Plamene Inkvizície (Flames of Inquisition) is the third release of the band FUNUS. It's a two-track single released on January 6th, 2025, following EP Onen Svet, released in 2023. The brand-new songs feature a new rhythmic section with hammer-drummer Ganjosh and bone crusher bassist Mejdžr (pronounced as /ˈmeɪ.dʒər/).

The writing and recording of Salt Lake City’s Harvest of Ash's second full length album was a dark time for the band. Lineup changes and injuries stopped the band for months at a time. Yet, they took all of this calamity and channeled it into a new album about confronting and overcoming chaos.

What they produced is a new album, titled Castaway. Lyrically, it charts a journey from self-criticism and feelings of rejection to being happy with who you are and what you have become as a person. A main theme of the work is the idea of 'amor fati,' or love of fate. This is the notion of living life in an authentic way, embracing every decision and path taken – good and bad – as uniquely your own, that you would do everything the same way again. This makes Castaway a deeply personal statement about when you feel the bottom has dropped out of your life, and reclaiming value in yourself during these times.

Band Bio:

Founded in 2014, Graveslave has long been a mainstay and driving force in the Midwest metal scene. Known for their breakneck speed, technical songwriting, and outrageous music videos, Graveslave have been providing mosh pits and windmills to crowds since inception. A seasoned touring band, Graveslave have accomplished a major 2018 EU tour with Origin, Rings of Saturn, and Hideous Divinity, as well as several U.S. tours, sharing the stage with acts such as Abigail Williams, Micawber and Unearth to name a few.

In 2021 the band released their most recent LP, No Center, and was "highly memorable" according to No Clean Singing. The band then spent the majority of 2021 and 2022 promoting the LP, which was also featured in Decibel Magazine, New Noise Magazine, GhostCult Mag, and more. In 2024 the band released the first of two companion EPs, titled Relinquish, Life. Continuing to refine their unique blend of blackened progressive death, the band also released a new music video for the single Stretched Until We Bleed, described by No Clean Singing as "barbarically careening and crashing...it's also technically impressive - and somehow precisely executed."

SERPENTYNE RELEASE "PROPHETESS OF DREAMS"

Serpentyne enchants fans with "Prophetess of Dreams", the first single from their highly anticipated album "Tales from the Dark" out February 2025. This hard-hitting, fast-paced track is the album’s powerful introduction, showcasing the darker and fiercer side of the band’s evolving sound.

​Opening with a "barrage of bullet-like guitar riffs," as described by the band, "Prophetess of Dreams" immediately sets an intense tone. The song seamlessly combines modern, aggressive metal elements with the symphonic and choral layers that define Serpentyne’s music. Guitarist Lee Willmer utilizes an 8-string guitar to create unprecedented depth and heaviness, while the dual vocals of Maggiebeth Sand and Nigel Middleton add dramatic intensity.
