ARTACH RELEASE VIDEO FOR "SHIMMER"

PRESS RELEASE:

Coming from the coldest, windiest, snowiest, and foggiest city in Canada, St. John’s, Newfoundland's Artach is heavily influenced by nature and even takes after the bleak climate they are surrounded by. The result of months of winter provides inspiration for their raw, epic black metal that is in their new album “Sworn to Avenge”, which is now available via Depressive Illusions Records as of June 25th.

As described by Artach, their music is angry, savage, unhinged, but contains melody and some twists and turns to surprise the listener. Varied song tempos mixing blasting with thrashy, punky, doomy elements keep the sounds interesting and not monotone. They go into further detail about releasing their new music video for “Shimmer” for the full length's release day:

“Lyrically, this one is more descriptive and doesn’t have any hidden meanings. Those shimmering and dancing lights of the Aurora Borealis can be seen even here in Newfoundland, but further north they look magnificent. There’s a spoken part in this one taken from a part of a poem by David Vedder (1790-1854) that was written about the Northern Lights. Musically this one is one of the more black metal sounding songs with lots of blast beats but as always, tempered with melody and hand-banging riffage.”

“Sworn to Avenge” is the second album from Artach, following up 2020’s “Chronicles of a Black Winter”. Fans can expect more of the same compared to the first, but it pushes the envelope a little bit. Artach embraces evolution and aspire to play tighter, and have a more professional sound, but never sound overly polished.

Artach’s process is a collaborative one between the duo, the genesis of the songs are arranged on guitar by Sruthán and very roughly recorded at home. After getting together, they record drums and flesh out the song in an afternoon and by then the song is pretty much ready for the studio recording of guitars, then bass, and lastly vocals.

Artach is recommended listening for anyone interested in raw black metal and those with an interest in Celtic Frost, Darkthrone, and Satyricon.

“Sworn to Avenge” is available via Depressive Illusions at the following links: DepressiveIllusions.com, Artach.bandcamp.com, Amazon, Spotify.

CONJURER RELEASE VIDEO FOR "CHOKE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Following a spectacular and long overdue return to the live stage at the Download Festival Pilot last weekend, sludgy UK post-metal heavyweights CONJURER are inviting you to check out the video for "Choke," the relentless opening track of their last full length album "Mire" (2018). Effortlessly switching from sludge to metallic hardcore, and from progressive post metal to post black metal, this song not only demonstates the musical proficiency of this young band, it also proves that they can't be pigeonholed no matter how hard you try.

CONJURER - Choke (Official Video): https://youtu.be/u_KCxp5CSvg

CONJURER's Conor Marshall (bass) comments:

“'Choke' has become a bit of a fan favourite over the past few years since 'Mire' was released and it’s one of ours too. I think the general consensus within the band is still that 'Choke' is the “best" Conjurer song that’s been released so far and showcases a lot of what we do. The video loosely follows the lyrical theme of the song, which looks at the way things like “fame” and pressure from society, the industry and the gutter press can affect artists and celebrities. The idea being that the shots of the band in a white room, dressed in suits represents someone being dressed up and pushed out to perform despite them clearly not being in the best state, and them then starting to deteriorate, and the dark, more aggressive shots representing the inner turmoil and struggle.”

CONJURER's still untitled second full-length and follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2018 debut album "Mire" is set to be released in the not too distant future. Stay tuned!

In the meantime you can watch a video for the song "The Mire" and stream the band's first two previous releases here: http://nblast.de/Conjurer-Catalogue

DEATH INGLORIA RELEASE "DEATH INGLORIA II: DEATH BY ADMIN"

PRESS RELEASE:

Death Ingloria

Death Ingloria II: Death By Admin

Self-Released

10 August 2021

Beginning as a solo project by Galina Rin in 2017, Death Ingloria grew with the addition of Luc Pomfret and Dr Mobius at the end of 2020. Each album by Death Ingloria delivers Sci-Fi stories accompanied by an animated comic. As well as being a regular on the UK and Ireland's Comic Con scene, Death Ingloria have performed at London’s historic 100 Club, The Edinburgh Fringe and most notably in a 360, 15 metre projection dome at Boomtown Fair festival in 2019.

Bringing the narrative alive through distorted guitars, dynamic vocals and haunting piano melodies, ‘Death Ingloria II: Death By Admin’ is an emotional journey. ‘I Accept This State’ delivers a poignant and deeply touching listening experience with powerful lyrics and beautiful instrumentation. From the energetic rhythms of ‘Battle Stations’ through to the progressive and experimental ‘Nuke The Site From Orbit’, this Mini Album will leave you wanting more.

Death Ingloria explore a dark and intense narrative through an impressive array of musical styles. Traditional rock elements fused with creativity produce an epic combination of music, comic art and animated storytelling. Take a seat and prepare for a sensational tale that leads to the end of the world.

“Death Ingloria albums are more than just the music. More than the comic book story. More than the animations that connect them. They are true life experiences bound together and magnified upwards through a lens of Science Fiction. Why would anyone care about the lowly life of an office worker? You are already living that reality. Have you ever daydreamed the world away just to save yourself one more day of drudgery in a job you hate? In this new album we explore that very feeling to its inglorious conclusion. We bring you Death Ingloria II: Death By Admin.  Let us imagine the worst, so you don't have to.”

Events: Friday 30th July –Live Listening Party (IRL and Livestreamed) at the iconic Electrowerkz in London. Fans will hear the new album played in full and be able to buy the album before general release.
