Enforsaken is a really aggressive band whose music transits the path of death metal. I would call this a more sophisticated kind of death metal because of the variety of arrangements that the band makes in the tracks, for example doing some arpegios with distorted guitars like in "Of Open Wounds..." or interesting soloing (check the solos on the same track). The vocals reminded sometimes of Carcass (but they use a lot of different types of vocals) and I would define the music as Carcass meets Kreator meets Celtic Frost meets Morbid Angel. They have achieved a good sound on this release, specially on guitars and drums. I think the song that I would choose as the best is "The Acting Parts" because of the great arrangements and the catchy chorus (with a really deep vocals) and because of the mixture of straight forward metal with blast beats. A promisory recording. Favorite tracks: "The Acting parts", "Dead Light, dead night" (with slow beginning, really technical) and "Into the Everblack".
