyrics deal with different matters of life and the world in general, and at times even horror stories told with a devilish grin.

BURIAL CLOUDS RELEASE "BURN HOLY"

PRESS RELEASE:

Portland post-doom metal collective BURIAL CLOUDS will release their stunning new full-length, Burn Holy, on May 22nd.

BURIAL CLOUDS’ music lives in constant tension between beauty and rage, crushing riffs and intricate expanses walking the lines between inner and outer worlds, healing ritual and seditious fire. Every song is a meditation on what it means to live with a gentle, livid heart in an inhuman age.

The band’s debut album – 2023’s Last Days Of A Dying World released via Church Road Records – was met with praise from both fans and critics alike. Kerrang likened it to “walking into the ocean and being crushed by the waves,” while Outlaws Of The Sun lauded a record that’s as “…heavy, epic, and emotional as they come.”

Subsequently, they embarked on a successful run through their home turf of the Pacific Northwest, followed by a UK tour, culminating in an appearance at the renowned Arctangent Fest. The following year saw significant lineup changes. Founders Matt Mitchell and Flynn Hargreaves remain on guitar and bass respectively. Marina Lavelle, who was the central figure in the video for “Beirut Shores,” makes her debut with vocals that range from searing, unhinged hostility to delicate vulnerability and soaring expressiveness. Her introduction brings a new and enthralling dynamic to both the sound and perspective of BURIAL CLOUDS music. Bryce Ramsey, previously of Trials, a juggernaut of a player whose approach is as soulful as it is technical, has been recruited on guitar. The multi-talented Tim Iserman, of Salo and Beguile and formerly of Ritual Veil, brings their ferocious, feral energy to the drums. From the crucible of songwriting and DIY recording and production, a newly reformed BURIAL CLOUDS emerged with their best work to date: Burn Holy.

Elaborates Mitchell on the creation of Burn Holy, "We set out to make this record more intense in every direction than Last Days... Prettier and heavier, more gentle, vicious, intense, technically challenging, you name it. Having Marina on vocals has allowed us to highlight aspects of the music that might have otherwise been missed. She's able to access dimensions of expression the rest of us just can't. The depth that Bryce's killer backups bring can't go unmentioned either; the combination of the two creates greater than the sum of its parts. Burn Holy took more or less a year for us to write, starting about three months after the first record came out. There was no regular process. Some songs had the instrumental written first, vocals later. Some were all at once, some were a back-and-forth iterative process of rearranging, rewriting, rinse and repeat. As they developed, each song developed its own voice. We tried above all else to listen to what they told us was needed, and far more often than not, we all heard the same thing. Some songs went through upwards of 10 or 12 versions. It was a very intense process, and I think we all feel, because of that, that this is literally the best record we were capable of making at that point.”

In advance of the release, today the band unveils first single, “Be Not Afraid.” Offers Mitchell, "‘Be Not Afraid’ is ultimately about fear and awe and the consequences of their manipulation. We wanted to express our resistance to that, in the dynamics of the music, with a feeling of relentlessness and spiritual inevitability. Like erosive crashing waves or the fury of a mother protecting her young... You use whatever tools you have to rebalance the scales."

Watch BURIAL CLOUDS’ “Be Not Afraid” video HERE. Stream the track HERE.

Burn Holy was written, engineered, recorded, and mixed by BURIAL CLOUDS, and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. The record will be released on CD, LP, and digital formats.

LUNGBURNER RELEASE "DOGMA"

PRESS RELEASE:

LungBurner

Dogma

Terminus Hate City

17 April 2026

Atlanta, Georgia heavy music collective LUNGBURNER will release their third full length album Dogma on April 17, 2026 through Terminus Hate City Records. Written throughout 2025 and recorded, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered entirely by the band, Dogma captures LUNGBURNER expanding their sonic identity while deepening the conceptual and emotional scope of their music. Across seven tracks and just over forty minutes, the album blends southern sludge weight with progressive composition, atmospheric electronics, and evolving melodic structures.

