One-Man Tech-Death Band ASHES OF MOMENTS PERISHED present "Clairvoyant Evanesce." A stand-alone single, the song weaves through an intricate maze of sonic and emotional ​tapestries.

As a somewhat conceptual release, "Clairvoyant Evanesce" centers around a soul eternally bound between life and death by its own volition, perceiving the perpetual flow of time that inevitably ceases with death. Although aware that their death has come and they must pass, the soul is ultimately unable to move onto an afterlife due to being stuck in the past, unable to let their past mistakes and regrets go. This concept, while tapping into macabre fiction, can be viewed as a symbol for those who feel imprisoned or shackled by anxiety and/or depression and unfortunately struggle with immense feelings of pain, guilt, or regret for things they have been subjected to in the past that are unwittingly controlling their present and future actions.

This new offering of brutal technical death metal was masterminded by guitarist, vocalist, and overall songwriter, Isaac Rice; and follows AoMP's 2023 EP critically-praised, Womb in Black Flame.

AKHLYS was created by Naas Alcameth (NIGHTBRINGER, BESTIA ARCANA) in 2009 to serve as a voice for the muse that arises from the dark lands between death and dreams through chilling ambient darkness.

Since that time AKHLYS has been slowly fleshed anew, arising again as a dark ambient and black metal unification, the reification of a dream sojourn through the chambers of Yesod.

Following 2020's widely-worshipped "Melinoë", AKHLYS, the globe's premier channelers of abyssal nightmare, return triumphant with six elaborate and exhilarating new tracks of pure Black Metal terror.

Drawing from esoteric and mythical traditions, where the land of dreams is placed within the darkness of the underworld, arises the "House of the Black Geminus". Through labyrinthine halls, shadowed corridors, cellars of dread, and attics of epiphany, as ordeal and ecstasy meet at the vertices where each beholds his own daemon.

With AKHLYS now a monumental live entity, the visceral power of the stage is evident in the band's most all-encompassing, destructive and diabolically grand-sounding record-to-date.

Formed in 2011, INSECT ARK is the Berlin-based duo of American artists Dana Schechter (SWANS) on bass/lap steel/synth/vocals, and drummer/percussionist Tim Wyskida (KHANATE, BLIND IDIOT GOD).

"Raw Blood Singing" - INSECT ARK's fourth full-length - is the captivating result of a year spent writing. Sharing an obsession with innovation and distillation, the duo merged to create a sonic landscape which vacillates between sensory overload and isolation in a seething void. Many of the songs on "Raw Blood Singing" were penned alone in 2021 by Schechter; they were gutted, reworked and rebirthed when Wyskida joined in 2022.

The outer realms of avant-Metal, psych-Doom, and experimental Goth intersect here, but INSECT ARK fiercely refuses the trappings of simple genre categorization. The band weave a lush, bleak, vast and expansive landscape as they move from whispers of synth to a monstrous wall-of-sound via Schechter's blistering lap steel playing, diabolical bass-work and the mammoth, searing power of Wyskida's drums.

The album title is deeply rooted in the concept of evolution - on both a human and a universal scale – stories of physical beings bound by equal parts unchangeable matter and malleable, shape-shifting energy. The music, too, has evolved beyond INSECT ARK's origin as an instrumental band, adding for the first-time the deep honeyed poison of Schechter's vocals. Showing a penchant for crafting haunted and memorable melodies, the contrast of her smoky voice with the spare, brutal music feels both uncomfortably intimate and icy cold.

Ebony Archways Unveils "Misanthropia" - A Gothic Metal Masterpiece

The masters of metal visionaries, Ebony Archways, are set to drop their new album titled Misanthropia on May 31, 2024. Ebony Archways is a dark, introspective album that takes the listener on a powerful trip through the darkness of the self. 

“Misanthropia” is a song that deals with such topics as life fatigue, addiction, and existential hopelessness, providing the audience with a rather gloomy view of life. As for the album, it consists of ten powerful songs, such as “Drowning for a Breath” and “Eternal Sleep” and it combines both the dark atmosphere and the emotional lyrics. 

“Misanthropia”, is led by Christian Lechner and features orchestral arrangements by Lasse Elkjaer Andersen and guest vocals by Lorena Valta. Recorded, mixed, and mastered at the Tonstudio66 by Peter D. Fritz, the album offers the listeners an unparallel musical experience. 

The album cover designed by Michael Trimmel and layout by Thomas Glettler is the perfect representation of the music that is inside the album, making listeners to delve deeper into the emotion behind the songs. Ebony Archways was founded in 1999 and has grown from a project in a studio to a strong force in the world of metal music. 

‘Misanthropia’ follows this tradition, providing a contemplative experience of the album into the negative aspects of human character. To the fans and newcomers, “Misanthropia” is not only an album, but a chance to open the door to Ebony Archways and look into the abyss of one’s spirit.

ARCTIC DREAMS Unleashes Debut Album "And the Agony Has Started"

ARCTIC DREAMS, the mysterious band from St. Petersburg, is glad to present the audience with the long-awaited first album called “And the Agony Has Started. ” The band’s music can be classified as metal with electronic gothic and industrial tendencies that will fascinate listeners and defy expectations. 

ARCTIC DREAMS was created in 2009 with a vision to be different from the rest of the heavy music bands; the band members include Aleksandr “Alex_Y” Järvinen (vocals/guitars/music/lyric), Igor “Sydius” Pokatilov (back-vocal/guitars), and Sergey “Glam_Dickens” Dik. Taking ideas from Metallica, Cradle of Filth, Hocico, the band tried themselves in everything, mixing the favorite metal with electronic, gothic and industrial with the addition of classical composers like Vivaldi, Beethoven and Mozart. 

Finally, after years of hard work and preparation, ARCTIC DREAMS got into the studio to record the first demo, the aggressive metal with electronic influences which can be compared to the bands like Deathstars, Dope Stars Inc, The CNK. While their activity was temporarily put on hold, the band members kept on writing songs and polishing their material, which would eventually form the basis of the band’s concept that would be expressed in “And the Agony Has Started. 

The recording of the debut album started in 2014 and the band encountered a lot of problems during the process. Unfazed, they continued, and eventually set up their own recording studio, the Arctic Sonic Wave Recording Studio, to fine tune their music. Now, after a lot of struggling, ARCTIC DREAMS offers people to join their world with the new song “And the Agony Has Started.
