IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present SORGUINAZIA's highly anticipated debut album, Negation of Delirium, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

In 2016, out of the void inconspicuously tumbled a vortex of dread decibels. Bearing the moniker SORGUINAZIA, the power-duo's first recorded work was a limited-edition tape EP that soon bore successive editions across a number of formats. Of them, IRON BONEHEAD released Sorguinazia on CD later on in 2017 and then on 12" vinyl in early 2018. And for good reason: SORGUINAZIA are shamanistic butchers of pseudo-occult intellectualism, purveying pure cannibalistic black metal with preternatural fire. They may've hailed from Canada, but by all measures, their sound was otherworldly to the extreme, both primitively primordial and exceedingly nuanced. Sorguinazia was the sound of all colors being absorbed and spit back out, mangled and malign.

While a full-length work was promised not long after the release of that first EP, years of tension and unease followed, which perfectly suited SORGUINAZIA's sense of the unpredictable and unorthodox. At long last, their debut album arrives: Negation of Delirium. Almost too perfectly titled, SORGUINAZIA's first full-length work warps deliriums of all sorts - mental, physical, cosmic, even sexual - and negates them all the same. It's very much in line with what the duo of Xolaryxis and Axczor presented before, but arguably in more brittle form here. Indeed, this almost-deliberate desiccation takes their ghoulish 'n' ghastly black metal to uncomfortable realms of sensory experience, that previously wobbly balance between beyond-the-shade mysticism and soul-flaying insanity now upended, and we are but below to witness its unsettling fallout. Put another way, this soundpool of gibbering, horrendous "notes" that somehow coalesce into rude yet strangely alluring shapes is faintly recognizable as being performed by humans, but the sonic-unto-spiritual dislocation is so strong that it thusly transports the listener far beyond the realm of man. Is there a return?

Or, more pithily, imagine a pile of old tapes from the crude-yet-aristocratic Concilium collective left to rot in a sewer... Or, just simply, this is truly the Negation of Delirium. SORGUINAZIA offer no return.

IRON BONEHEAD PRODUCTIONS is proud to present CULT OF EIBON's long-awaited debut album, Black Flame Dominion, on CD and vinyl LP formats.

Formed in 2015, CULT OF EIBON are literally a band out of time, so richly and robustly authentic is their classic Greek black metal sound. The duo made their recorded debut in 2016 with the 7" EP Fullmoon Invocation, but it was next year's IRON BONEHEAD-released Lycan Twilight Sorcery which launched CULT OF EIBON onto the international underground map. With almost preternatural ease, these Greeks hailed Hellas through 32 minutes of mesmerizing mysticism and ancient METAL. Truly, one could imagine the record being released on Molon Lave circa 1993.

In the interim, CULT OF EIBON released a split 7" with fellow ancient-minded Greeks Caedes Cruenta, but the anticipation (and mystery) built for a full-length work. At long last does it arrive with Black Flame Dominion. Immediately, the listener is whisked to forgotten realms; the sorcery coursing through its atmospheres is potent, the heady, hazy potion pulsing with the same addicting, ageless black magick that made the early works of Rotting Christ and especially Varathron massively influential in Greece and far beyond. Indeed, THAT  PULSE is what pulls the listener in and refuses to let go, that locked-in and hypnotic surge idiomatic of Hellenic classicism, as well as liberal layers of swelling synth to fully transport that listener to an archaic age. But, much as they mightily proved on Lycan Twilight Sorcery, CULT OF EIBON's Black Flame Dominion is no mere work of replication: one must truly LIVE THIS to be able to create it, and a bewitching, almost-(were)wolven identity all their own emerges. Or, put another way, the band's debut album is an authentically ancient-minded modern entry into that classic canon - no hyperbole, no trends!

Startlingly familiar but also startlingly awe-inspiring, CULT OF EIBON add to their homeland's enduringly unique "folk language" with Black Flame Dominion. HAIL HELLAS ETERNALLY!

In 2019, MORTAL VISION released their first demo, Madness of Messiah, through Take This Torch Records (NL), which was re-released by us here at Redefining Darkness with a new mix and master in May 2021. It is a blistering frenetic whirlwind of fast and furious riffs, a chaotic battery of drumming, complimented by a vicious vocal attack! If you closed your eyes and listened you would swear it came out of Brasil in 1987.

In February of 2021, the band released a brand new single, Forced Extermination, accompanied by a music video that absolutely upped the ante on what they achieved on their demo just a couple years earlier. The combination of the two got our attention and we knew there was something truly special here...

