In a nutshell ‘Communion’ is a violent descent of bile-soaked intensity spiralling between filth laden swagger, and fragile mournful lament. The album delves into the internal aloneness of existence and the failings of the human connection.

Owing as much to Bauhaus and Killing Joke as it does to Black Sabbath or Neurosis, there are moments of gut wrenching doomed up heaviness and bellowing noise rock, contrasting with ambient gothic passages and a thoughtful melancholy, to a create a powerful new chapter in their ceaseless journey through the gloom.

EVIL INVADERS’s Shattering Reflection promises to be a game-changer for the Belgian four-piece, as the band finds their own formula – twisting heavy metal into yet another extreme direction. Bratislava, Slovakia-Based Industrial/Experimental Doom/Death Metal Trio 0N0 is excited to announce the upcoming release of their 3rd album, Unwavering Resonance. Recorded and mixed by the band, post-processing by Angakok Thoth (Mydriasis Studios), and mastered by Greg Chandler (Priory Recording Studios). Cover art for 0N0 - Unwavering Resonance was created by Viral Graphics. The album will be released on June 24th via The House Of What You See. It is the follow-up to the group's two 2019 releases, Cloaked Climax Concealed (Transcending Obscurity Records) and a separate split effort release with German band Owl.

Active since 2005, 0N0 was created as a vessel among three experienced musicians with a singular ambition: "to sound different from the host of metal bands, both in terms of composition and production." A lofty aim that the trio has consistently achieved across their lengthy discography, which to date, consists of two full-lengths, four EP's, and one split release. 

Fast forward to 2022, and 0N0 is ready to unveil their finest effort yet, Unwavering Resonance. Which consists of four incredibly dense, mind-bogglingly dynamic, and sonically diverse songs clocking in at a total run time of just under forty minutes from start to finish. In line with the band's well-established adventurous ethos, Unwavering Resonance conjoins and creates new musical ground from a mix of industrial and experimental tinged doom metal, a vast array of death metal and black metal influences, sludge, post-metal, and ties it all together with separate atmospheric and progressive tinged layers throughout the album. 

The end result of such a deconstructed approach to doom and industrial-inspired metal, equally rooted in death and black metal, is a sound that many have not ever heard before. The furthest thing from an imitation of someone else's style, Unwavering Resonance is a work of forward-thinking metal that exists in its own fascinating and unique world.

On the thematic and lyrical front, Unwavering Resonance pairs its heady approach to hard-to-categorize metal music with larger-than-life concepts that are in themselves, a part of all our lives, settling on an abstract sensibility from which the ideas are grounded. Ranging from the evils humanity has wrought and our individual obsessions with pettiness as people on opener "Clay Weight", to the ever-present concept of "perennial cosmic intercourse" on "Shattering". The title track, "Unwavering Resonance" serves as "a collage born of old memories and their influences on us in the present". Meanwhile, the album closer, "Wander the Vacant Twilight" dives into the birth of an atom and its "reincarnation" on many different metaphysical levels.

0N0 - Unwavering Resonance will appeal to fans of bands that have inspired the group which includes Industrial influence from Godflesh. Doom influence from Esoteric. Death Metal influences from Gorguts, Ulcerate.

FOUL BODY AUTOPSY RELEASE "SHADOWS WITHOUT LIGHT: PART TWO"

In October of 2021 Tom Reynolds released the first part of his latest, most ambitious Foul Body Autopsy project to date. Shadows Without Light Part One was the opening EP in a trilogy of releases that would see Tom chart his own course through grief and bereavement, challenging himself and pushing at the boundaries of his music in the process. Now it is time for the journey to continue, as Shadows Without Light Part Two is revealed...

As with the first part of the Shadows... trilogy, Shadows Without Light Part Two features three interpretations of a single track – the titular Shadows Without Light Part Two. The first version of the song is a storm of incisive, surgical riffing and raw, emotive vocals, all touched with magnificent, melancholic melodies. This track shows the continued evolution of Foul Body Autopsy into a state of the art melodic death metal band. Following on from this stunning beginning Tom then applies a Synth Wave Remix to the song, which abandons his traditionally riff based approach completely and heads into more hypnotic, atmospheric territories altogether. Finally the two incarnations of Shadows Without Light Part 2 collide, entwine and coalesce to form a third – the Hybrid Remix – completing another chapter in this brave and exciting endeavour.

Once again Tom has turned to producer Russ Russell (Amorphis, At The Gates, Napalm Death etc) to bring his songs to life and Arif Rot (Wormrot etc) to create the stunning artwork that reaches deep into the troubled soul of the music. Shadows Without Light Part Two builds beautifully upon the foundations laid by ...Part One and on May 1st we continue on this remarkable journey through the long, dark night of loss.

