ETERNAL RECURRENCE Embarks On An Emotive Voyage In New Single "Eternal Recurrence" ft. Mordian

"Eternal Recurrence" is the new single release from ETERNAL RECURRENCE featuring guest vocal performance by Mordian (DIAMORTE and SHIELD OF WINGS). Drawing inspiration from chamber music, ETERNAL RECURRENCE offer an alternative, more intimate take on modern symphonic metal. "Eternal Recurrence" is the title track from the project's forthcoming, self-titled, debut EP due to arrive later this year.

In "Eternal Recurrence", the metaphor of a sea voyage represents a symbolic journey pertaining to the grief and struggles of experiencing miscarriages. Nautical imagery is present not only within the lyrics but also across the instrumental arrangement of the track. The implementation of the minor key and driving rhythm of the 'Ashoka'-style theme represent the inevitable storms faced along the way. Meanwhile, a softer, major key version of this theme performed on piano at the very end of the song signifies gentle lapping waves and a safe arrival into the habor.

Project founder, multi-instrumentalist and composer C. Alex Luke comments, "For those fighting against such choppy waters, it can be emotionally devastating to watch friends and family experience 'smooth sailing' as they have healthy children seemingly easily and without any difficulties or complications. After a couple of miscarriages, it can feel like the cycle of pregnancy and loss will 'eternally recur'."

Guest vocalist Mordian, who also appears on the first single “Precious Stones", returns on this track. Bringing an ethereal quality, Mordian contributes to powerful harmonized duets with C. Alex Luke, and an emotive lament in the song's bridge.

All material on Eternal Recurrence was composed around a chamber ensemble led by German Dmitriev on violins, Steven Schumann on cellos, Maciek Szczyciński on double bass, and C. Alex Luke on piano. These elements are combined with aggressive guitars, lead work, and drumming rooted firmly in modern metal.

The upcoming self-titled EP represents the first chapter for ETERNAL RECURRENCE and introduces the sonic identity that will guide the project moving forward. Over recent months Hungarian symphonic metallers, Meteora, have released a trilogy of EPs - In this Silence, Broken Mind and Dissonance. They have now brought all the songs that comprised these EPs together, with an additional unreleased instrumental track, into one full length album - Darkest Light. Symphony of Destiny Unleash Debut Single “Exile of Horus” – Out Now!

Richmond, VA – November 29, 2025 – Richmond-based symphonic metal outfit Symphony of Destiny has officially released their debut single, “Exile of Horus.” Fusing powerful metal riffs with cinematic orchestration and mythological storytelling, the band is making their mark on the symphonic metal scene.

Formed earlier this year by guitarist and composer Wesley Eldridge, Symphony of Destiny combines epic orchestration with heavy, driving riffs for a sound that is as theatrical as it is powerful. Maryland-based blackened power metal artist EXILED HOPE is excited to announce the release of Apocrypha, the third installment of its ongoing musical narrative, set for release on April 11th, 2025. This twelve-track album follows a new protagonist who seeks guidance from familiar (yet otherworldly) forces as he uncovers the truth about the path to success laid out before him, further expanding the story EXILED HOPE has crafted.

“The Summoning” is the track that opens the album, showcasing the struggles and deep battle ahead for the protagonist, setting a preface for the upcoming melodies. “The Day Will Come” and “Blood Of The Ancients” follow suit, melodically taking inspiration from the likes of KAMELOT and NIGHTWISH to add softer tones of suspense. On a lighter note, “Dreamwalker” introduces variety and balances the album’s heavier songs through a two-part ballad, featuring Metal Matt as the first guest appearance in the discography. “Over For You” swiftly transitions into a unique blend of folk and melodic death metal, featuring rapid guitar riffs and empowering lyrics.

“Altar Of Moloch” is the second song with a cameo, Imperator Mortem, and is the “call to action” of this album, giving a sobering to the protagonist for the second half of his treacherous trek.  “The Silence Is Deafening” depicts a lovers’ quarrel, with two conflicting perspectives that create a sense of distance, confusion, and resentment—emotions that drive the protagonist through the second phase of their journey. “Behold My Shattered Skies” takes a complete 180 from the overall nature of Apocrypha, embracing a full folk style infused with hints of synth, drawing inspiration from the video game The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.