Conceptually, Dogma explores the psychological and spiritual consequences of entrenched belief systems. Drawing from mythology, philosophy, and personal reflection, the album examines how inherited ideas about religion, culture, and identity shape human behavior and perception. Each composition approaches the subject from a different perspective, forming a continuous narrative that moves through awakening, rebellion, struggle, and eventual balance.

The album opens with "Adamu", which begins with tribal percussion samples and a call to the fallen angel Lucifer before unfolding into a driving riff anchored by deep bass and aggressive vocal delivery. The title references the Babylonian concept of the first man and frames the song’s exploration of humanity’s emergence into self awareness and the uneasy realization of one’s place within larger systems of belief and structure.

"Rapture" follows with rapid guitar work and heavy rhythmic intensity, incorporating elements of modern metal alongside the band’s established low tuned foundation. The song shifts between melodic passages and driving grooves while examining the moment of personal realization that accompanies a rejection of inherited truths.

"The Sin of Defiance" introduces a more melodic opening before transitioning between hypnotic bass movement and heavy guitar passages. The lyrics draw from experiences of discipline, hierarchy, and survival, reflecting on the tension between obedience and individuality within systems that demand absolute loyalty.

"(Bhajan) The Fall" marks a turning point in the album’s atmosphere. Beginning with the interlude "Bhajan", a piece originally conceived many years earlier, the track introduces synthesizers as a prominent element and slows the pace into a meditative and weighty progression. The composition explores the disorientation that can accompany self realization, where clarity and fear coexist.

"Apostasy" begins with a spoken sample from philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti addressing the dangers of institutionalized belief. The track channels tightly controlled aggression and rhythmic precision while expanding on the album’s central theme of breaking from inherited doctrine in pursuit of personal truth.

"Misery" continues the album’s exploration of inner conflict with one of its heaviest sonic moments. Featuring guitars tuned to an extremely low register and layered with samples and synthesizer textures, the song reflects on the necessity of confronting illusion and acknowledging reality without compromise.

The album closes with the nine minute composition "Pistus Sophia", which unfolds gradually through evolving melodic passages and ritualistic atmosphere. The title references Sophia from Gnostic tradition, a figure representing wisdom and the balance of spiritual forces. The introduction features a spoken prayer to Lilith performed in Polish by Aleksandra Anderberg, whose visual artwork also provides the cover for Dogma. The track concludes the album by reflecting on the dual nature of spiritual experience and the search for equilibrium between opposing forces.

With its combination of crushing downtuned guitars, atmospheric electronics, and layered thematic content, Dogma presents LUNGBURNER’s most focused and expansive work to date. The album stands as a meditation on belief, individuality, and the human struggle to define truth within systems that often demand unquestioning faith.

About LUNGBURNER:

LUNGBURNER is a heavy music collective based in Atlanta, Georgia, known for combining the weight of southern sludge with progressive composition, industrial atmosphere, and evolving melodic structures. Built around deeply downtuned guitars, layered samples and synthesizers, and rhythmically complex arrangements, the band’s sound draws from a wide spectrum of influences including YOB, HIGH ON FIRE, KILLING JOKE, NINE INCH NAILS, PRINCE, SLOMATICS, OPETH, LED ZEPPELIN, and MINISTRY.

Formed in Athens, Georgia in 2023, LUNGBURNER quickly established momentum within the southeastern underground through a steady stream of releases and a growing live presence. Their debut album Embers arrived in early 2024, followed later that year by the sophomore album Natura Duale. Both releases introduced the band’s fusion of crushing heaviness, atmospheric experimentation, and philosophical lyrical themes.

The band continued to expand its reach throughout 2024 and 2025 with appearances at festivals including Tampa Doom and Gloom Fest, Gravitoid Heavy Music Doomfest, Seismic Fest, ATL Doom Fest, and Stoned Riff Revival. LUNGBURNER also completed the Fall Into Darkness Tour alongside FALSE GODS and shared the stage with BARONESS in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve 2025. Recognition from the heavy music press followed, including Rob Hammer BOTY 2024, placement in the Weedian Top 100, inclusion in the Monster Riff Top 75, and a position at number 32 on the Doom Charts.

