The Japanese CD version will feature two exclusive bonus tracks "Prof (Demo)" and "Rain (Trivium Cover)" (track listing below) and is available for pre-order HERE. The band comments on "Photo 51":
"We are very happy to release the final single for our album "Question Everything", which comes out one week from today! This song is called "Photo 51" and based on...Photo 51! The first photograph of DNA. This song is a favorite among the band from the new album and those who have heard it seem to claim it as a favorite as well! It might just become a new staple in our live sets! We hope you enjoy Photo 51! And thank you to Scott Kennedy from 12 Inch Media for creating it."
It's been about two years since the band's sophomore release "Terror of the Cybernetic Space Monster" and Sacramento sci-fi power metallers Helion Prime returns with their third effort and the much shorter title "Question Everything" set for release on Monday, October 5th, 2020 via their label Saibot Reigns. This is Helion Prime's first album with new vocalist Mary Zimmer, who has also accompanied the band on two separate tours of the United States. It also sees the band's original singer, Heather Michele, returning in a writing capacity and contributing all lyrics and melodies. Heather Michele also along with other former Helion Prime vocalist Sozos Michael and with John Yelland (Judicator/Dire Peril) add their guest vocals on the full length.
The highly anticipated third record is a concept album, with each song revolving around different figures throughout human history that had the courage to question the status quo of their respective worlds/societies, in some cases even dealing with harsh persecution as a result. Those Helion Prime chose to write about-faced prejudice, mockery, ex-communication, and persecution - yet through it all, they held true to their beliefs and ideas. Time would be their greatest ally as their ideas and identities were eventually validated, oftentimes not until after their passing. They serve as an inspiration for all minds to continue thinking outside the box and staying true to themselves.
Jason speaks on the album itself:
"This album has truly been amazing to work on. The idea behind it is something I've been holding on to since around the time I started the band. Aside from writing some of what I consider to be Prime's best work it was a great experience getting to work with Heather again on an album as she once again contributed her talents for the lyrics."
"Question Everything" was produced by Jason Ashcraft and Alex Nasla. Mixing was done by Chris Collier and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima along with additional mixing/drum edits/reamping plus writing and performance of keyboard arrangements by Alex Nasla of Gear Gods Studio. Guitar/Bass edits by Michael Goodrich and cover art by Marc Whisnant.
Track Listing:
1. The Final Theory
2. Madame Mercury
3. Prof
4. The Gadfly
5. Photo 51
6. E Pur Si Muove
7. Words of The Abbot ft. guest vocals John Yelland (Judicator, Dire Peril)
8. The Forbidden Zone
9. Question Everything ft. Heather Michele (ex-Graveshadow, ex-Helion Prime) and Sozos Michael (ex-Helion Prime, Planeswalker)
French project born from old timers of the underground. Kosmosophia introduces raw cosmic black metal strongly influenced by the old Polish black metal scenes and acts such as VELES, INFERNUM and early GRAVELAND while displaying a strong identity with eerie, cosmic keyboard passages among other things. Sounds like it was recorded in some damp basement in the early 90’s. Vilwolfheim of SOMBRE CHEMIN handles the drums and keyboards on the recording. The demo includes a LEGION OF DOOM covertrack.

Citizen Rage arrives with a new release, plainly titled Black EP. Following the success of the Pink EP in 2018, the Calgary group quickly returned to the studio and laid down four blisteringly angry tracks of their trademark hardcore/thrash hybrid. Now, in partnership with Wasted Wax Records, those tracks got released under Black EP on September 25th.
Formed in 2014, Citizen Rage is a five-piece hardcore punk outfit from Calgary, Alberta. The Canadian quintet makes their own brand of hardcore punk to tear apart controversial topics in pursuit of social change.
On the strength of several western Canadian tours, a slew of self-released EPs, the band secured slots on festivals like Armstrong Metal Fest, Loud as Hell, East-Town Get Down, Lethbridge Deathfest, and a headline spot at the inaugural Decimate Metal Fest. In addition, they shared stages with the likes of DRI, Cro-Mags, Trapped Under Ice, Madball, Comeback Kid, Cancer Bats, Revocation, Dayglo Abortions, Ignite, and many more.
The forthcoming Black EP features back-up vocals from members of Bogue Brigade, The Devils Sons, and Real Sickies. Since a tour is not an option in this COVID period, the Calgary punks will release a few music videos to accompany the EP, as well as some live-streamed sets, and other assorted surprises.
The band states, “We hope to carry on spreading our message of positive social change through more tours, more recordings, and more high-fives, hugs, and hardcore punk.”
Lineup:
Mikey Bastard – bass
Jdogg – drums
Mark Russell – vocals
Ross Furgeson AKA The Ferg – guitars
Guest Back-up Vocals: Rob Lawless (Real Sickies), Brad Graves (The Devil’s Sons), and Matt Jak (Bogue Brigade).
Recorded: Jamie Kovalsky at Prohibitor Studios.

