HELION PRIME RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "PHOTO 51"

PRESS RELEASE:

HELION PRIME have released a new lyric video for the fourth single "Photo 51" off of their upcoming album "Question Everything" due out on October 5th in North America along with Europe via their label Saibot Reigns and October 28th in Japan via Ward Records. The Japanese CD version will feature two exclusive bonus tracks "Prof (Demo)" and "Rain (Trivium Cover)" (track listing below) and is available for pre-order HERE. The North American/EU pre-order at Helionprimemetal.com.

The band comments on "Photo 51":

"We are very happy to release the final single for our album "Question Everything", which comes out one week from today! This song is called "Photo 51" and based on...Photo 51! The first photograph of DNA. This song is a favorite among the band from the new album and those who have heard it seem to claim it as a favorite as well! It might just become a new staple in our live sets! We hope you enjoy Photo 51! And thank you to Scott Kennedy from 12 Inch Media for creating it."

It's been about two years since the band's sophomore release "Terror of the Cybernetic Space Monster" and Sacramento sci-fi power metallers Helion Prime returns with their third effort and the much shorter title "Question Everything" set for release on Monday, October 5th, 2020 via their label Saibot Reigns.  This is Helion Prime's first album with new vocalist Mary Zimmer, who has also accompanied the band on two separate tours of the United States. It also sees the band's original singer, Heather Michele, returning in a writing capacity and contributing all lyrics and melodies. Heather Michele also along with other former Helion Prime vocalist Sozos Michael and with John Yelland (Judicator/Dire Peril) add their guest vocals on the full length.

The highly anticipated third record is a concept album, with each song revolving around different figures throughout human history that had the courage to question the status quo of their respective worlds/societies, in some cases even dealing with harsh persecution as a result. Those Helion Prime chose to write about-faced prejudice, mockery, ex-communication, and persecution - yet through it all, they held true to their beliefs and ideas. Time would be their greatest ally as their ideas and identities were eventually validated, oftentimes not until after their passing. They serve as an inspiration for all minds to continue thinking outside the box and staying true to themselves.

Jason speaks on the album itself:

"This album has truly been amazing to work on. The idea behind it is something I've been holding on to since around the time I started the band. Aside from writing some of what I consider to be Prime's best work it was a great experience getting to work with Heather again on an album as she once again contributed her talents for the lyrics."

"Question Everything" was produced by Jason Ashcraft and Alex Nasla. Mixing was done by Chris Collier and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima along with additional mixing/drum edits/reamping plus writing and performance of keyboard arrangements by Alex Nasla of Gear Gods Studio. Guitar/Bass edits by Michael Goodrich and cover art by Marc Whisnant.

NIHDRYM RE-RELEASE "KOSMOSOPHIA"

PRESS RELEASE:

NIHDRYM - Kosmosophia - CD

Label: Nihilward Prod.

French project born from old timers of the underground. Kosmosophia introduces raw cosmic black metal strongly influenced by the old Polish black metal scenes and acts such as VELES, INFERNUM and early GRAVELAND while displaying a strong identity with eerie, cosmic keyboard passages among other things. Sounds like it was recorded in some damp basement in the early 90’s. Vilwolfheim of SOMBRE CHEMIN handles the drums and keyboards on the recording. The demo includes a LEGION OF DOOM covertrack.

CITIZEN RAGE RELEASE "BLACK" EP

PRESS RELEASE:

CITIZEN RAGE

Black EP

Wasted Wax Records

25 September 2020

Genre: Hardcore Punk / Thrash

Recommended If You Like: DRI, Madball, Good Riddance, Ignite, Comeback Kid, and Get the Shot.

Citizen Rage arrives with a new release, plainly titled Black EP. Following the success of the Pink EP in 2018, the Calgary group quickly returned to the studio and laid down four blisteringly angry tracks of their trademark hardcore/thrash hybrid. Now, in partnership with Wasted Wax Records, those tracks got released under Black EP on September 25th.

Formed in 2014, Citizen Rage is a five-piece hardcore punk outfit from Calgary, Alberta. The Canadian quintet makes their own brand of hardcore punk to tear apart controversial topics in pursuit of social change.

On the strength of several western Canadian tours, a slew of self-released EPs, the band secured slots on festivals like Armstrong Metal Fest, Loud as Hell, East-Town Get Down, Lethbridge Deathfest, and a headline spot at the inaugural Decimate Metal Fest. In addition, they shared stages with the likes of DRI, Cro-Mags, Trapped Under Ice, Madball, Comeback Kid, Cancer Bats, Revocation, Dayglo Abortions, Ignite, and many more.

The forthcoming Black EP features back-up vocals from members of Bogue Brigade, The Devils Sons, and Real Sickies. Since a tour is not an option in this COVID period, the Calgary punks will release a few music videos to accompany the EP, as well as some live-streamed sets, and other assorted surprises.

The band states, “We hope to carry on spreading our message of positive social change through more tours, more recordings, and more high-fives, hugs, and hardcore punk.”

INFERI RELEASE "OF SUNLESS REALMS" EP

PRESS RELEASE:

INFERI

Of Sunless Realms

The Artisan Era

9 October 2020

Seasoned technical melodic death metal favorites Inferi are proud to announce their upcoming EP, Of Sunless Realms. The 5-song effort will be released on October 9th via The Artisan Era. It is the follow up to the group's 2019 re-worked prior album, The End of an Era | Rebirth, and the next step in the group's continual evolution following their beloved 2018 full-length, Revenant.

After blowing up worldwide upon the 2014 release of The Path of Apotheosis, Inferi has been on a relentless tear, not only dropping two releases since then but touring non-stop as well. During which time the group toured across the USA, Canada, and Europe with high-profile acts such as Obscura, Archspire, Beneath The Massacre, Paladin, Exist, Rivers of Nihil, Wormhole, Virvum, Warforged, and countless others.

Now in 2020, with touring having ground to a halt due to COVID-19, the band was able to focus on finishing their next offering of top-notch material which became Of Sunless Realms. Of Sunless Realms continues the band's well-established sound steeped in catchy melodies, orchestral grandeur, and high-octane aggression, delivered in a bombastic and elegant way all their own. The stunning cover artwork for Of Sunless Realms was handled once again by the well-known fantasy artist Helge C. Balzer.

Inferi band statement regarding Of Sunless Realms

"We have been hinting at a new full length for a while now. However, since 2020 has had its fair share of surprises already, we thought we would do something unexpected and make something happen during this global downtime. We bring you a new 5 track EP, “Of Sunless Realms.” We still have a full-length album in the works and will continue to put all efforts into making it the best release we can."

Inferi - Of Sunless Realms Line-Up

Malcolm Pugh - Guitar, Backing Vocals (A Loathing Requiem, ex-Entheos, etc.)

Mike Low - Guitar (Oubliette, ex-Enfold Darkness)

Stevie Boiser - Vocals (Equipoise, Ashen Horde, Tethys, etc.)
