German Thrash Metal legends Sodom will release their new single and video for the song "Friendly Fire" today. The song is taken from the upcoming studio album "Genesis XIX" - out November 27th: https://Sodom.lnk.to/GenesisXIX
Tom Angelripper: "So, here it is … my favourite on this album. I can hardly believe or indeed describe how much I love this song. I’m pretty sure it sets the direction for our next album. And in the meantime, I’m convinced that it’s the clever sequence and combination of notes in our twelve equal system that makes music (… generally …) so diverse. Lord, I wish we’d known that back then ... Often in a war situation, soldiers find themselves having to direct their weapons against their own comrades who are holed up close to enemy positions. These victims were accepted as part and parcel of the overall victory. Large numbers of supposed enemy planes were also shot down …"
The kindred of Yorkshire raise the curtains: Their new MLP "Macabre Cabaret", following the band's highly acclaimed album "The Ghost Of Orion" (March 6th) is out today!
Singer Aaron Stainthorpe states: "The latest offering from Yorkshires finest merchants of misery features new music composed in the style the band have made their own over three decades which continues their relevance within the scene today. Macabre Cabaret is as menacing and brooding as it is beautiful and melancholic with crushing guitar riffs sailing side by side with emotive piano pieces and vocals to suit all flavours. The stunning artwork captures the image of the band perfectly offering a visual interpretation of the aural devastation that is My Dying Bride."
Aaron Stainthorpe adds: "The new video from My Dying Bride offers a visual treat for lovers of gothic menace and doom-heavy art. A narrative shot in various locations is cut with scenes of the band members doing what they do best – performing their music. A provocative story is played out to sombre overtones with a climax sitting well inside the shadows of malice as the band are dramatised in silhouette shade and smoky aplomb."
The EP was produced mixed and mastered by maestro Mark Mynett and crowned with a beautiful and sinister artwork from Bunker Artworks.
It comes as jewelcase CD, digital version, Black Gatefold LP, Black And Blue Splatter LP [US exclusive - limited to 300 p.], Blue Sparkle LP [Mailorder Exclusive - limited to 300 p.], White and Grey Splatter [Mailorder and Wholesale Exclusive - limited to 300 p.], Marigold LP [EMP Exclusive - limited to 300 p] and White LP [US - Revolver Magazine Exclusive - limited to 300 p].

Bay Area Death Thrashers HEMOTOXIN have released the official video for "Automation." The track is taken from Restructure The Molded Mind, released by Unspeakable Axe Records earlier this year. The video was filmed at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA.
"The Pittsburg trio deliver an utterly vicious half-hour of technically sound death metal which oozes both maturity and vigor. This is what Death would sound like if you combined the mature wholesomeness and lyrical themes of Human with the primal fury and song lengths of Scream Bloody Gore."
- The Metal Observer (9/10)
"On Restructure the Molded Mind... Hemotoxin waste zero seconds in blasting apart the quiet world with off-kilter and out-there death thrash cruelty. More aggressive than progressive, Restructure the Molded Mind still stands out as a highly intelligent predator."
- Decibel
"Hemotoxin sticks to their guns on this newest release, but they’ve tightened up both their performance and songwriting. If you’re unfamiliar with the group but are looking for some good death thrash with equal parts brain and brawn, you should keep an eye on Restructure the Molded Mind."
- Toilet ov Hell
"As time goes on, the cover art from California band Hemotoxin only gets more perplexing. Their complex brand of death/thrash metal similarly follows suit with each album."
- Skull Fracturing Metal
"Hemotoxin are poised to spread their contagion. Audio inoculation is the only way to develop an antidote to this onslaught. Check out Hemotoxin and let their unique style of death metal restructure your mind."
- The Metal Channel
"...Restructure the Molded Mind is everything a ravenous death thrash maniac could ever want and more, especially in terms of solid songwriting."
- Rock and Metal Temple
"Hemotoxin's music is jagged, unyielding and razor sharp. Excellent!"
- The Killchain
"Hemotoxin draw much of their influence from the era when Thrash was transitioning into Death Metal, but also add their own highly technical spin to their material."
- No Clean Singing
HEMOTOXIN’s third studio full-length album, and second for Unspeakable Axe Records, finds the band pushing further in every direction—more destructive, more melodic and undeniably catchy. The power thrash of "Automation" sinks into flesh like a hook, while others are a relentless and ferocious attack on the senses.
With a stew of influences ranging from traditional heavy metal, to progressive metal and the pantheon of death and thrash acts, HEMOTOXIN continue to write the music they want to hear. On Restructure the Molded Mind, HEMOTOXIN showcase a near-total indifference to easily-emulated and trendy sounds.
