Sunwrecker is a black synth/drone project from Wisconsin. Unlike most bands/projects in the drone and black metal subgenres, this project is primarily MIDI and electronic sounds emulating drone-ish guitars. With a minimal-like approach yet experimental influenced by groups like Sunn O))), Mayhem, Coldworld and Leviathan, Sunwrecker is a musical story trying to put you in a new space of mind.

Main composer Alex says:

"This is a Demo of a project that was known as "Earth Abuse".

My aim was to make a project that incoorperated Atmospheric Black Metal with heavy Deathcore-breakdowns.

All of this came to be in 2019 before the pandemic when I discovered Lorna Shore.

I tried to test my skills and write a more progressive over 10 min piece with Atlantis.

The lyrics that I wrote for this album thematically dealt with global warming and to this day I'm still in worry about our planet.

When you look at the titles of the demos you can see where everything is connected.

Atlantis is in reference to rising sealevels, earth into soil about how we make earth uninhabitable.

I never maneged to make a fully functioning band.

Vocals are missing entierly.

To be honest... my skill wasn't quiet enough for such an ambitious project."