The longest track on the record is “Deathslayer”. At 8 minutes and 11 seconds, “Deathslayer” gives contrast to the vocals, with layers of growls and lighter choral layers, and shows the protagonist’s inner power being used to its fullest extent. “Lightborn” is a love letter to the bands that heavily inspired this album. With sweet synths and hard hitting riffs, this song also serves as an inspiration to choose the higher path and recognize one’s worth.

“Remnants” is a strictly instrumental piece of ambience, the calm before the storm that is the finale, “Forbidden Majesties”. “Forbidden Majesties” closes out Apocrypha perfectly, wrapping up the ambience with notes of both heavier and lighter styles, giving the natural conclusion this album deserves.

Sofia, the visionary behind EXILED HOPE, comments on the album “The release of Apocrypha represents 3 years of practice, exploration, trial and error, learning, and a lot of overthinking. I started working on this album in July 2021, then realized that I didn't have the skills I needed to create the music I wanted to create. After I released "Dreamwalker" as a single in April 2022, I took a short hiatus from working on original music to sharpen up my skills, take lessons, and play around with making covers as practice. During this time, I also started law school, which was such a huge time commitment that I didn't touch my guitar for the entire fall semester in 2022. I started working on music again during winter break, since I didn't feel like myself when I completely stepped away from it, and had learned better time management skills at that point. That knowledge resulted in the release of several more singles to generate attention for the album in 2023 and 2024, and I can finally, confidently say that I have a cohesive work that I am proud of, after years of nitpicking it endlessly. The songs each have their own unique character, given the long time span over which I nitpicked and tinkered with them, but they also flow together like chapters in a book or scenes in a movie. That's what I think makes a great album: songs that stand out on their own while carrying the album through their pacing and placement. Apocrypha feels detailed and relatable, yet larger-than-life, and I hope you enjoy the journey of listening to it as much as I enjoyed the journey of creating it. Creating music is about the journey as much as it is about the destination, or the final product.”

Multi-instrumentalist Sofia Frasz established EXILED HOPE in 2019, and draws musical inspiration from the likes of AVANTASIA, NIGHTWISH, KAMELOT and CRADLE OF FILTH to name a few. "The Inquisition takes the listener into the middle of an emotionally painful scene. The storyteller has had to hide the truth at all costs, because its revelation could lead to disastrous consequences. However, the moment of reckoning inexorably approaches the narrator, who has resigned herself to her fate.

The Inquisition was the first song recorded for the upcoming Dead Among the Living album. In a way, it showcases many elements that are typical with this band's music. There are historical references in the lyrics, and the mood of the song foreshadows very dark scenarios."

BIOGRAPHY:

Autumn's Grief takes the listener on a journey through the sorrowful and cinematic metal music landscape filled with beautiful piano melodies, dark and heavy guitars, robust bass and mournful vocals. Founded in 2021 and originated from Finland, Autumn's Grief has released two full albums, The Dead Don't Smile (2021) and Dead By The Dawn (2022). The third album, Dead Among The Living will be the ending album of the band's Dead-trilogy. The band consists of guitarist Santtu Rosén (Dead End Finland), keyboardist Ville Skön (Willie Dangerr, Synthwave Willie) and vocalist Noora Virtanen (Tulio)

DIALITH return with their latest offering, Alter. The 4-track EP aims to push further the boundaries of symphonic power metal through trailblazing ventures into new sonic territories. Alter will be released on April 5th, 2024.

“With every new release, I think that the quality of the songs just gets better and better. All four songs on this EP are high-energy, unique, and special to me. I am looking forward to releasing this out into the wild.” 

The release opens with "Writhing Red", a folk metal inspired song complete with flutes and fiddles, with lyrics that explore the nature of anger, hate, and greed. Following up to that is the anthemic "Ironbound", a chorus-focused experience inspired by Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn with some tasteful saxophone completing this unique sound. Alter concludes with the crown jewel of the EP: The two-track epic of "Hourglass (Shadowdancer Pt. 1)" followed by "Shadowdancer". Featuring a heavily middle-eastern inspired atmosphere, its lyrics evoke the mythology of the ancient Near East. This song signals a turning point in the band’s history–it weaves a unique balance between heavy metal staples like gritty guitars and thundering drums with Middle Eastern vocal improvisation and instruments.

