Collateral Detriment Announces the Release of Their New Studio Album "Into the Detriment"
The Venezuelan Cyber Death Metal band Collateral Detriment—featuring Alex Detriment (guitar and vocals), Jhon Detriment (guitar and vocals), Pelusso (bass and backing vocals), A\B (keyboards), and Fraino (drums)—is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated full-length album, "Into the Detriment," available on all digital platforms this May 16, 2025.
"Into the Detriment" promises a sonic immersion into a dystopian future dominated by technology and its consequences. Each track weaves intense and reflective stories, fusing the brutality of Death Metal with the cold, oppressive atmosphere of Industrial Metal and the complexity of Progressive Metal—all under the distinctive Collateral Detriment seal.
This new record marks a milestone in the band's career, featuring a total of 9 powerful tracks. The album includes fresh compositions that explore uncharted sonic territories, as well as reinterpretations of fan favorites delivered with renewed power. "Into the Detriment" is a deep dive into the evolution of Collateral Detriment’s Cyber Death Metal sound.
Fans will find lyrics that delve into themes such as computer-driven control, brainwashing, genetic manipulation for genocidal purposes, and the omnipresent threat of rogue artificial intelligence, expanding on ideas teased in their previous works.
The album was recorded in Valencia, Venezuela, at the band's own studios, and was subsequently mixed and mastered by Ruben Moyano at Cromosoma Estudio in Montevideo, Uruguay, ensuring high-quality production for this new release.