Beyond the band’s musical identity, the members of LUNGBURNER come from diverse backgrounds outside the traditional doom and sludge scenes. All members work professionally in engineering disciplines and none of them originally came from doom or stoner rock bands. Their approach to heavy music developed organically from a shared interest in tone, atmosphere, and structure, resulting in a sound that balances crushing heaviness with dynamic composition.

LUNGBURNER currently features Jens Anderberg on guitar and lead vocals, Joseph Mills on guitar and backing vocals, and Joshua Broughton on bass. The band continues to evolve its sound while expanding its presence across the underground heavy music landscape.

MYCON RELEASE "WHERE SILENCE SINGS A HYMN"

PRESS RELEASE:

Mukilteo, Washington doom metal trio Mycon deliver a towering statement of atmosphere and weight with their release “Where Silence Sings A Hymn,” available now. Built on massive riffs, cavernous tone, and haunting melodic passages, the record stands as a powerful entry into the modern doom landscape while staying rooted in the heavy tradition of the Pacific Northwest.

Emerging from the rain-soaked shadows of the Northwest heavy scene, Mycon craft songs that move with deliberate force. Thick, layered guitars collide with thunderous rhythms and bleak melodic textures, creating an immersive listening experience that feels as vast and brooding as the forests and coastline that surround the band’s home region. Their sound blends crushing doom weight with hypnotic groove, delivering music that unfolds slowly and patiently before erupting into towering waves of distortion.

Formed in Mukilteo, Washington in 2020, the band was built around a shared passion for the slow-burning power of doom metal and the atmospheric pull of melodic heaviness. Mycon channel that influence into compositions that balance punishing riffs with moments of dark beauty, guiding listeners through expansive sonic landscapes that feel both meditative and crushing.

The band’s live performances bring that same atmosphere to the stage. Mycon build their sound patiently, locking into deep grooves before rising into enormous crescendos that fill the room with a wall of sound. The result is an immersive and punishing experience that resonates strongly with fans of heavy, melodic, and atmospheric metal.

Fans of Yob, Conan, and Horn Of The Rhino will recognize the spirit behind Mycon’s approach, but the band’s voice remains distinctly their own. Their music reflects the patience, darkness, and raw power that define the Pacific Northwest heavy scene while carving out a path that is unmistakably doom.

“Where Silence Sings A Hymn” continues that mission, pushing deeper into Mycon’s signature blend of crushing riffs and haunting melodic weight while setting the stage for even more material on the horizon.

IRON SLUG RELEASE "DECEIT AND MISERY"

PRESS RELEASE:

IRON SLUG – DECEIT AND MISERY

LABEL: ROAD TO MASOCHIST

RELEASE DATE: MARCH 27th 2026

Formed in Kent in 2022, a murky, anguished blight upon the so-called ‘Garden Of England’, Iron Slug have become an established presence on the UK’s doom scene. With a single-minded sense of intent and an array of irresistible riffs they have pounded their way into the consciousness of those drawn to the low, slow and oppressive. After two coruscating EPs – 2024s Debauched And Bored and Unrepentant Grin – both warmly received by fans and critics alike, the band are now ready to unveil their full-length debut of unrepentant doom. Featuring five mammoth tracks of backbreaking heaviness that each seem to stretch out into eternity, but at the same time never feel a second too long, Deceit And Misery has arrived.

