BURIAL RUTHLESS released their debut album Held By Evil on August 14th, 2026 through Great Dane Records.

Based in Barcelona, Spain, BURIAL RUTHLESS are a Venezuelan technical death metal band originally formed in 2015. After earlier smaller releases, including an EP in 2019 and later singles, the band now present their debut full-length album, Held By Evil, released through Great Dane Records.

The album comes after a long road for the band, with Victor Figueroa remaining as the last original member from the 2015 line-up. Now featuring musicians connected to Venezuela, Ecuador and Spain, BURIAL RUTHLESS bring together technical death metal, brutal aggression, progressive elements and atmospheric passages across a 43-minute album.

The album is already supported by the official video for “Demons Within”, with further music videos set to be released soon. BURIAL RUTHLESS are also unveiling their 2026 tour dates.

LEVIATHAN A.C. RELEASE "GOD´S FAILURE"

Leviathan A.C was spawned from the dark streets of Venezuela in 1999. Rooted in primordial obscurity and guided by blasphemy, the band forged four discographic productions through years of relentless rehearsals, chaos, and underground rituals. One of these releases, “God’s End Is the Path”, was issued by the Colombian label Manitu Records in 2005, while bestial live performances took place across various stages in Venezuela and Colombia.

In 2009, Leviathan A.C signed with the Swedish label Salute Records, releasing its fourth full-length album, which had already been completed in 2006, Through the Unholy Rules We Shall Rise—a work that pushed the band’s vision forward through stronger compositional arrangements while firmly reinforcing its path within the most raw and hostile territories of Black Metal.

Following the relocation of Nebirus (vocals / guitar) to Spain, Leviathan A.C entered a prolonged period of silent incubation. Years of perseverance, devotion, and compositional fermentation led to the rebirth of the project in 2024 with the EP “The Rise of Leviathan”. Recorded at Bohinum Home Studio in collaboration with Rey Vaj, the EP delivers four tracks of impious, oppressive, and blasphemous Black Metal, deliberately reviving the filth and violence of the band’s earliest era while achieving a solid and uncompromising sound.

In the present cycle, Leviathan completed the album “God’s Failure”, scheduled for release on January 23, 2026, through a joint alliance between Vacula Productions (Ukraine), Artes Negras Prods (Uruguay), and Impaled Records (Brazil), later expanding the contamination into Mexico through Nekromanthra Records.

With the new lineup, Leviathan A.C prepares for a new phase of live manifestations. The band’s intent is absolute: to channel devotion and blasphemy into suffocating stage atmospheres, invoking a hostile and ritualistic presence, and delivering Black Metal in its most personal form—unfiltered and charged with contempt.

“God’s Failure” is not an album; it is the sound of the collapse of divinity—a ritual of negation where faith rots and only blasphemy remains: a ceremonial execution of the God of Abraham.

The album was recorded in Valencia, Venezuela, at the band's own studios, and was subsequently mixed and mastered by Ruben Moyano at Cromosoma Estudio in Montevideo, Uruguay, ensuring high-quality production for this new release.

The song is part of the latest record production of the group “New Beginnings are Met”, released in 2019 and has received excellent reviews both in Venezuela and in Latin America.

Overhate, one of the main rock-metal groups in Venezuela, specifically of the thrash metal style, will premiere its new video clip, corresponding to the theme The penance and the lesson -The penance and the lesson- and which was released this Friday on the channel of Youtube of the band.

The song is part of the latest record production of the group New beginnings are met, released in 2019 and that has received excellent reviews both in Venezuela and in Latin America and is even distributed worldwide independently.

The music and lyrics for The penance and the lesson were written by Giancarlo Vettor, who is also a singer, guitarist and founder of Overhate. The video was recorded in three countries: Venezuela, Peru and Canada. The direction of the video was made by Samir Acosta, who is also the band's bassist. The mix was done by Ronald Del Águila, drummer of the group, while it was mastered by renowned engineer Marcos Burgos, responsible for the live sound of numerous international artists.