To put it simply, MORTAL VISION are an absolute force! This is Schizophrenia-era Sepultura meets Persecution Mania-era Sodom at it's finest created by a very unlikely source. While there is an endless sea of Thrash revivalist worldwide, few bands possess the same hunger, fervor, and authenticity exhibited here. These 4 young Ukrainian's have delivered a case study in Thrash Metal with their full length debut, Mind Manipulation. MORTAL VISION have come to chop f*cking heads!

Under the guidance of legendary frontman Steve Sylvester, Italian horror metal masters DEATH SS return with "Ten", a new observation on death and darkness. With their tenth full-length album, due out on October 29th 2021 via Lucifer Rising Records, DEATH SS keep offering their own personal blend of horror metal: esoteric, occult music where spontaneity and attitude are the most important values.

The album's ten tracks orchestrate a sinister mass of sinful abandon full of creepy tales, gloomy stories with somewhat funny twists. It will make the listeners quiver and shiver, with a grin on the face.

"X", the number ten in the Roman numerical system, chosen to name this album, is not a random title.

The number Ten symbolizes perfection, as well as the cancellation of all things.

10 = (1 + 0) = 1, illustrates the eternal starting over.

Ten is the total of the first four numbers (and in our case the first four Albums / Seals) and therefore contains within itself the entirety of the universal and artistic principles contained in each of them.

It corresponds to the Pythagorean Tetraktys which, together with  Seven (the total number of musical / magical seals of our pact), is considered the most important number, as it is formed by the sum of the first four  (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10), thus expressing the totality, the fulfillment, the final realization…! The number 10 is divine because it is perfect, as it brings together in a new unity all the principles expressed in the numbers (or albums) from one to nine.

Esoterically the symbolism of the decade represents the perfection relative to the circular space-time, or the divine immanence.

Ten indicates the change that allows the initiate to evolve, grow and rise spiritually.

It is the symbol of the totality of the represented reality.

From a religious point of view it recalls the number of commandments that God entrusted to Moses on Mount Sinai.

It contains the Unity that made everything and zero, a symbol of matter and of the Chaos from which everything came out.

It therefore includes in its likeness the created and the non-created, the beginning and the end, the power and the strength, the life and the nothingness.

There are also ten circles, the Sefiroth of the Tree of Life.

In the Tarot the number Ten, which in the Major Arcana corresponds to the Wheel of Fortune (Arcane X) and to Judgment (Arcanum XX), represents the end of a cycle of experiences and heralds a new beginning.

Finally in Dante's Inferno, the tenth canto takes place in the sixth circle, in the city of Dite, where heretics are punished, that is, the rebels, the free spirits intolerant of Dogma, those who choose to take themselves out of the ordinary way, to  which this work is dedicated.

RIMFROST RELEASE NEW SINGLE "KILLER INSTINCT"

Swedish black metal act Rimfrost recently reunited after their split in 2019. The trio has worked hard during the brightest months of 2021 to rev up the engine and dismount the breaks, and is now ready to go full throttle with two new tracks that depict the story of a killer. “Killer Instinct,” the first of those singles (but the final one from the tale), got its premiere via MetalSucks. 

“Killer Instinct” will be available on all digital/streaming platforms on October 31st. A music video for the track will be revealed soon.

“When we started to write music for the comeback, we really didn’t know what we wanted to write about, but we quickly felt that we wanted and that we should continue on the horror path from ‘Expedition: Darkness’ since we all are huge horror fans, especially, we all share some extra love for 70´s-80´s slasher/zombie horror.

“After some discussions back and forth, we decided to create our own storyline that runs over 2 singles with our own made-up killer with inspiration from Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, and all those classic killers. The story starts with ‘The rise of Evil’ (to be released later) and ends with ‘Killer Instinct.’ It all ended up as ‘The rise of Evil: Killer Instinct,’ and we are very happy and proud of how it all turned out!”

RELICS FROM THE CRYPT, the sub-label of DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS dedicated to keeping the past alive, is proud to present a vinyl LP reissue of the cult second album of Japan’s SACRIFICE, Total Steel. Licensed from Carnal Beast.

From their humble beginnings in 1985 on to their super-cult debut album, 1987’s Crest of Black, Japan’s SACRIFICE have stood for uncompromising, world-eating, thrashy METAL. Let’s reiterate: thrashy heavy metal rather than pure thrash metal. Thick and viscous is their thrust, with straightforward songwriting and exceptionally mean delivery. However, it was with 1990’s Total Steel where they’d perfect that signature style.

