MAYHEM RELEASE "ATAVISTIC BLACK DISORDER / KOMMANDO" EP

PRESS RELEASE:

The infamous MAYHEM return this year with an outstanding EP called “Atavistic Black Disorder / Kommando” with additional material from the “Daemon” session, including a homage to bands that laid the foundation for what was to come! The EP will be released on July 9th.

The lords of darkness have dug deep and reflected their influences to create a musical odyssey that shows them multifaceted in several ways.

For this goal, cover versions of bands like DISCHARGE, DEAD KENNEDYS, RUDIMENTARY PENI and RAMONES were chosen, which in typical MAYHEM manner impressively fit into their bursting and darkened sound.

The band also recruited BILLY MESSIAH and MANIAC, who took over vocal performances on two songs!

In addition to the named cover versions, a previously unreleased track called “Voces Ab Alta” is featured on the EP, which continues the musical journey alongside “Black Glass Communion” and “Everlasting Dying Flame”, which were used as bonus tracks for the 2019 album “Daemon”.

The EP thus closes the capital, which was opened with the release of “Daemon” back in 2019 and illuminates the band once again in typical unusual and surprising-sounding way.

The visual concept was once again handled by Italian designer Daniele Valeriani (Lucifer’s Child, Dark Funeral) who already took care of the artwork for their previous long player “Daemon”.

The band comments:

“I always had some punk influences,” says Attila. “I guess it comes from my childhood when we were constantly looking for more extreme music. That’s how I discovered Dead Kennedys, GBH, The Exploited, Sex Pistols, U.K. Subs, Discharge, Rudimentary Peni and so on, in the early 80’s, alongside heavy metal. But then I discovered Venom, that was a game changer!”

Necrobutcher further adds.

“We got some extra time in the studio recording the Daemon album two years ago, all band members were asked to punch in two cover tracks for some extra material. I chose songs by Deathstrike (The Truth) and Death (Evil Dead) which were both used as the bonus tracks on the album. My other contribution was to bring in two old members because of their obvious connection with punk: Maniac on the Dead Kennedys track and Billy (Messiah) on the Discharge track and some of the others.”

ENDLESS CHAIN RELEASE "FORTHCOMING PAST"

PRESS RELEASE:

Finnish songwriter Timo Mölsä will be releasing his studio project Endless Chain's debut album "Forthcoming Past" via Rockshots Records on June 25th, 2021.

The album features guests Mikko Heikkilä (Kaunis Kuolematon, Dawn Of Solace, Black Aeon Sun), Ville Hovi (Blackstar Halo), Aki Salonen (Nemecic), Sami Yli-Sirniö (Kreator, Waltari), Antti Kolehmainen, (Waltari), and Samuli Mikkonen (Korpiklaani). The full length was recorded, mixed, and produced by Aleksanteri Kuosa (Before the Dawn, Wolfheart, Waltari) along with mastering done by Juho Räihä (guitarist of Swallow the Sun).

Today, Endless Chain is now ready to unveil the next single "All of The Above" with guest vocals from Ville Hovi (Blackstar Halo), Aki Salonen (Nemecic).

Mölsä comments:

"The second last song I composed for the album. The song was built around a chorus lead guitar melody. After all, a pretty straight striking metal song with clean and growling vocals as well as a big chorus."

A late bloomer to being a musician, Endless Chain's Timo Mölsä had his musical awakening in 2016, however, he has been listening and influenced by various genres of metal music for over 30 years. It took re-introducing himself to guitar with long-time friend Ari Hokkanen as a fun pastime that drove Mölsä to create his own songs. What would soon follow is a new project with contributions from Hokkanen for writing and lyrics.

Soon after, Mölsä shared his demos with drummer Samuli Mikkonen (Korpiklaani), who, after listening, joined the project and performed all the drums on the debut record.

Step by step things fell into place, through Mikkonen, Mölsä became acquainted with producer Aleksanteri Kuosa who had a big impact on the completion of the debut album.

"Aleksanteri is an imaginative producer and he was also very patient with a perfectionist like me. He knew how to weed out extra notes from my compositions and finally got the most out of my songs. There were maybe a total of 20 songs in the beginning, of which we went through less than 15 in the preliminary production. Finally, 10 songs had been selected for the album. Through Aleksanteri, I also got many other great musicians involved in the project."

The end result is Mölsä's dark and melancholic sound premiered through Endless Chain's first offering "Forthcoming Past".

"Excellent album!"

- Jupiter Variation

"Ten songs of uninterrupted violence."

- Acta Infernalis

"It's really a massacre!"

- Deadly Storm

"Arsebreed are really hammering on it!"

- FFM-Rock

"Arsebreed manages to walk the fine line between outright brutality and memorability. It brings plenty of both to the table, resulting in a listen that occasionally feels just as playful as it is visceral."

- Dead Rhetoric

BUTOH is ultra brutal, technical metal that hits you from every direction! After successfully demolishing the ears of the brutalheads with the catchy album Munching The Rotten, which was released in 2005 by Neurotic Records, ARSEBREED are now ready to release BUTOH, an album featuring a variety of surprising musical concepts.

ARSEBREED is built up as a brotherhood clash between members from Pyaemia and Disavowed, with the almighty Romain Goulon on drums. This collaboration carries characteristics that are strongly attached to these two bands and it is clearly felt in their compositions, along with the two-vocalist approach, which is quite unique for a brutal Death Metal band. Although their music may feel different in the riff department and also contains a very pronounced bass shredding that truly stands out on this album, the overall feel is ridden with the dominant colors from Pyaemia and Disavowed.

Check out the new album from ARSEBREED and prepare your ears for the weight of classy, brutal music.