Seasoned technical melodic death metal favorites Inferi are proud to announce their upcoming EP, Of Sunless Realms. The 5-song effort will be released on October 9th via The Artisan Era. It is the follow up to the group's 2019 re-worked prior album, The End of an Era | Rebirth, and the next step in the group's continual evolution following their beloved 2018 full-length, Revenant.
After blowing up worldwide upon the 2014 release of The Path of Apotheosis, Inferi has been on a relentless tear, not only dropping two releases since then but touring non-stop as well. During which time the group toured across the USA, Canada, and Europe with high-profile acts such as Obscura, Archspire, Beneath The Massacre, Paladin, Exist, Rivers of Nihil, Wormhole, Virvum, Warforged, and countless others.
Now in 2020, with touring having ground to a halt due to COVID-19, the band was able to focus on finishing their next offering of top-notch material which became Of Sunless Realms. Of Sunless Realms continues the band's well-established sound steeped in catchy melodies, orchestral grandeur, and high-octane aggression, delivered in a bombastic and elegant way all their own. The stunning cover artwork for Of Sunless Realms was handled once again by the well-known fantasy artist Helge C. Balzer.
Inferi band statement regarding Of Sunless Realms
"We have been hinting at a new full length for a while now. However, since 2020 has had its fair share of surprises already, we thought we would do something unexpected and make something happen during this global downtime. We bring you a new 5 track EP, “Of Sunless Realms.” We still have a full-length album in the works and will continue to put all efforts into making it the best release we can."

Hard-to-pigeonhole black metal-centered outfit Lord Almighty is proud to announce their upcoming second album, Wither. Set for release on Friday, October 16th. It is the follow up to the group's 2015 debut album, Paths. The Boston-based group has been active since 2013 and continues to craft a unique crushing mix of black metal blasts and rock and roll melodics that is stylistically ever-evolving into the present. Cover art for Lord Almighty - Wither was handled by Adam O' Day.
All great works of art need time to gestate and emerge fully formed, an ethos the mercurial musicians in Lord Almighty are guided by and which helped shape Wither into the impressive work of art that it is over several years of development.
Although the band's base inclination is rooted in black metal past and present, their love for NWOBHM, sludge, hardcore, blues rock, and more elevates Wither far beyond being merely another black metal release with nothing new to offer. If you could fathom Darkthrone, Kvelertak, and Trash Talk joining forces with Mastodon, ZZ Top, and Thin Lizzy, you'd arrive at the expansive and fluid approach to cross-genre pollination Lord Almighty is incredibly adept at. On Wither, Lord Almighty has transcended genre norms and created an epic world all their own that will surely be loved by many metalheads.
Lord Almighty statement regarding Wither
"Wither is an album that really was written over a few years. There were plenty of experiences along the way that continued our descent into madness.
It was a hazy time looking through smoke and double vision. Conceptually we had a lot of different emotions and life experiences that culminated to what you hear.
If you listen hard enough, you might even hear the crackle of the fire in our building where we lived or the cops pounding on the doors. Or maybe even the dreams in which we envisioned when we found ourselves without homes."

In October 2020 WITCHE'S BREW gonna unleash the 4th album "Chronicles Of Electric Sorcery" via Universal Music Italia.

Promising Italian WITCHE'S BREW got together by their own Rock'n'Roll destiny in 2007.
The band's name WITCHE'S BREW is taken from the name of guitarist Mirko Witche Bosco. In 2008 the hungry bunch of HARD ROCKERS recorded a live EP, "Pentatonicspeedfreaks" during an Austrian tour.
Two years later WITCHE'S BREW recorded their first full length release "White Trash Sideshow", published through Black Widow Records. The year 2011 the formation participated in the compilation "Return To The Sabbath", a tribute to Black Sabbath.

All of these longplayers received great reviews and interviews from both national and international music media, such as Rock Hard, Metal Hammer, Metal Maniac, Classix, Sludge, Rumore etc. WITCHE'S BREW have done many tours throughout Italy and Europe.
After a few usual changes in the band they finally found finally the perfect line-up to record their fourth and best album to date: "Chronicles Of Electric Sorcery", out in October on Universal Music Group Italy.