Much like Japanese punk takes bog-standard tropes and upends them in unique ways, so, too, did SACRIFICE do such with crossover on Total Steel. Aptly titled in its dedication to rivetheaded ignorance-is-bliss, Total Steel is a nine-song/46-monster which mainlines then-contemporaneous Cro-Mags, Venom, Razor, Carnivore, the UK’s Sacrilege, Nasty Savage, The Exploited, and even early Celtic Frost into something that sounds like all those simultaneously and nothing like ‘em at all. Credit is due to the band’s bullheaded approach to riffing: hammer/hammer/hammer, hypnotically so, stripping everything down to its barbaric basics and then build ‘em up to towering heights. Literally, you DROWN in their crush here, as nearly every vocal-led track tops five minutes, allowing for maximal immersion. Likewise, SACRIFICE’s execution is creepy and sleazy in equal measure, spitting forth attitude even when the linguistic translations go astray. But, the closing couplet of “Don’t Wanna Be Back in Black Days” and “Cold Storm” perhaps perfectly underline their particular headspace.

Amazingly, Total Steel sounds as refreshing today as time-locked as it sounded in 1990. Fans of Power Trip and Iron Age on to maniacs for metalpunk and those who hunt for Combat Core, bow before SACRIFICE!

While it would seem that MAD BUTCHER were inspired by Germany’s legendary Destruction, the truth is rather the other way around: MAD BUTCHER predated Destruction by a number of years, and began even earlier than Teutonic metal mainstays Accept, Steeler, Grave Digger, and Living Death. As such, they were one of the first real metal bands in Germany to pick up sonic influence from the burgeoning NWOBHM movement and the early US metal scene. And what they delivered with their ragged ‘n’ righteous debut album, 1985’s Lightning Metal Attack, stands immortal to this day even though it’s largely remained a cult curio among diehard metal collectors. RELICS FROM THE CRYPT reissued it on vinyl in late 2020, and now grants MAD BUTCHER’s equally electric second album, Metal Meat, the same treatment.

Originally released on the long-dormant Metal Enterprises in 1987, Metal Meat is both an intensification of that rough-around-the-edges but addictingly spirited debut and a smoother, more-finessed version of it. It’s imperative to understand that that Lightning Metal Attack was rather “behind the times” when it was originally released in 1985, given that MAD BUTCHER’s subgenre-defiant sound spanned ALL heavy metal of the day, from NWOBHM to the early ‘80s US sound, before speed metal and then thrash splintered forth from that wider stylistic pool. That they then kinda cobbled it together into an adrenaline rush strikingly similar to speed metal is no mean feat. By comparison – and, crucially, retaining the same lineup as the debut – Metal Meat’s speed metal songs cruised with confidence and ease, in no small part to the improved production, which was still considered “raw” by mainstream standards. However, it’s those hooky, vaguely “mainstream” strutters here that make Metal Meat such a wild and enduring spin. There’s never gonna be a moment where one would ever mistake MAD BUTCHER for a hair-metal band, but a great deal of this album sidles most sinisterly next to that oft-maligned idiom, the band’s more pronounced hard-rock swagger suggesting the Sunset Strip rather than the industrial wasteland of their native Ruhr. Put another way, Metal Meat is far closer to the dark & heavy sleaze of early W.A.S.P. or even Exciter’s way-ugly Unveiling the Wicked than, say, Poison or Ratt. And of course, MAD BUTCHER’s innate German-ness rings loud and clear here, with vocalist/bassist Harry Elbracht delivering an effortlessly creepy performance.

And while MAD BUTCHER would disband in 1990, after two officially released albums and a third posthumously released in 2020, their legendry among the true-metal faithful was forever etched with Lightning Metal Attack – and further etched into the annals of CULT with its inadvertently strange follow-up. Now, for posterity, RELICS FROM THE CRYPT will deliver this Metal Meat right to your table, on the format it so deserves: vinyl!

GROMADAH RELEASE NEW TRACK: "CONSCIENCE"

In November 2021, Gromadah intends to release the digital single "Conscience". This is a song in the genre of progressive death metal with strong Harsh vocals by Oleg Shpakovsky and the infernal growl of Jorg Gromadoff, which complement each other in various ways and play the role of inner and outer conscience of a person in the content of the song's lyrics. In the accompaniment of the song the listener will hear non-trivial almost jazz and at the same time powerful metal riffs of Dmytro Chernychenko's guitar, ambient patterns of acoustic guitar, mad solo guitar. All this is supported by a well-coordinated rhythm section of the drum part of Vitaliy Biletsky and the virtuoso bass part of Oleg Shpakovsky.

