"In our new song, Toymaker, we used the lyrics to tackle the struggle of artistry and self acceptance. Telling the story of an old man who has committed his entire life to developing his work, without ever taking time to develop himself or his understanding of himself, we use the perspective of the old toys he has grown ashamed of to provide an outside look at why the artist cannot accept himself. Pairing this story with the over the top soundtrack like orchestration, along with a gothic tone painted over our progressive metal influences, Toymaker is one of our favorites on the EP without question. We're extremely proud of it and we feel all artists will be able to connect with the message in its story."

Formed from the ashes of Citadel back in 2017, progressive death metal band Diatheke’s full length debut is a concept album that attempts to tell the biblical story of existence; from the first moments of creation to the last dark days of humanity and the redemption that lies beyond. It’s an incredibly ambitious project, but the music that the band have crafted is as staggering and monumental as their chosen subject matter. From the opening bars of ‘The Creator’, invoking the breathtaking immensity of the universe, to the exhilarating, triumphant and celebratory conclusion of ‘The Coronation’ …And The Word Is God immerses the listener in the most incredible sensory overload of complex, expansive and imaginative progressive death metal. There is so much to explore within the borders of this daunting record that you will be making new discoveries with every listen for years to come. While ‘The Deceiver’ drowns you in darkness with its jarring attack – vocal virulence and power, jagged and dangerous riffs with a discordant edge and a sense of threat rising up through the domineering drum attack, ‘The Redeemer’ (featuring a guest vocal performance from Jake Potter of Crucify The Flesh) is a self-contained symphony, resplendent in different shades, hues and colours, alive with emotion and drama. The playing throughout is remarkable and the overall listening experience is draining, bewildering, intensely challenging but richly rewarding. NEPHYLIM RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO: "INNER PARADIGM"

Melodic Death metal outfit Nephylim releases their long-awaited first new single and music video called “Inner Paradigm”.

“Inner Paradigm” is a 6-minute song elaborating, metaphorically, the (un)subconscious inner duality of one’s character: “What kind of person do I want to be?”. Based upon life experiences, self-(un)consciousness and person’s character this life-defining choice will be made.

The song will appear as the closing track of the brand-new “Circuition” album, which is set to be released 7th of March 2025.

The album is recorded by Jos Driessen at Sandlane Recording Facilities and Yarne Heylen at Project Zero Studio. Mixed by Joost van den Broek at Sandlane Recording Facilities (Ayreon, Blind Guardian, Epica, Powerwolf, Sabaton), and mastered by Darius van Helfteren at Amsterdam Mastering (Epica, Floor Jansen, Blackbriar).

Their brand new track is accompanied by a music video, shot by Vic Bomers (Viccnzz) and edited by Tijn Bosters and Vic Bomers. The artwork was created by Giannis Nakos (Remedy Art Design).