Southern California death thrashers MADROST are proud to announce the release of Charring The Rotting Earth on No Life Til Metal Records. Streaming and purchase links are below.
Pushing beyond the boundaries of the band's 2017 release The Essence of Time Matches No Flesh, Charring the Rotting Earth is an ambitious step in a more progressive direction. Guitarist / vocalist Tanner Poppitt comments, "'Charring the Rotting Earth' is the next dimension of our continued growth. Musically expanding on the foundation that we have developed within the last few years and incorporating new dynamics and elements, we continue to push ourselves and offer the listener a new experience with each MADROST album."
Track Listing:
1- The Serpent’s Quest
2- To Prevail the Wicked
3- Dying Thoughts
4- Impossible Dreams
5- A Violent End to Life
6- Pulverized
7- Charring the Rotting Earth
Charring the Rotting Earth was produced and recorded by MADROST, mixed and mastered by Hannes Grossman and features artwork by Tony Koehl. Keyboards on Charring the Rotting Earth by Sam Meador (Xanthochroid).
Founded in the summer of 2007, MADROST is a Southern California based progressive death thrash act with a focus on precision songwriting and energetic diverse approach to their sound. Influenced by the likes of Metal Church, Death, ELP, Believer, Exhumed and Iron Maiden, the band has transformed from the simplistic death thrash style to incorporating a wide range of other instruments and time signatures into their version of extreme metal.
With the release of 2012’s Maleficent album, the world had gained a small taste of what was to come for the bands overall sound and career. A standard death thrash style album, but was only further developed with 2014’s sophomore release Into the Aquatic Sector. The same year, the band had been on a few tours and was starting to gain more support within the metal scene world wide. It wasn’t until 2017’s The Essence of Time Matches No Flesh that the band really saw a huge jump in popularity. Incorporating more of a progressive element into their sound and getting reviewed by such magazines as Decibel, the band had really come together and found their sound.
2020’s Charring the Rotting Earth saw MADROST not only working with No Life Til Metal Records for the first time, but the band was not afraid to incorporate more symphonic elements into their sound. With the help of keyboardist Sam Meador (Xanthochroid) making a huge presence on the album, the band is on the pathway to a new sound that is sure to be remembered and taken to the next level.
ME SACO UN OJO RECORDS and DARK DESCENT RECORDS are proud to announce the October 2 release of GOREPHILIA’s highly anticipated third album, In the Eye of Nothing, on vinyl, digital and CD formats.
Although initially going under the moniker Goretexx, since the latter part of 2007, Finland’s GOREPHILIA have been crafting a classically minded canon of death metal might. Two demos under this more-fitting moniker followed in 2008 and 2011, but it was 2011’s Ascend to Chaos mini-album where the GOREPHILIA legend truly took flight. Surely, their country of origin signaled some of their aesthetic – names such as Demigod, Convulse, and Adramalech rang true – but even this early on, subtle twists of their own identity crept in. Those would fully blossom the next year with the debut album, Embodiment of Death. Aptly titled, this first full-length ranged beyond Finland to the rich history of ‘90s death metal on both side of the Atlantic, again with an even more pronounced identity: swampy yet clear-headed, exceptionally tight but never sterile, and above all, mind-mangling songwriting that somehow sticks in your head.
It would take another five years before GOREPHILIA would deliver their next album. When it at last arrived, in early 2017, it was very much worth the wait. Graced with literally electrifying cover art, Severed Monolith matched it musically, showing even-more-twisted prowess in the songwriting department, here largely handled by founding guitarist Jukka. This second album also saw the arrival of prolific drummer Kauko Kuusisalo and second guitarist Pauli Gurko. GOREPHILIA were truly a well-oiled machine at this point.
While no doubt still reeling from the tragic loss of founding vocalist Henu – GOREPHILIA soldiered on, undaunted, and now return with their long-awaited third album, In the Eye of Nothing. With Jukka now also handling vocals, the four-piece GOREPHILIA exhibit a newfound sense of slithering finesse, that swampiness of old expounded upon with startling effect. Right from the very beginning, with ominous opener “Walls of Weeping Eyes,” the band exhibit a throttling energy no matter the tempo; each moment, every mesmerizing ‘n’ martial riff, is parceled out with precision, in place exactly where it needs to be and thoroughly maximized to its fullest effect. Which is all to say that the songwriting across In the Eye of Nothing has hit a fever pitch of perfection, channeling the diabolical fervor of early Morbid Angel with the strident command they’d exhibit as the ‘90s progressed, but obviously with the cosmic horror GOREPHILIA have been characteristically exhibiting all these years. In fact, one could point to a telltale track like “Ouroboran Labyrinth” for both a visual and sonic embodiment of the dread landscapes the quartet so effortlessly construct. Or, peer deeply into haunting cover art courtesy of Raúl González…inescapable immersion awaits In the Eye of Nothing.

“We really wanted to write something that didn’t slow down much or stop. We wanted to write something that would test the fatigue level of our musicianship. It asks many questions of the listener but will demand that you pay attention and read the lyric sheet. It's a bold and aggressive track that offers our take on death metal in 2020.”

Producing material and touring bountifully, it resulted in accolades and awards and even features on video games. Over the years, they have grown and matured as musicians and people, each bringing different ideas to the table that they wanted to express.

Finland's COUNTING HOURS are just one month away to release their debut full-length "The Will", and today the dark metal five-piece is releasing a new single entitled "Black Sunrise". You can watch the video at this location: https://youtu.be/Mc9xLk-Uf_E
Vocalist Ilpo Paasela comments on the new single: «"Blank Sunrise" describes a mental state of a certain kind of outsiders. They are rejects but also proud finders of their own path. These outsiders see the concept of "dawn" or "new day" differently from most of us. In their minds, it lacks hope and solace, just the way they want it to be. On the contrary, it shows the only strength that is needed lives within.»
The upcoming album "The Will" delivers a sound that can be linked to game-changing acts such as Katatonia, Paradise Lost and October Tide, evoking the lost feeling of the 90s dark and gothic music scene.
"The Will" is due out on October 23rd, 2020 via The Vinyl Division. You can preorder the vinyl edition at this location: http://www.thevinyldivision.com/
