The Belarusian metal band NEMDIS released its debut album “Against the Current” at a top Belarusian label in 2011. The album has attained rave reviews from specialized publications as well as the audience. Early in 2014 NEMDIS entered into cooperation with Swedish DugoutStudio . Their joint efforts resulted in release of single "Whisper, Scream and Silence". The first single of oncoming second album was put on the official group page on Facebook and YouTube in June, 2014. In Belarus, "Whisper, Scream and Silence" appeared a month earlier and headed the hit parade, launched by Ultra-Music, one of the largest online music sites of the country, in May. NEMDIS gigged in tandem with the bands such as SONIC SYNDICATE, DEAD BY APRIL, THE UNGUIDED, CATAMENIA, BATTLEFOR, AMATORY . In the spring of 2014 Nemdis went on Russian mini-tour with CHILDREN OF BODOM , Finnish melodic death metal legend. It was the first suchlike event for the history of Belarusian metal. Some Belarusian media described this conjoint tour of NEMDIS and CHILDREN OF BODOM as a "news from the realms of fancy". Since 2019 the band is considered like Belarusian-Swedish.

CHUPACABRA is the new project from three battle-scarred members of Bristol's flourishing metal scene. Nige Savage (all instruments except lead guitar) and Heather Taylor (vocals) are former members of well-known local band Wytch; Heather was also the lead singer for acclaimed Bristol band Cybervoid. Alex Brent, formerly of Captive, rounds out the recording line-up on lead guitar.

Metal Injection is hosting the exclusive video premiere of “The Culmination Of Years Of Self-Abuse,” the latest single from harsh drone/post-industrial act DIMINISHING. The band is preparing to release its debut album, The Unnamable, later this month on Anti-Corporate Music.
Formed in 2019 by New York-based David Brenner (Gridfailure) and Texas-based Lane Oliver (Yatsu), DIMINISHING is a tense, emotionally devastating project that paints in shades of industrial, dark ambient, drone metal, noise, and more. On The Unnamable, semi-improvisational, destructive guitar work collides with haunting atmospherics, mechanical rhythms, and walls of cacophony to create a soul-crushing sound that resides somewhere between Godflesh, Nurse With Wound, Merzbow, Khanate, and Nine Inch Nails’ The Downward Spiral, while thematically exploring existential crises, anxiety in the face of the unknown, and personal failings.
The Unnamable was performed, recorded, and mixed by David Brenner and Lane Oliver, the dense tracks constructed with a wide range of vocals, guitars/bass, keys/synth, percussion, field recordings, and more. Mastering for the album was handled by Dan Emery at Black Matter Mastering (Kool Keith, Steve Von Till, Thetan), and the record is completed with photography, design, and videos created by Brenner.
Oliver reflects on the new single, “This song is about wasting years of your life tearing yourself down. It’s about trying to make up for that lost time by doing something worthwhile and meaningful, but ultimately succumbing to the delusion that time has run out for you. It’s about that vicious cycle of self-abuse that’s hard to break.”

With driving rhythms, soaring harmonies and intricates riffs for days, SOLAR FLARE deliver a thrilling album infused with elements of NWOBHM and melodic metal. Opening with "Medieval", this ferocious track is an indictment on a society that was brutal in a different way. With a dark and eerie undertone running throughout, "Under The Sun" is about a soldier having to deal with the horrors of war. "Born To Burn" ventures musically in a different direction; the track is an anthem, a real "Highway to Hell" theme. "Pharaoh" also sees the band explore other musical avenues with intriguing harmonies and progressions. Lyrically, the song tells the story of a pharaoh who betrays the behest of his gods for greed and power, leading to the corruption of his mind. "Nous Sommes" returns from the realms of gods and focuses on the real event, written about the shooting in France at a concert. The album's penultimate offering, "Taken To The Other Side" explores the fear of dying without having done anything worth remembering, while the concluding "A World In My Head" contemplates the enigmatic inner machinations of the human mind.