The album begins with the seething, menacing guitars of ‘A Calming Turmoil’, the song gathering itself in a slow building of purpose, before settling into a relentless, methodical groove. When the strong, imposing vocals arrive their measured, melodic timbre adds a sense of gravitas that just increases the momentous weight of the music. ‘Love Retires Under Night’ descends in an avalanche of Sabbath-style riffing and gradually digs down deeper into the darkness than Iron Slug’s progenitors ever delved. This is raw, sludge-touched doom, stripped of all artifice, flayed to the bone and bleeding bitter emotion; its hypnotic, grinding heaviness carrying you to the indistinct boundaries between the waking world and the void of dreamless sleep. First single, ‘Graceless Bodies’ and the stunning ‘Die The Same’ follow, both lifted to new heights by superb vocal performances – steeped in soulful melody and a hint of the desert’s endless dust. All of which leads us beneath the hammer of ‘Ritualistic Feeding’, a bleak, shuddering leviathan of a track whose every chord, drum beat and fiercely enunciated syllable is delivered with meaning and might. Deceit And Misery is a bellowed statement of intent, a giant stride taken and a revelation of both immediate power and burgeoning potential. Iron Slug have arrived, in no uncertain terms.

Produced by long-term collaborator Jason Frye (Allfather, Jøtnarr, Erth Altr etc), Deceit And Misery sounds gritty and textured, tactile yet abrasive and imbued with rich depth of spirit. Meanwhile, the intensity of emotion generated by the unrelenting songs and fiercely focussed performances has been perfectly captured in the striking artwork of Black Crow White (Death Island, Extinction A.D., Nuclear Desolation etc). Iron Slug have created a raw, hard-hitting album that connects deeply with the essence of doom and when it hits the streets on March 27th via Road To Masochist, on 12” vinyl and CD formats, the impact will be seismic.

Line-up:

Will Rayner - Guitar/Lead Vocals

AZKEN AUZI RELEASE "INFERNUA"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: AZKEN AUZI

Album: Infernua

Release Date: March 6, 2026

Country: France

Genre: Occult Doom Sludge

Label: Argonauta Records

Azken Auzi, the French occult doom/sludge duo, will unveil their album Infernua on March 6 through Argonauta Records.

Three years after the release of their debut album, Azken Auzi return with a powerful new opus titled Infernua, marking a major evolution in the band’s artistic identity. After intense live activity and numerous concerts, the trio have refined a sound that is darker, more technical and emotionally deeper, blending occult doom and sludge with atmospheric tension and mature songwriting.

With Infernua, Azken Auzi finally reveal their true voice. The album explores the shadows of the human soul through oppressive heaviness, hypnotic grooves and carefully crafted dynamics. Each track pushes further into a universe where raw power meets introspection, creating a journey that is both brutal and immersive.

From the opening moments that immediately define the new direction of the band, to the final, more ethereal piece designed to leave a sense of fragile hope, Infernua unfolds as a complete and uncompromising experience. It is the sound of a band fully aware of its identity and unafraid to dive into darkness while still leaving space for emotional resonance.

More mature, more personal and more intense than ever, Infernua stands as Azken Auzi’s most accomplished statement to date.

Tracklist:

01 - Deep Hell

02 - SK

03 - Black Mass

04 - See You Next Tuesday

05 - Reptilian (feat. Nico Voidozer)

06 - From Hell

Formed in Spring 2021, Azken Auzi was born from the remnants of Maniac and Tom Is Fat, when Ludo, Laurent and Fred decided to explore a darker and more tormented side of their musical vision. Combining doom, sludge and atmospheric passages, the band quickly shaped a distinctive sound through rehearsals, songwriting and live performances.

Their first demo single “I Hate You” received strong feedback, leading to the recording of their self titled debut album released by Argonauta Records in 2023. Since then, Azken Auzi have continued to evolve, pushing their music into heavier, deeper and more expressive territories, now fully realized with Infernua.

Writer/guitarist Jerry Connor and drummer/singer Erica Missey lead the charge of this sonic triumvirate. Hellgrimm has the aid of talented bassists Johnnie Kay, Adrian Cavazos, Shawn Mitchell, Miriam Darnell, and Joshua Pechawer (RIP, Joshua ❤) when they hit the stage.