In the name "GROMADAH" in one of the Slavic languages ​​coded "thunder" and "hell". Thus, one of the meanings of the name - "hell’s thunder". There is also the original meaning of the word "community" - a local social association of people. And this is the meaning of echoes in some texts on social issues. In addition, in the local dialect of Ukrainian, which some call Russian, this word means something huge and immeasurable. All these meanings coincide with the music and lyrics of Gromadah's songs.

The main musical leitmotif of the group is progressive metal in various heavy metals

subgenres such as death metal, groove, thrash, etc.… musicians do not restrain themselves with genre prejudices. For example, the band's music sometimes contains symphonic and jazz rudiments. The lyrics deal with acute social and existential-philosophical themes of modern society and the inner world of the individual.

From 2005 to 2011 Gromadah actively performed at local Ukrainian venues and participated in festivals. Initially, the band's name was written in Cyrillic (Громада), but since 2009 the name has been transliterated into Latin. It is pronounced the same way. This change is due to the band's desire to spread their music around the world.

In 2011, the band suspended its activities and the musicians later joined various music projects and did not play together until 2017.

In 2017, Gromadah reunited and plunged headlong into productive studio work to create their own music and cover versions of famous metal artists.

At this time, the band's YouTube channel and Instagram, Facebook and Bandcamp pages appeared, so the band began to develop its own resources for self-publicity.

On December 23, 2019, the first single “Stars and the Moon” will be released on the YouTube channel. In January 2020, the single will be released on digital streaming platforms.

In April 2020, the band will post an animated video with the song "Masquerade" on their own YouTube channel. In the autumn of the same year, "Masquerade" and the third single "Humility" were released on digital streaming services.

At the same time, the band is recording some video clips of cover versions of songs by world-famous artists (Pantera, Slipknot, Korn, Godsmack ...) to increase the audience of their YouTube channel and social networks. After that, with the presentation of the label Metal Scrap, Gromadah became known to readers of music publications in Portugal, Brazil, Belarus, Ukraine and some other European countries. So one of the singles appears in the playlists of the British magazine Power.

The development of its own YouTube channel and Instagram profile has given impetus to the popularity of Gromadah's music. During the year, the number of fans of the band has grown from tens to hundreds and several thousands (YouTube - 833, Instagram - 2940, Facebook - 631) and these figures continue to grow. The band also has a Patreon  page and its own merch online store. People from all over the world are becoming more and more interested

musical achievements of the band and are waiting for the release of the album.

By the end of 2021, Gromadah will release a video with a cover of perhaps Korn's "most metallic" song, and will traditionally post it on its YouTube channel and streaming services.

Two more singles from the album scheduled for 2022 are scheduled for release in 2022. It is also planned to film a video for a Ukrainian-language cover of the famous hit of the band Testament.

The band is currently actively looking for a publishing label with a global distribution and a wide range of additional services on mutually beneficial terms.

We get called to war every day and it is up to us to step up and face our fears. The DIY Canadian quartet heeds this mantra, consistently pushing boundaries with their fast and dramatic metal music.

Unleashed via their own label Plan B Music, the beginning of the "Dead End" series, Pt.1 was unveiled in April, which was in-your-face, old-school-inspired metal, whereas Pt. 2, slated for November 26th is more progressive and atmospheric.

The band comments:

“Overall, the two EPs together are a collection of 9 songs, 9 stories about struggle. We have let the events of 2020 influence the process and the mood of the two EPs, while still aiming for a timeless production that will age well in time. The title and artwork represent the doom and gloom of life in the year 2020 and how the human race reacts in the face of death and uncertainty. With the impossibility to meet to even take a band picture, WarCall presents themselves as fictional post-apocalyptic warriors, a subtle comment and nod to the current events that marked the year 2020. SUHRIM RE-RELEASE "UNIDENTIFIED FLYING BODYPARTS" (20th ANNIVERSARY)

On October 23, 2021, Belgian label Necktwister has released the vinyl version from the first full-length album from Belgian band Suhrim, called 'Unidentified Flying Bodyparts'.

That first full-length album came out in 2001 and now for the first time on vinyl. This to honor the 20th anniversary from this album.

First full length album for the first time on vinyl, released on October 23, 2021, through Necktwister.   

Originally formed in the closing months of 1989 by Johan Antonissen (bass) and Paul Brunson (drums) SUHRIM takes its listener back to the first era of Autopsy, Gorefest, Bolt Thrower, Illdisposed and Terrorizer. It would take the band several years and a slew of musicians later to come to its definite and most punishing form to date. Today SUHRIM gets recognized as Belgium’s oldest, most respected and longest running death metal institution.

