Sunny southern California would seem like an unlikely place for utterly bleak and hopeless death metal to emanate from. But it makes more sense when you consider DRAGHKAR's roots in the black metal scenes of sun-soaked Italy and Greece, or for that matter the Floridian origins of the earliest death metal, which clearly this band has also absorbed.

With these influences, as well as a healthy infusion of the old Finnish gods, DRAGHKAR is proud to unleash their debut full-length, At the Crossroads of Infinity. Through six tracks and around a 35-minute runtime, the band hews closely to their purpose: pummeling riffs and pounding rhythms that sear themselves into the brain, and monstrous vocals that send a shiver down the spine. The band acquits itself with confidence here, their best and most polished material following the obligatory run of demos, splits, and EPs. Clearly their time in the trenches, as well as sharing members with other bands like Drawn and Quartered, has made them formidable.

Track Listing:

1. The First Death
2. Beyond Despair, The Dawn of Rebirth
3. An Erosion of the Eternal Soul
4. Seeking Oblivion
5. Pursued by Black Forms
6. At The Crossroads of Infinity
Line-up: Daniel Butler - Vocals; Brandon Corsair - Guitars; K.S. Kuciemba - Guitars; Cameron Fisher - Bass; Phil Segitho - Drums

YOUR LAST WISH PREMIERES “EXILE” DRUMS PLAYTHROUGH

PRESS RELEASE:
Montreal's melodic death metal band YOUR LAST WISH jave released a new album "Eradicate" last February and now they have released a video of the drums playthrough for their track "Exile" (check below).

Eight years after their sophomore album 2012’s “Desolation”, Montreal, QC melodic death metallers YOUR LAST WISH is back in full force with a new darker and heavier sound with their third studio release 2020’s “Eradicate”. The concept album beautifully exploits post apocalyptic themes. The album was composed and recorded entirely by guitarist David Gagné, while all lyrics were written by vocalist Roxana Bouchard. More than half the songs on this bilingual album are in French. Track ‘Pandore’ features a guest appearance by Beyond Creation’s Simon Girard.

Track by track explanation:
– Eradicate: Thrashy melodic death metal madness. It’s the most straightforward song of the album. It was made to be a single.
– Exile: Oldschool thrash influences, also introduces odd-time signatures.
– Monarque: One of our four songs in French, long instrumental passages and probably the most progressive song of the album.
– Décimé: It has a strong middle-eastern / tribal vibe and oldschool death metal riffs.
– Lost: Groovy, mid-tempo and orientally ambient soundscape to bang your head to.
– Pursuit: A clash of modern and oldschool death metal, all in one package!
– Pandore: Tribal prog duet with Simon Girard from Beyond Creation. Musically unleashes the apocalypse.
– Prestige: Originally written by Jean-François Gagné, very reminiscent of the previous album “Desolation” (2012).
– Le cri du monde: Thrashy beginning leading into an epic, cinematic conclusion to the whole album.

VOKODLOK RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "IN THE MIND"

PRESS RELEASE
Romania's Black Metal band VOKODLOK release official lyric video for "In The Mind"

Check out In The Mind here - https://youtu.be/25fJ9O0fag8

Band comments:
"We are born without any given path, faith, beliefs. All that is infused in us as we grow and by the time we are conscious we already have a great storm of deception in our minds."

Hearing the call of damnation, four rebellious spirits, GhiauR, Strigoi, Blestemat and Claudiu, influenced by unholy music, joined the dark forces to be a part of the underground and formed the band VOKODLOK in the beginning of year 2000. Soon after Freak took over the drums and the band released the demo "Unchain the Wolf", which contains five tracks of aggressive Black Metal, inspired from the dark side of humanity and representing a hybrid between apocalyptic thoughts and soul tortures. The demo was released as MCD-gold by "Beauty of Pain" Productions (Romania) and as a split tape, along with "Bloody Harvest" (Germany) by "Axa Valaha" Prod. (Romania) and "Eclipse of Life Promulgation" Prod. (Germany).

In 2003 the band released the album "Mass Murder Genesis" containing 10 tracks that spreads ideas of crime through the ways of Black Metal, standing in the line of anti-christianity, combining malefic lyrics and the disgust towards the forced religions and the christian puritan values with devilish blast rhythms and raw sounds. "Mass Murder Genesis" was promoted internationally and was followed by intense years of live appearances in Eastern European countries, along bands like Vader, Hecate Enthroned, Mystic Circle, Cirith Gorgor and as a support band for Catamenia's East European mini-tour in 2005.

A few lineup changes followed In 2007 with Shaitaan on vocals and Urmuz on bass and after several concerts the band was put on hold in 2008.

Many years later the EP "Oracle's fury" was released on the 13th of May. Inspired by the ancient Greek philosophy and the human feelings, the lyrical story takes the listener through the primordial aspects of fear and faith.

The next full-length album is ready to be recorded and is planned to be released in 2021.
