ASPHYX launch “The Nameless Elite” single and video off upcoming album “Necroceros”!
ASPHYX frontman Martin van Drunen checked in about the song and clip as follows:
“This third single of our forthcoming ‘Necroceros’ album is entitled “The Nameless Elite” and is about modern-day warfare, especially about the brave men and women in the many international elite units that combat any form of terror to protect us all against violent acts of insanity.
We thought the location at the Overloon War Museum was a fantastic one to shoot a video for any kind of song dealing about war and the Sherman tank in the clip actually did serve during WWII on the battlefields in that area. It may not be directly related to the content of the track, but ASPHYX is a band that has always and will always take on any subject concerning war, without glorifying it. War is Hell.
We would very much like to thank the wonderful cooperative people of the Overloon War Museum in The Netherlands for giving us permission to shoot there, causing pleasant chaos with our noise and smoke!”
"The Enemy Inside" features 6 raw tracks and with no concessions, result of the reunion of musicians from the extreme metal scene of Lyon (France). This album is an expression of the violence, frustration and hatred accumulated within our contemporary society. The lyrics are inspired by some films like "Falling Down", "Plattoon", "Rampage" and science fiction literature.
Industrial Metal Band SCREAM AT THE SKY Unleashes New Video For "World Of Hate."
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
December 28, 2020 - Texas industrial/metal band SCREAM AT THE SKY has unleashed a brand new video for their song, "World Of Hate." The track appears on SCREAM AT THE SKY's self-titled EP which dropped in February of 2020.
The "World Of Hate" video was directed by Erik Gustafson courtesy of Erik Gustafson Cinematography and Brian Carter.
"This is actually one of the first songs I wrote for SCREAM AT THE SKY. I wrote the song about a real life situation of one of my close friends giving up everything because of their world falling down around them .
The song itself was written to inspire people to be proud of what they have. Life tests you every day. But you're not alone because the same battles that you facie involve and impact more than you if you fail.
It's also about looking directly into a person who is not really there in their mind, soul, and spirit; a body walking in a world without a soul... without purpose, only hatred and doubt living in their mind. It's about finding your way by turning your hate into purpose through stepping up and taking the test the world of hate throws at you.
It's written to get a message to the person directly that was and is still fighting their own battles, with hope that one day they get back to doing what they are good at and love. Come down walk in a world of hate. This is just another test that you have to take!!!" - Brian Carter
Deep Space Mask is the solo project of Raymz (ex Fiinky Pie, hard rock band who produced three albums with Brennus Music Records between 2003 and 2009). It is an "one man band", created in February 2020.
On the 1st album "Songs From The Dark Light" Raymz composed and played all the instruments (guitars, bass, drums, keyboards), all the voices, the sound recording and the mixing.
Having always been a fan of Black Sabbath (his idol is Tony Iommi, the absolute master of the Heavy guitar), Death SS, Pentagram, Trouble, Paul Chain, Candlemass, he decides to play this music which is so dear to him, namely a powerful Heavy Metal / Stoner Rock but which would keep catchy choruses, very important thing for Raymz who is also a fan of Hard Rock and Classic Rock. Some psychedelic rock touches are also included here and there. The album "Songs From The Dark Light" is entirely produced in Raymz's home studio in Roanne, France in 2020.
The overall atmosphere of the album is quite dark and spatial while keeping this catchy touch immediately accessible.

Lead Vocalist & Band Director – Osney Cardoso
“It has been a very long journey to arrive at this place where we are ready to release our first single ‘Pentafixion’ off the highly anticipated album with the same name.
The song is backed up by a masterful piece of cinematic filming; all carried out in Havana under the direction of respected film maker Victor Vinuesa and producer Oscar Maceo de la Torre.
The band is really happy with the outcome of the recording and the final music video is causing quite a stir amongst some circles in our home country.
It’s a very confronting song and music video which is probably why it has been censored in some places. The video does present some pretty harsh images to do with suicide but we did this because the song and music video has an underlining message to the youth of today which we felt was important to share to our legion of metal fans everywhere. Pentafixion is the first single off the album with plans by our label WormHoleDeath records to follow this up with the release of ‘The Mighty Ring’ in February 2021 and ‘The Birth’ at the start of March 2021 before the full length album is released late March 2021.
Bassist & Composer - Alex Jorge AKA “Mole”
When I developed the theme for this album, I wanted to do something more than just write a bunch of tracks and lay them down on one big album. For me it was important to show the progress Mephisto has made over the past few years and to deliver the fans an album that was worthy of being called a Mephisto album.
The album is a concept album with all the tracks intertwined and joining each other to stitch the whole album together. There are sections within the album that have been combined to create acts and parts (like you would have in a stage play) with additional tracks being laced between them to ensure the music flows seamlessly. It was a very big undertaking especially here in Cuba, given the lack of resources we have to make music that matches up to a professional industry standard.
I am very happy to say that Mephisto’s new album Pentafixion does exactly that! It showcases the journey that Mephisto has been traveling for the past few years as we worked together to develop a new album for the fans.
Clearly we have done something right as this album will be released through our new record label WormHoleDeath Records towhom we have recently signed a 4 year deal with.
Drummer & Orchestral Composer – David L Neives
I am really happy to have been involved in the creation of the orchestral parts for the Pentafixion album. As the newest member of the band, it’s sometimes expected by others that you just sit back, play what you are told to play and have minimal to zero input on the music being recorded.
I am glad to say that this is not how we do things in Mephisto, with everyone being given the opportunity to bring their talents and skills to the band in order to make the best songs and album we can make for ourselves and for our passionate fans. Having the opportunity to test out some of these songs in a live environment also gave us the ability to hone them up and tweak them prior to laying down the final tracks in the studio. I really think this helped us to deliver the very best of Mephisto and its essence in this latest album Pentafixion. I can’t wait for it to be released so it is available to the supporters who keep us inspired to create and record.