Founded as far back as 1989 SUHRIM existed under a variety of incarnations and forms, releasing various demo tapes, promo recordings and EPs until 1998 with vocalist/bassist Johan Antonissen being the original member and driving force behind the band through out. In the mid to late 90s the band even was called ‘the Antwerp Mortician’ due to its two-piece line up and the vague similarities in musical styles. 1998-1999 saw the induction of two new members. This line-up would last long enough to record and tour for their limited debut full length “Unidentified Flying Bodyparts” through Hybreed Records, all 500 copies would soon be sold out, making it a local success and hard-to-find European death metal album. With the debut being a moderate success in the underground, the band travels all over the country opening up for high profile international headliners.

In 2004 SUHRIM returned with the less than subtly titled “The Cunt Collector”. However, the band encountered problems with their new album prior to manufacture as the pressing plant refused to handle the manufacture due to “obscene imagery and language”. The album, now being re-pressed is re-titled for a re-issue in digipack version and comes with new cover art by their new contractor Pulsar Light Records. With PLR collapsing, the record is later restored in its original glory, albeit remixed and re-mastered through Shiver Records. October touring in Southern Europe had the group partnering with Portuguese act SACRED SIN. In May 2005 the band aligns itself with legendary re-formed Polish death/grind formation DEAD INFECTION for a two-week trek all over the European continent. The package is playing shows in Spain, Italy, France and Germany on what is dubbed the Collective Corrosion Tour.

In 2007 – almost two decades after forming – SUHRIM are on the verge of showing their true potential and staying power with their latest offering “Happy Hour”. Boasting a high quality production courtesy of Hertz Studio in Poland, the band considerably ups the ante for the local underground. No longer content with the status-quo of their 2004 release Suhrim travelled to Poland and recorded their latest slab in 2007 with “Happy Hour”. The result is possibly the band’s crowning achievement of their illustrious 18 year career; flesh ripping guitar hooks, bowel-rendering grooves and guttural vocal firework make this a savage, contemporary death metal tornado that is as uncompromisingly groovy as it is undeniably intense.

In 2009 – Suhrim called it quits, however still played live on a few exclusive events. Who knows if this will happen ever again?

In 2021 Necktwister will release 2001 album Unidentified Flying Bodyparts as a limited 20th anniversary LP.

UNRISE RELEASE "CODE BLUE"

Unrise is a 4-piece melodic/groove metal band from Hampshire, UK, formed in early 2020.

The band members hold a wide-ranging musical pedigree, with backgrounds in various genres from classical and folk to rock, thrash and death metal.

Unrise evolved from the established metal band Fall From Perfection, whose 2016 album Metamorph and live performances garnered wide praise.

Following the recruitment of a new bass player, the band immediately started rehearsing and finalising material for the new album. From the cocoon of lockdown, a new identity was born and a 13-track album produced; recorded and produced by the band; mixed and mastered at Jigsaw Audio by the revered producer Myroslav Borys.

In August of 2021, the Unrise debut album Code Blue was released online worldwide.

Whilst the music ranges from modern thrash to progressive rock, the album is enriched with melody and groove along with intelligent song-writing and lyrical themes. With a sound sitting somewhere between Pantera and Lacuna Coil, Jinjer and Gojira, Code Blue offers both instant heaviness and catchiness whilst providing melodic satisfaction and musical layers revealed with repeated listening.

Ticket to Death is the debut album from Wisconsin based heavy metal band Killstrap. Ticket to Death is an 8 song collection of metal madness touching on the darker elements of the human collective; greed, destruction, death and the like.

Heavy driving guitars are provided by Kris Fox [Tenezmus, Heilzaam, Snitchler, The microns],and the punishing rhythmic thunder comes from the D.C. progressive music scene drummer and author Paul Sears [The Muffins, Manna Mirage, Cloud Over Jupiter].

( William Jungwirth was originally slated to play the skins but was caught up in a bizarre "free piano" internet incident at the time of recording. )

The majority of the lyrics are courtesy of Fox, although Sass [Heilzaam, Snitchler, Boot to the Head] provided creative story lines and some lyric insanity for a number of tracks, notably, Killstrap, Throat Punch, Choke Slammed Again, and Devil's Cross).

This album is dedicated to the super-fans/ friends who continually encourage the art ( you know who you are), the independent musicians/ artists who push through day after day to make and share their art, and the dedicated men and women (and their families) who serve and have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
