DIESEL THEORY RELEASE "HIDDEN FROM THE SUN"

PRESS RELEASE:

Diesel Theory

Hidden from the Sun

Full Scale Fire

18 June 2021 | DIGITAL

Genre: Metal | Country: US

Diesel Theory's "Hidden from the Sun" is the follow-up to their first self-titled release. It is 11 original songs that are all connected by one simple fact, they are honest and heavy. The album is meant for the fans to feel the pain and emerge better, every word and note meant to heal.

We challenged ourselves by adding new textures with vocals, harmonies, keyboards, and our signature crushing guitar and bass performances. Each layer meant to compliment the words written. It sounds like Diesel Theory, not like anyone else.

Song titles and themes:

1. We Fall Away — (trauma, unable to keep it together, mental anguish, pain, loss, loss of hope)

2. Furthest From God — (seeing a person die, guilt, loyalty)

3. Key Is Pain — (making mistakes, unable to change time, poor communication, realizing it’s too late)

4. Make Me Wise — (lying, learning lessons, depression, revenge, self-deprecation)

5. Hidden from the Sun — (destroying a relationship, trying to put it back together)

6. Interlude (Dies Irae) — (inspired by a Latin hymn sung in a Mass for the dead)

7. My Role — (believing in things that are lies and then learning the truth)

8. Savage Attacks — (hypocrisy, betrayal, ignorance, compromise, revenge)

9. Ash Borer — (instrumental inspired by forest (tree) death by unnatural cause due to invasive species)

10. Drill — (a war/fight song, inspiration, call to action, avoidance)

11. Breathing Underwater - (about being in a prison cell, and thinking you are dreaming it, only to reveal something else and raging/freaking out about it)

In anticipation of the release of their ‘Hidden from the Sun’ album, New Jersey heavy metal veterans DIESEL THEORY premiere the song “Furthest from God” exclusively via Apple Music now! On the upcoming ‘Hidden from the Sun’ Album, the NJ duo delivers eleven brand new tracks that clock in over forty-two minutes. The songs are heavy, dark, fast, slow, and deeply moving.

PARADISE LOST RELEASE OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO FOR "ONE SECOND"

PRESS RELEASE:

On July 16th, British metal legends PARADISE LOST will bring an icy breeze of gothic doom over this summer by releasing the captivating testimony of last year's streaming event "At The Mill". Captured at The Mill Nightclub near the band’s hometown in Yorkshire, England, the recording of the BluRay was directed by Ash Pears, who previously worked with the band on their music videos for ‘Medusa’ and ‘Obsidian’. Mixed by Les Smith and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano, the show will be available in various formats including CD, Blu-Ray and different vinyl colours. Today, the band unveils another appetizer for the release with a live performance of their evergreen 'One Second' that you can watch here: https://youtu.be/wF0gZNoeIeE

While we're all eager to get back to concerts and festivals, singer Nick Holmes looks back on the previous year and comments:

"I wish the lockdown had just been for One Second, unfortunately it's been over a year."

Several of the vinyl formats are already sold out, so be quick and secure a copy of the BluRay, CD or remaining vinyl here, or pre-save the album digitally: https://bfan.link/paradiselost-atthemill.ema

Formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in 1988, PARADISE LOST were unlikely candidates for metal glory when they slithered from the shadows and infiltrated the UK underground. But not content with spawning an entire subgenre with early death/doom masterpiece „Gothic“ nor with conquering the metal mainstream with the balls-out power of 1995’s „Draconian Times“, they have subsequently traversed multiple genre boundaries with skill and grace, evolving through the pitch-black alt-rock mastery of ‘90s classics „One Second“ and „Host“ to the muscular but ornate grandeur of 2009’s „Faith Divides Us – Death Unites Us“ and „Tragic Idol“ (2012), with the nonchalant finesse of grand masters. The band’s last two albums – „The Plague Within“ (2015) and „Medusa“ (2017) – saw a much celebrated return to brutal, old school thinking, via two crushing monoliths to slow-motion death and spiritual defeat. Consistently hailed as one of metal’s most charismatic live bands, PARADISE LOST arrive in this new decade as veterans, legends and revered figureheads for several generations of gloomy metalheads. In keeping with their unerring refusal to deliver the expected, 2020 brings one of the band’s most diverse and devastating creations to date.

PAIN RELEASE VIDEO FOR "PARTY IN MY HEAD"

PRESS RELEASE:

PAIN, the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Peter Tägtgren, has revealed the band’s first original song in 5 years: “Party In My Head”!

Blending ‘80s synth, electro, and metal, PAIN delivers one hell of an anthem providing a powerful sonic vaccine against the distress and depression caused by the worldwide pandemic.

Peter Tägtgren comments, "I decided to write a song about all the bullshit from the last year of lock-up and people’s struggle, including my own, to adapt to the new way of life. Suddenly, all of us had to deal with our inner selves in our secluded new life, so this is the cheer-up song for people. Each of us has our own party in our head. Musically, it’s a hell of a party song. I can’t wait to play it live."

The video features a guest appearance by Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW, YNGWIE J. MALMSTEEN, DEEP PURPLE) and the return of the Alien from PAIN’s biggest hit, “Shut Your Mouth”. Join the party now and watch the music video for “Party In My Head”, here: https://nblast.de/Pain-PIMH-YT

Don’t miss the after-party with Peter and the band at 11:00 am Pacific | 8:00 pm CEST on Instagram Live: https://www.instagram.com/peter.tagtgren

For the recordings of “Gimme Shelter” and “Party In My Head”, Peter has been joined by his son Sebastian Tägtgren playing the drums.
