The third full length of Poland based band DIRA MORTIS brings forth seven intense, massive and crushing death metal songs influenced by bands like INCANTATION, IMMOLATION and AUTOPSY. “Ancient Breath Of Forgotten Misanthrophy” was recorded, mixed and mastered in Roslyn Studios with producer Krzysztof Godycki (Kult Mogił, Morda Stigmata, Stillborn, Ulcer).

DIRA MORTIS came into existence in 1998 in Gorlice, Poland, and continues to serve a powerful dose of ominous cemetery stench death metal. To date, the band has released records through the likes of Defense Records and Let It Bleed, with two full-length albums among a long line of demos, EPs, and more fleshing out their discography. In 2014, a compilation featuring the band’s early demos called Rusty Razor Cuts was released, and the following year, the band released their second album, Psalms Of Morbid Existence, which was highly appreciated in the music press and was promoted on many shows in Poland. DIRA MORTIS has played live alongside the likes of Marduk, Immolation, Parricide, Deformed, Antigama, Hypnos, Patologicum, Terrordome, and Chaos Synopsis.

Polish Epic Doom group EVANGELIST will release Ad Mortem Festinamus on CD and limited edition vinyl (300 copies) December 18 on Nine Records.

In times of doom, EVANGELIST returns with songs of death and destruction. The band was first started in the spring of 2008, with inspiration mainly coming from the obscure epic metal scene in the U.S., epic doom metal pioneers and metal classics in general. Major lyrical inspiration came from the twisted minds of R.E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, history, religion and spirituality of the ages gone by.

Their debut album, In Partibus Infidelium, was recorded between 2009 and 2011 and released in June 2011 by PsycheDOOMelic Records. Their sophomore record, Doominicanes, was recorded between 2012 and 2013 and released in May 2013 by Doomentia Records. In October 2014, a collaboration with CAPILLA ARDIENTE troops was revealed in the form of the infamous Capilla Ardiente/Evangelist 12” split on which EVANGELIST delivered their own version of MAYHEM’S classic “Freezing Moon." In December 2018, after a short hiatus, their third album, Deus Vult, was released by Nine Records.

Almost one year later, recording sessions began on two new songs, as well as a rendition of one of MANILLA ROAD'S finest tracks, "Mystification." These three songs were paired with another three tracks recorded during the Deus Vult recording sessions, and resulting in the Ad Mortem Festimaus EP.

Dread Sovereign was formed in Dublin, Ireland in 2013 by Primordial vocalist Nemtheanga to give praise to filthy cult old doom, black and heavy metal. Their first EP - 2013's Pray to the Devil in Man - came out on Roadburn/Burning World Records to coincide with the band's live debut. Soon after, two full-lengths were released by Van Records: All Hell's Martyrs (2014) and For Doom the Bell Tolls (2017). And now, in early 2021, the band will release their new album, Alchemical Warfare, through Metal Blade Records.

"Our motto when we started was 'The World is Doomed'…and it seems life is imitating art…as we are looking like filthy prophets!" says vocalist/bassist Nemtheanga. "Several years in the making, the new Dread Sovereign is ready for the End of the World, which might be next year in case you didn't know! A bit more reckless and up-tempo than the previous releases, yet the template remains doom, 'Alchemical Warfare' just has a bit more Venom and Motorhead thrown into the mix. If it's the end of days we might as well go out with middle fingers raised right?"