In early 2026, Hellgrimm will release its long-awaited sixth studio album, "Resurrection," on Friday, February 13 on streaming, downloads, and CD. The song are as follows:

Murder on My Mind

Reign of Terror

Resurrection

Embrace

Dead Superstar

Voodoo Man

Ride or Die

Dog Trash Must Die

Outcast (Kreator cover)

Shooting Stars

Bonus Track – “Sympathy for the Devil” (The Rolling Stones cover)

Nearly three years in the making, this album’s journey through technical difficuties, multiple recording studios, lost files, sickness, death, bad weather, and band line-up changes have fought hard to keep it from happening. Hellgrimm is overjoyed that this album is finally seeing the light of day and feels that some of their best work shines brightly on this CD.

Hellgrimm will feature songs from “Resurrection” as well as favorites from their previous work while supporting NWOBHM legends Satan on their four-date Spain Tour, February 19 – 22. Newly-recruited bassist, Shawn Mitchell, will be joining Hellgrimm on the tour.

Hellgrimm is also playing shows in the US and are working on other tours and festivals for 2026.

The first single and movie theme song, "Dog Trash Must Die," was released on December 23, 2025, along with the music video, directed by Justin Lee Soto. The movie is set for release in early 2026.

Jerry Connor and Erica Missey continue to work on the musical "Gideon's Journey," based on the book and lyrics written by author Paul Enemark. The band headlined a three-date run in Kobe and Osaka, Japan, May 2025, and played shows in and around Texas throughout the year while planning future stateside and overseas tours.

Hellgrimm has supported many talented artists since its inception, including The Kings of Thrash, Raven, (hed) p.e., Nasty Savage, Bitch, Sinister, WatchTower, Riot, Ronnie Munroe, Atrophy, Go Ahead and Die (Max Cavalera), Geoff Tate, Christian Death, Powerman 5000, Kix, Jetboy, Dizzy Reed (Guns & Roses), Michael Graves, Tommy DeCarlo (Boston), Vicious Rumors, Pissing Razors, and Goatwhore.

"Sacrifice," Hellgrimm's fifth studio album, dropped in March, 2024, online and on CD. An 11-song, hard-hitting, rock album, recorded and co-produced by Hellgrimm's long-time engineer, Daisun de Rijk, "Sacrifice" was the eagerly-awaited follow up to the LP "Ritual" (September, 2022). Single "Speed Demon" features drummer extraordinaire Mike Heller (Raven, Control/Resist, Malignancy, formerly of Fear Factory). "Til Death do us Party" was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in 2023 by legendary engineer Sean Magee.

"Sacrifice" also contains two Black Sabbath covers, "Never Say Die" and  "N. I. B.," the latter featuring drums by Robert Garcia. Hellgrimm contributed their version of "Outcast" to Dark United Media's 2024 album release, "Agents of Brutality: A Tribute To Kreator."

In late October 2024, Hellgrimm flew to England to support the Kings of Thrash (featuring David Ellefson and Jeff Young) on their 8-date "Anarchy in the UK" Tour in England, Scotland, North Ireland, and Ireland with special guest Andry.  In July, the band flew to Colombia for the Chaos Festival Vol. 1 in Medellin and Bogota and to Honduras for the Marcala Metal Fest, 3rd Edition. Hellgrimm played at the Whisky in Hollywood on September 19th, supporting Bitch and Angeles. Hellgrimm played several shows around Texas in 2024 in support of their new album.

In 2023, Hellgrimm hopped the pond first in March to support the legendary NWOBHM trailblazers Raven on their "All for One" Album 40th Anniversary Tour in the UK for nine shows alongside London-based rockers Daxx & Roxane; second in July to play Comic FEST! Cabo Rojo in Puerto Rico.

Hellgrimm released its first full-length album, "The Hunger," in June 2021, and three EPs; the self-titled debut (March 2019), “Elysium” (February 2020) and "Hellgrimm: Live" (March 2021).

Hellgrimm has three songs (including the main theme) for the upcoming TV series "Lowie Mortem: Chronicles of a Dead Detective," written by J. Rene Munz, to be directed by George Ortiz (release date TBA). Hellgrimm also has four songs in the soundtrack of the film "Darkness Strain," directed by Abraham Takatsuki  (April 2025).

