A new Blackened Death Metal entity has formed. Featuring veterans of the Milwaukee metal scene, RELIC is set to release debut EP, Crown of Flies, April 3 on CD and digital formats.

The EP's first single, "Scavengers Daughter," is streaming now at youtu.be/JHYByItCdFE, as well as on Bandcamp and Ampwall.

Delivering Death Metal's dissonant punishing riffage with Black Metal's relentless chaotic speed. RELIC builds a new monument on the foundation of those that came before. Comprised of seasoned Milwaukee metal scene veterans with a history of making tight and focused music. Their debut EP, Crown Of Flies, is a blistering slab of Midwest 90s Blackend Death Metal worship. Delivered with malintent for its listeners. No frills, no scene drama, or gimmicks used by so many bands today. Pure underground Death Metal that is in your face and out for blood.

Azken Auzi, the French occult doom/sludge duo, will unveil their album Infernua on March 6 through Argonauta Records.

Three years after the release of their debut album, Azken Auzi return with a powerful new opus titled Infernua, marking a major evolution in the band’s artistic identity. After intense live activity and numerous concerts, the trio have refined a sound that is darker, more technical and emotionally deeper, blending occult doom and sludge with atmospheric tension and mature songwriting.

With Infernua, Azken Auzi finally reveal their true voice. The album explores the shadows of the human soul through oppressive heaviness, hypnotic grooves and carefully crafted dynamics. Each track pushes further into a universe where raw power meets introspection, creating a journey that is both brutal and immersive.

From the opening moments that immediately define the new direction of the band, to the final, more ethereal piece designed to leave a sense of fragile hope, Infernua unfolds as a complete and uncompromising experience. It is the sound of a band fully aware of its identity and unafraid to dive into darkness while still leaving space for emotional resonance.

Formed in Spring 2021, Azken Auzi was born from the remnants of Maniac and Tom Is Fat, when Ludo, Laurent and Fred decided to explore a darker and more tormented side of their musical vision. Combining doom, sludge and atmospheric passages, the band quickly shaped a distinctive sound through rehearsals, songwriting and live performances.

Their first demo single “I Hate You” received strong feedback, leading to the recording of their self titled debut album released by Argonauta Records in 2023. Since then, Azken Auzi have continued to evolve, pushing their music into heavier, deeper and more expressive territories, now fully realized with Infernua.
