German black metal punks RANĂ will be releasing their new album, "Richtfeuer", on June 16th 2023 via Breath Sun Bone Blood, making it the band's debut to the label.

Today, No Clean Singing is premiering the album's first single, "Läutern", at THIS LOCATION.

With "Richtfeuer“ RANĂ returns at full force in collaboration with Breath Sun Bone Blood with their second full length album. The album’s title "Richtfeuer" translates to “Leading Fire” or “Beacon”, and that is exactly what this album does…. Leads us into the burning down of this world with the hope of building a better one.

Four tracks of raging black metal punctuated with elements of d-beat driven neo-crust, chanted atmospheres, and mournfully oppressive doom, laced with melancholic guitar themes and vocal desperation.

Starting with the devastating and crushing power of the 11 minute opener "Läutern", RANĂ sets the course for the coming 40 minute despair riddled assault. "Flamura", the second track sets the tone with a more d-beat blackened crust tone which quickly deteriorates into furious blast beats… Desperation and urgency creating a feeling of relentless anxiety. The third track "Richtfeuer" opens with chanted vocals and mournful picked guitars that devolve into slabs of doom thrown at the listener, with heartbreaking melodic lines supported and then obliterated by black buzz. "Our Smouldering Grief / Im Brand", the album's final chapter (the first half also appeared on 2022’s "Black Metal Rainbows" Compilation) features melancholic guitar lines weaving in and out of hope and despair. Between life and death. The second half of the closing aural assault, “Im Brand", leaves the listener in a pile of ash and rubble, tripping over the remnants of the world and frameworks this album wishes to destroy. And deeply ingrained in the gut-wrenching grief of this album is a hopeless call to arms. A futile attempt to strive and rebel to find a crack in the circle…. And to find solace in potentially failing in the process, only to rise again, burning.

Beautiful. Utterly brutal.

HUSQWARNAH are also pleased to officially welcome Alessio Capatti (Mexican Chili Funeral Party, Gordo, Treccani) on rhythm guitar. The band will enter the Toxic Basement Studio with producer Carlo Altobelli (Cripple Bastards, Vision Deprived, Insanity Alert) to begin recording their second full-length album before the end of the year.

Heavily inspired by 90’s death metal, HUSQWARNAH is a relentless assault of old school death metal in the vein of Asphyx, Bolt Thrower and Benediction. Formed in the outskirts of Milan, northern Italy, this vicious five-piece style is straight to the point and unapologetic, soaked in warlike aesthetic, while maintaining the emphasis on catchy songwriting and song-oriented composition.

WOODEN VEINS RELEASE "IMPLODING WAVES"

Chilean melodic doom metallers WOODEN VEINS will be releasing their new album, "Imploding Waves", on June 23rd 2023 via Ardua Music.

WOODEN VEINS, formed by Chilean musicians mostly based in European countries, engages in classic melodic doom metal, combining it with progressive and gothic elements, exploring even further as they bring more heaviness and even some latin flavour into their sound.

“In Finitude”, their debut album (The Vinyl Division), released in 2021, got an excellent response from the media, ranking the album in many lists as one of the best of 2021, in specialised press and was even nominated for the best Metal Album in the Premios Pulsar Chile, the biggest Music Award for Chilean Music.

Now WOODEN VEINS present us their second album “Imploding Waves”, a more complex and refined work. This time the Chileans took a more progressive approach, expanding their stylistic boundaries, mixing darker, heavier and faster passages into their distinctive melodic and atmospheric elements.

“It’s about dreams, death and change, the mixture of these elements and their manifestation in ourselves and the world around us.”

“Imploding Waves” was recorded in Chile, Czech Republic, Spain and Germany, between July and October 2022.

The album was mixed by Juan Escobar at Vultura Studio in Plzen, CZ and mastered by Sebastian Puente at Audiocustom, CL.

The artwork is once again by French artist Valnoir from Metastazis.

MUTUAL HOSTILITY is a death metal band formed in January of 2020 in Northeast Ohio, USA. Merging many metal genres into the fold, Adam Rogers (vocals), Dan Gates (guitars & bass) and Eric Frabotta (drums) offer a blend of hostility and intensity.

Most of 2020 was spent writing and recording at each others home during the pandemic shutdown. Soon after the band released a lyric video for the song “Pyramid of Hate” which gained some momentum and eventually led up to the EP titled "Sacred Propaganda" being released in November 2020 on the Cult of Parthenope record label.

In 2022 nine new tracks were written and recorded for the first full-length album.

Decibel Magazine is hosting the worldwide premiere of the new single by French death metallers LIQUID FLESH, "Tribunal Fantomatique". Stream it HERE.

LIQUID FLESH, who feature members of Epitaphe and Nightmare in their ranks, will be releasing the new album "Dolores" on May 26th 2023 via Time To Kill Records.

The band comment:

"After our second album “Chair Liquide” released in 2020, we wanted to proceed a little bit differently for the next one.

Given the cinematic influences that have always guided our songwriting, we wanted to get closer to the process of creating a film. We made a draft for the cover, this draft inspired us a 'screenplay' in ten chapters, then we wrote the lyrics for ten 'scenes'. The music came at the very end.

The album tells a woman’s journey from an aimless way of life to a surreal ending after a bad encounter. It is all about the dullness of daily routine, addiction and manipulation, told in a hallucinated way.

Musically, the foundations remain the same, death metal from the late 80's, early 90's, but with more atmospheric material than on our previous works. Nonetheless, Liquid Flesh is before all a live band, so we wanted to keep that energy intact.

While listening, you will be dragged from rock ‘n’ roll grooves to crushing death metal riffs, through psychedelic and doom oriented sections. Versatile and straightforward are great adjectives to describe this album".

LIQUID FLESH is a death metal trio from the french Alps. Influenced by bands such as Entombed, Carcass, Undergang and Autopsy, the band plays catchy songs with evocative atmospheres, drawing inspiration from sci-fi and horror movies.

The band was founded in 2014 by four active members of the Grenoble metal scene. After some gigs between France and Italy, the band quickly recorded its debut album “Spontaneous Liquefaction”, which contains seven death metal compositions with synth parts and many references to horror movies.

In 2018, Putrid Bruce, also vocalist of Epitaphe, joined the band as vocalist and bass player. Now a trio, LIQUID FLESH started playing a more radical and sophisticated music, characterized by a relentless punk energy.

The band released the album “Chair Liquide” in September 2020, which received good feedback from the press.

In summer 2021, Glaviar left the band and was replaced by Cephalic Niels from the power/heavy metal band Nightmare.

LIQUID FLESH finally recorded a third album in 2022. Designed as a concept album, it takes the listener into a musical journey that is both straightforward and psychedelic. A dive into a universe melting the dirt of "Street Trash" and the ethereal atmosphere of "The Neon Demon".