Short Bio: Founded in 2010, Ceremony of Darkness released their debut album "13" which was well received by fans and critics alike. Winning Best Metal/Hardcore Album of the 2010 Independent Music Awards, "13" additionally featured the song "The Surgeon of New Orleans" which was nominated for Best Metal Song in the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Ceremony of Darkness also released "As the Headstones Fade" only to IMA jukeboxes, featuring selected tracks from "13". In 2013, Ceremony of Darkness released "Flesh of the Witch," a conceptual album about a damaged man and his love affair with a woman accused of witchcraft. The title track from that album was nominated for Best Metal Song in the HMMA's, and can be heard in the Netflix movie "The Incredible Jessica James", the NBC TV Show "Blindspot", and the STARZ series "American Gods". The third album, "Godheim" was released in 2018. Ceremony of Darkness is currently in the studio working on their upcoming release "The Lesser Key" which is scheduled to drop on March 31, 2023.

‘SUN GOD‘, the debut release from prog death metallers PARACRONA, is an abrasive and dark album but one with a fresh perspective on death metal. The dark and blackened music is straightforward in its desire to fry the senses but unpredictable in the approach it takes; each song offers something different, adding up to a twisted but worthwhile journey. The album has been brought to life mixing and mastering by the legendary Fredrik Nordstrom, who produced albums from the original Gothenburg death metal scene, among many, many others!
PARACRONA was formed by Ringo Christiaan Van Droffelaar and Oystein Hansen, from the Netherlands and Norway, respectively. After meeting at the 2007 edition of Wacken Open Air, the two formed a musical bond and began recording ‘SUN GOD’ IN 2016. After many delays, including the pandemic and Ringo’s battle with cancer, lead to the album being released this year.
‘Sun God,’ explores themes of ancient, old belief systems with the idea that the ‘Sun God,’ is within you. Fighting against the powers of greed, ego, pseudo science and misinformation, the album is about breaking free from these dark, even Satanic, forces and finding the strength within oneself.

Seagrave is a voyage through darkening realms, carrying a sombre mood across the album. Opening with "The Glimmering Landscape", this track is about leaving a hopeless place, but will the new place be any better? "Starward Longing" explores how things in life don’t work out as one had hoped while "Fates Mysteries" focuses on the frustrations of trying to achieve something but bad luck keeps getting in the way. The following track "Thy Shadows Fall" shows how trying times can eventually wear a person down and "The Grave is Wide" uses imagery of an ocean storm that represents difficult and trying times in life. "The Dusk and the Song" sees a shift in the mood, with a contradictory notion of feeling a sense of peace surrounded by a dark desolate place. Nostalgia over an old memory is the meaning behind the penultimate "Pale Memories", before the concluding "Black Waters" ends on the dark news of a loved one being lost at sea.

“Contamination deals with the appearance of a new plague, a manifestation of one of the horsemen of the apocalypse. A rapidly spreading, horribly lethal disease causes dilemmas and ruthless restrictions. Mass death occurs and societies collapse, deprived from their commodities. The title for this song was already floating around for previous albums, but never made it, so it was not directly inspired by the Corona pandemic. It is fair to assume more and perhaps more gruesome plagues will come and cause havoc on mankind. Remember the mass death during the ages of the black plague.”
Founded in 1990 as Occult, the thrash machine around founding members Maurice Swinkels and Erik Fleuren was reborn as LEGION OF THE DAMNED in 2005. Conquering the European charts for decades, the LEGION crowned itself at #17 in the Official German Album Charts with predecessor Slaves Of The Shadow Realms (2019). For almost 35 years, they have formed their aggressive signature sound from the most horrific ingredients of thrash and death metal, combined with brutal blackened influences, resulting in one of the most defined and unique sounds in the scene. The Poison Chalice comes to life by spreading its eerily beautiful wings within the first few seconds, then dives headfirst into a hellishly furious storm. In classic LEGION OF THE DAMNED manner, there is no escape as the track relentlessly drives into the abyss.
The album spreads brutal and ice-cold thrash soundscapes through relentless, attacking drums and incredible guitar harmonies from both lead guitarists, underlined by angry bass lines. Infectious thrash treasures such as “Progressive Destructor”, and the almost seven-minute berserk “Behold The Beyond” break necks with hammering guitar riffs and bloody double bass infernos. “Beheading of The Godhead” delivers what the song title promises, before the past 48 minutes of hate closes with a final deep gulp from “The Poison Chalice” - leaving no one behind.
Together with producer Erwin Hermsen, the band closed the gates of the underworld in Toneshed Studio and demonstrate that they remain the unchallenged masters of brute and unrelenting death-thrash metal in 2023!
Karpathian Relict from Poland & Ukraine is revealing the details of it’s third studio work ! Album title is Never Be After and includes eight tracks of high level and complex technical death metal.