Malevolent, started in 2022 as the brainchild of Belgian composer/musician, Nikolaas Van Riet, trying to merge the early days of symphonic and gothic metal, with a new modern, heavily cinematic inspired sound. HYLOXALUS RELEASE NEW SINGLE: "DREAM CHASM"

Dark power metal three piece HYLOXALUS are preparing to unveil their haunting and heavy debut album on January 26th, 2024. Combining ethereal soprano lead vocals with thundering instrumentation and shadowy atmospheres, this is power metal with a difference. 

Today, the band has shared the first taste of the album with new single and video "Dream Chasm." The band comments: "Introducing our new music video for "Dream Chasm", the first single from our new album "Make Me The Heart Of The Black Hole". A slow, powerful banger in which a sleep paralysis demon taunts you." 

HYLOXALUS' luring sound will draw you into the album's opener "He Dies In The Swamp". Unceasing percussion drives the track with inhuman speed, while distorted guitars bring grounding rhythms for ghostly harmonies to soar above. Drift off into the taunting nightmares of "Dream Chasm", but beware the sleep paralysis demons. Instrumental layers in "Undead in Ward 6" make for theatrical offering, aptly portraying a vampiric tale of escaping terminal illness in exchange for eternal life. The final tracks, "Severed From The Reborn Sun" and "Splitter" end the album with a dramatic tale as the protagonist attempts to destroy God. HYLOXALUS' dissonant progressions and fast-rhythms manifest unease and suspense as the epic battle takes place. 

About HYLOXALUS:

Based out of Edmonton, Canada, HYLOXALUS initially grew from a handful of demos with intentions to explore a melodeath sound. Instead, soprano lead vocals were added and an array of styles bled into the mix. Having been operating as a studio project, 2021 saw HYLOXALUS take to the stage supporting RAVENOUS and the trio subsequently performed at Armstrong Metalfest (2022) and Hyperspace Metalfest (2023).​ The band's first two EPs, released in 2019 and 2021, were musically placed in the realms of 2000s euro power metal but with a moodier edge. Make Me The Heart Of The Black Hole sees the trio develop their sound into FEAR FACTORY/STRAPPING YOUNG LAD riffs meets TRISTANIA, with drumming heavily inspired by RUSH.

EXILED HOPE, the blackened power metal project of Sofia Frasz, will release her third album Apocrypha in mid-2024.

Sofia says about Apocrypha "Though the upcoming album has its lighter and softer moments, its defining quality is a much deeper dive into doom and black metal. It has a more gothic, ethereal feel, since much of the album deals with the world that bridges the living and the dead."

Three singles have already been released to date on all streaming platforms and now her previous Bandcamp-only single "Altar of Moloch" is set for an October 31st release on Spotify, Youtube and all other digital services.

 " 'Altar Of Moloch' represents a pivotal moment in both the story of 'Apocrypha' and the debut album, 'Exiled Hope.' It references the ending of the debut album when Hope is sacrificed so that the city's corrupt leaders can attain immortality by feeding off her life essence and that of others in the city. Up to this point in the story of Apocrypha, the protagonist has been tempted to embrace the same power that the now-fallen city leaders enjoy, without knowing about its true origins and the secret ritual sacrifices that now maintain it. "Altar Of Moloch" is the point in his journey where he finally discovers the true nature of that power and is horrified by what he is about to do. Demonic entities taunt him throughout the song and try to convince him that he would be weak if he rejected the immortality they offer."

About EXILED HOPE:

Multi-instrumentalist Sofia Frasz established EXILED HOPE in 2019, and draws musical inspiration from the likes of AVANTASIA, NIGHTWISH, KAMELOT and CRADLE OF FILTH to name a few. EXILED HOPE’s releases all take place in the same fictional universe and combine to form a dark fantasy metal opera. Each album centers on a character dealing with both an internal and external conflict in this world, and the lyrics explore how they navigate those conflicts. This is intended to provide some kind of escapism through the lyrical worldbuilding, while still keeping the songs grounded in real, relatable emotions despite their fantastical setup. EXILED HOPE is working towards the next album, Apocrypha, due to be released in late 2024. Through EXILED HOPE, Sofia has composed music for two short films, Hallowed Paths and What Happens After Midnight, and has collaborated with UK melodeath outfit STEEL FORGE.