Hellgrimm is sponsored by EMG Pickups, Morley Pedals, Lang Amps, Busuyi Guitars, Soultone Cymbals, Collision Drum Sticks, Koffin Krew Apparel and Bunny's Wonderland Designs.

Writer/guitarist Jerry Connor began his music obsession in his teens on South Padre Island, Texas. After years of playing in local bands, his world turned upside down when a fateful accident almost cost him his left hand and his life. Following two major surgeries, many doctors told him he would never play guitar again. Undeterred, Jerry studied music theory and composition at the University of Texas Pan American in hopes of becoming a composer.

Jerry rehabilitated his hand through years of relentless practice and was able to play guitar once again, moving around the country to work with national acts. In 2002, he landed in San Antonio, Texas, and began writing the music that would conjure the band Hellgrimm.

Drummer/vocalist/studio bassist Erica Missey fell in love with live music as a child while watching her grandfather and uncle play guitar in their family-owned bar and get-togethers. She started playing trumpet when she was eleven and enjoyed playing through high school and early into university.

After years of concentrating on her art career (animation credits include “Space Jam” and “The Prince of Egypt"), Erica returned to making music as a bass player. She met Jerry Connor in 2002 and joined him to form the band Monkeysoop. After years of playing bass and finding her voice, Erica switched to drums in 2010 and became the primary singer when Hellgrimm was conceived in 2018. Erica creates the artwork for Hellgrimm's albums and graphics through her art business, Ericatures.

In February 2026, Hellgrimm will be heading to Spain to tour with NWOBHM Giants SATAN for a 4- shows:

February 19 - Barcelona - Razzmatazz 3

February 20 - Valencia - Sala Zulu

February 21 - Madrid - Sala Silikona

February 22 - Portugalete - Sala Groove

More tours and shows will be added.

MOUNT PALATINE RELEASE "WORMHOLY WORLD"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: Mount Palatine

Album: Wormholy World

Release Date: February 6th 2026

Country: Finland

Genre: Heavy Psych Metal

Label: Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records

Wormholy World is the second full length album by Finnish heavy psych metal trio Mount Palatine. Built on long form jamming and deep ensemble chemistry, the album delivers a powerful mix of crushing riffs, hypnotic grooves and cosmic atmospheres. Doom heaviness, stoner grit, psychedelic textures and progressive dynamics merge into an immersive and cohesive sonic vision that pushes the band further into their own distinctive territory.

BAND QUOTE ON THE ALBUM

“Wormholy World is an ultimate trip through destruction and recreation, the chaos of life and the universe itself. Musically, the album builds on the psychedelic heavy jams that define our sound. Through years of ensemble playing we have developed our own style of heavy psych metal, combining doom, stoner, sludge, psychedelic rock and progressive metal. These chaotic trips form a cosmic dance where fragile melodies break under crushing riffs only to reform into triumphant harmony. The vocals shift from ethereal choirs to harsh growls.

Like our debut Cockroach Crusade, the album was born from intense jam sessions. All songs were created and arranged through continuous riffs and live interplay in our own rehearsal space and home studio at Saarni Music. After the main tracks were captured, we added many layers of guitars, synths, effects and vocals until the songs reached their final cosmic form. The final touch came from Mactus the Magemaster at Saarni Music, bringing clarity and life to the recordings. While the debut explored many influences, this album brings a stronger sense of cohesion and focuses clearly on the artistic vision we want to pursue.”

FOR FANS OF

Elder

Stoned Jesus

Khemmis

Mount Palatine are a heavy psych metal trio from Helsinki, Finland. Formerly known as The Paladin, the band evolved their identity to reflect a more focused and expansive artistic vision. TARLUNG RELEASE "AXIS MUNDI"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: TARLUNG

Album: Axis Mundi

Release Date: January 30, 2026

Country: Austria

Genre: Sludge Doom

Label: Argonauta Records

TARLUNG is a doom / sludge power trio from Vienna, Austria. Since 2013, TARLUNG stand for a thick and colossal sound: Two low-tuned guitars, a hard-hitting drum-set and brutal vocals create an earth-shattering live sound and mesmerizing records.

