Australian heavy thrash metal band EVOCATUS will release their new album "Path to Tartarus" on October 30th. The new album is EVOCATUS` second full length release and the successor to their debut album "Mortem in Deos" from 2017. "Path to Tartarus" will be released independently and will feature ten tracks. As the band states:
"Path to Tartarus is a melodic death metal collection of stories about ancient gods, bloody battles and a look into the mind of battle-hardened warriors. An epic crescendo to the final destination of Tartarus.
The album consists of hectic riffs, blistering solos, and crushing vocals whilst allowing for melodic harmonies, symphonic layers, and interludes creating an immersive and rich atmosphere. A ten-song, sixty-three-minute journey that will leave you wanting more!
Having shared the stage with the likes of Kalmah, Psycroptic, and Cattle Decapitation (among others) Evocatus are yet another example of the explosion of quality melodic death metal roaring out from down under.
In Greek mythology, Tartarus is the deep abyss that is used as a dungeon of torment and suffering for the wicked and as the prison for the Titans.
You can be sure that this album is the soundtrack to that place".