“The penance and the lesson is a song that tries to represent what luck is for everyone in certain decisive moments, the aggressiveness of the song wants to give the listener a focus of frustration when luck, which serves as our destiny, does not fall in our favor. However, if lessons are learned from these unfavorable situations, certain situations can become very clear, as to how difficult decisions well made can often bring the best results. Keep in mind, if there is no solution, no answer to the question or anything you can imagine, the dice fall for everyone, as penance and lesson define our moments now, ”explained Giancarlo Vettor.

All the members of Overhate participate in the video clip, interpreting the song, in the company of the actors Johallyn Luy, Fernando Rivas and Diego del Águila. The general production was the responsibility of the entire band and it was a challenge to do so since the members are living in three different countries, in addition to the restrictions of the Pandemic in each place, however, thanks to technology, a video was produced. of the best quality.

The single also shows a high musical level. The work of both guitars is quite technical, requiring great dexterity from both guitarists. The rhythmic part is also demanding: the drums take a lot of speed, as well as tempo changes and the bass must do a powerful and precise work of the rhythms. Overhate is a band founded in Caracas that released their first album in 2007, entitled God in a trench. LYONEN RELEASE "HARD TO DESTROY" VIDEO

Hailing from Venezuela, Lyonen is the solo project from the mind of Luis Rivas. A clean and fresh take on classic heavy metal, Rivas intends to take the metal world by storm through his music. 

Today, Rivas shares the video for “Hard To Destroy” off the debut album “This is Lyonen” released this past August. The track is a mix of sounds, from heavy metal to thrash. Rivas composed this instrumental song full of energy because he wanted to transmit power, as we are all-powerful machines that are hard to destroy, simple as that.

“This is Lyonen” was recorded by Rivas as the sole musician, engineer, and producer for the entire release, aside from session vocals by Craig Cairns on certain tracks along with Jose Vegas on bass for “No Borders” and Javi One doing drums on “2 Hours to Go”. Originally fifteen tracks were recorded, but only eleven were kept on the release, some with lyrics and others that are instrumental. This was a challenge for Rivas, but overall a very satisfying experience for him. He explains further:

“In this album, I’ve been focusing on my own experiences, my ups, and downs, and most importantly how to achieve your goals with confidence. It comes from my thoughts from years ago, and most of the songs were composed years back. It is important to mention that I am from Venezuela, a Hispanic country, my native language is Spanish, but since I was a kid, I’ve been listening to music in English, it sounds natural for me despite it sometimes being hard when it is time to write your own lyrics in this language, however, I keep learning and reading to improve my writing.”

SENTENCIA RELEASE "SOLVE ET COAGULA" ALBUM

SENTENCIA is a death metal band formed in Caracas Venezuela in 1988. After several presentations at the local scene, the band records their first demo tape at 1991. In 1993 they released the second demo called "Silence" with songs recorded the year before. This demo includes a song well known by the local specialized media named "Racism" within the band made a fusion with afro and caribbean sounds. In 1994, Sentencia realeased their third demo, recorded in a live concert at RajaTabla café, Caracas, which eventually turns into a split demo with Extremaunción Band at the end of 1994. In 1995 Sentencia realeased their fourth demo named "tape 95", which made a preview of the songs that were recorded for their first production named Roots (that later was named as Inner Agression), Sons from the South and a new version of Racism from 1993. In the middle of 1995 the band realeased the first CD production simply called SENTENCIA. After some concerts and presentations around the country , the band disbanded definetely in 1996. SENTENCIA remains as a cult band in the Venezuelan metal culture 25 years after they come back with their second professional studio work called "Solve et Coagula" In this album SENTENCIA lyrics speak about the Death, Anti-Christianity, Society, Chaos and Misanthropy. Venezuelan one man black metal band SELBST is streaming the tune "The Depths of Selfishness". The track is part of the band´s new album "Relatos de Angustia" that will be released on August 7th through Debemur Morti Prods.