TARLUNG was formed in late 2013. After just 6 months the band recorded their self-titled album at DeepDeepPressure Studios and released it before playing a single live show. A series of gigs in Austria and Germany followed, with bands like Saturnalia Temple, EyeHateGod, Arabrot, Suma and Conan.

In 2016 TARLUNG hit the DeepDeepPressure Studios again to record the "Void" EP and the follow up full length album "Beyond the Black Pyramid" in a three-day session. "Void" was released on tape in October 2016.

In 2017 TARLUNG had their first festival appearance at United We Stand, along with other gigs in Germany and Austria. The second full length "Beyond the Black Pyramid" was released in May, with the support of Black Bow Records (Jon Paul Davis of Conan). The cover art was created by Alex Eckman-Lawn.

2018 brought touring through the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland with Throne from Italy, including the Stoner Doom Festival in Katowice.

2019/20 were focused on writing new material for the upcoming third album. Two releases followed in 2021: A split EP with heavy noise rock heroes KRPL from Graz, and the new full-length album, "Architect". The response to "Architect" was overwhelmingly positive, which included making it into the Doom Charts as #12 of June 2021. One of the highlights of a Covid hampered 2021 was co-headlining the first night of the Doom Over Vienna Festival.

Since 2022, TARLUNG worked on the new material for the new full-length album “Axis Mundi”. In 2023, they toured Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Czechia and Slovenia with their friends Mares of Thrace from Canada for two weeks. “Axis Mundi” was recorded in 2025, again at DeepDeepPressure Studios, and again featuring artwork by Alex Eckman-Lawn. It will be released January 30, 2026 by Argonauta Records, on Vinyl, CD, and on digital platforms.

OWLS OVER OAKS RELEASE "O.O.O:"

PRESS RELEASE:

Band: OWLS OVER OAKS

Album: O.O.O.

Release Date: February 27th, 2026

Country: Italy

Genre: Extreme Drone Doom

Label: Argonauta Records

Italian extreme drone doom outfit OWLS OVER OAKS are ready to unleash their long awaited debut album O.O.O., out on February 27 in CD and digital formats via Argonauta Records.

Emerging from the depths of Italy’s extreme underground, OWLS OVER OAKS deliver a crushing and hypnotic vision of drone doom rooted in pure sonic weight and ritualistic atmospheres. The project was founded by Valerio “Leynir” Possetto, former bassist of Enisum, and took its definitive form with the addition of vocalist Elisa “Aeretica” Iacopini, previously active with Amethista, and drummer Roberto “Bob Rip” Ripollino, known for his work with Nihili Locus and Nerocapra.

Leynir is the sole composer and lyricist, shaping a sound conceived as a total immersion rather than a collection of songs. The debut album O.O.O., the first chapter of a planned trilogy, was recorded entirely in analog and mastered by James Plotkin, whose touch further enhances the oppressive and organic depth of the sound. One of its most radical elements is the complete absence of guitars. Instead, the music is built on dual bass lines, both performed by Leynir, which generate a massive and suffocating low end foundation. The result is a monolithic sonic structure that recalls the darkest visions of Thorr’s Hammer, Khanate, and Burning Witch, filtered through a bleak and apocalyptic sensibility.

Composed of three long tracks for a total running time of about forty minutes, O.O.O. unfolds as a single liturgical descent into pain, perdition, and blindness. The album is conceived as an unbroken ritual where repetition, tension, and space play as important a role as distortion and volume. Every passage is wrapped in a pitch black atmosphere inspired by the desolate imagery of a Mad Max like world.

Before the full release, the band previously unveiled an edit version of the track Owls, offering a first glimpse into their oppressive sound universe. It is still available at the following link:

https://song.link/owlsoveroaks_ow

Owls

Oaks

With O.O.O., OWLS OVER OAKS invite listeners into a totalizing experience where heaviness becomes meditation and darkness turns into vision.
