Emerald Rage is a four-piece power/speed metal band from Akron, Ohio, USA, formed in 2017 by lead vocalist Jacob Wherley, guitarist Patrick Kern, and drummer Tyson McCauley. 

Inspired by bands such as Blind Guardian, Running Wild, and Metallica, Emerald Rage delivers a melodic, crushing, metal sound with a melodic and folkier approach, capturing the bard-like storytelling style of the band’s lyrics.

Joining forces with current bassist/vocalist Erik Curry in 2019, the band established itself in the Midwestern US metal scene as a force to be reckon with, debuting its first album “High King” in 2021 on Stormspell records and earning itself a place on “Legions of Metal Fest” in Chicago alongside NWOTHM legends Raven.

Sophomore effort “Valkyrie” followed in 2023, bringing the band to its highly anticipated third album “The Eyes of the Dragon” available May 29th 2026, shortly before the group makes its European debut in July at “Headbangers Open Air” in Germany.

The Unknown (CT, USA) forge their sound from the same iron that shaped the golden era of heavy metal. Crushing riffs smoothed out with soaring melodies and emotive vocals — that's the mission, and the band executes it without apology or irony. Formed by guitarist and primary songwriter Aamir, The Unknown channel the spirit of the genre's most enduring architects while carving out a sound that is entirely their own.

The band released their debut record,Vanishing Point on GoldenCore Records, the German label responsible for some of the most respected reissues and new releases in the traditional metal underground. That relationship was built on the strength of the music alone, and it set the tone for everything that followed.

Now The Unknown return with Graveyard of Empires, their most ambitious and cohesive work to date. Conceptually driven, sonically relentless, and grounded in real human experience, the album marks a significant leap forward. Anchored by vocalist and songwriter Matt Fisher, guitarists Aamir and Michael Dale, and bassist Andic Salcedo, this is a band hitting their stride.
