Kurgan´s Bane is a band whose style can be defined as progressive metal. It is progressive because of the complex song structures, the many different moods, melodies and atmospheres and the multiple changes. It is metal because of the distorted guitars and the power that each track here has. Here we have members of great bands like Sonus Umbra and we have Pete Laramee, a great guitarist who delivers great riffs and makes tasty solos on the tracks. Each of the songs on this CD has a distinctive personality and many interesting arrangements. A special note must be done on Lisa Francis vocals that are really powerful and give a lot of beauty to the songs constructing melodic lines that fit the musiand at the same time play with different feelings. Lovers of progressive music, here you have Kurgan´s Bane !