The project was created in 2013 in Manizales, city of the Eje Cafetero, cradle of extreme metal in Colombia. Their material has been released by the most important record labels in Colombia: Brutalized Records and Hatewoks, played shows in cities around their country and Ecuador and in some of the most important metal festivals in their region. The band was elected as openers for prominent acts as Destruction, Tim Ripper Owens, The Haunted, Pungent Stench. Their material has been mixed and mastered by important musical producers in the international metal scene as Tomas Sogsberg and Andy Classen and their only professional video was directed by the most important horror director in Colombia Juan Diego Escobar. From the beginning THE SCUM has been strongly influenced by the horror genre in films and literature and the sounds of old school death metal. They have released an EP in 2015 called “Self-Destructive Race”, a debut album entitled “Ashen” in 2018 that was mixed by Tomas Skogsberg in Sunlight studios and an EP also mixed by Tomas Skogsberg and mastered at Stage One Studio by Andy Classen named “Dead Eyes” (2020). Guest vocal was by Dave Ingram (Benediction). A video was made for the title track of the EP “Dead Eyes” directed by Colombian most important horror director Juan Diego Escobar. New album “The Hunger” mixed again in Sunlight Studios.

MAN MACHINE INDUSTRY is the solo project created by producer/songwriter/front-man J. Bergman who has a history as the drummer in SLAPDASH (Nuclear Blast rec) and ROSICRUCIAN (Black Mark Prod). With the album “DOOMSDAY CLOCK“ 2020 GMR Music) J.B raised the bar as a songwriter/producer/musician and now MMI is back with a vengeance.” ESCHATON I. Reckoning Day” is the first one out of three EP/Mini-albums in the new Man Machine Industry album-trilogy. The trilogy theme are different and takes on ”the end of the world”. Not all of the songs carries the theme but the cover art and most songs do.

The three albums will also have a guest vocalist on one song each and on ”ESCHATON I” it’s none other than the legendary Mr. Dave Hill of the NWOBHM/Progressive Rock pioneers DEMON, who does a duet with J. Bergman on the song ”Information Overload”, co-written with another talented songwriter/producer, Erik Mårtensson of ECLIPSE.

It’s been more than four years since Leipzig’s dark metal act The Fright unleashed an impressive testimony to their awesome musical talent with their album ‘Canto V’. Over the subsequent four years, the world has become ever more complicated and difficult. The social upheavals of our time, the uncertainty of the pandemic, all these aspects have unnerved a lot of bands and artists, even demoralizing some of them irrevocably. Not so The Fright, who appear to draw energy from challenges and have created in their latest offering ‘Voices Within’ a recording that is in many ways contemporary and at the same time impressive in its intensity. Again, the band surrounding frontman Lon Fright has evolved artistically, made meaningful changes in terms of personnel and style, and transformed the general public`s despondent mood into a confident metal statement. ‘Voices Within’ is a reflection on the present situation, but also a reference to the future, an unreservedly positive album despite its underlying melancholia. Or as Lon Fright puts it: “Our sound has changed, it’s a bit more ponderous and bulky, but still contains lots of pop elements and catchy melodies, like a flower growing from a lava rock. ‘Voices Within’ is an album to heal the kind of adolescence where you lose sight of life’s beauty.”

There’s a number of reasons for The Fright's recent development, one of them being a major reshuffle: Guitarist Chris North is new to the band and now forms, together with Lon Fright, The Fright’s compositional backbone, significantly shaping the new record with his powerful and earthy guitar style. Chris North has his roots in black metal and, with his great musical skill, contributes a wider range of sounds and styles to The Fright. His riffs and power chords are a perfect foundation and at the same time the atmospheric field of tension for the vocalist’s anthemic vocals. “Compositionally, I´m more of a preppy type,” winks Lon Fright, “but through Chris I got into black metal. His guitar parts have opened up a lot of new possibilities for us. ‘Voices Within’ unmistakably benefits from that aspect.”

Lon Fright is referring to songs such as ‘Identity’ with its uncompromising heavy riff, ‘End’ which even has a shoegaze reference shimmer through the cleverly woven tremolo guitar, and especially to the album’s finale ‘Fall’, the culminating climax of a recording that is captivating from the first to the very last note. ‘Fall’ presents The Fright from their solidly metallic side, with heavy doom attacks and great lyrical depth. Lon Fright: “It`s about elbow mentality and restlessness, about people you hurt on your way to the top. I say if the only way to get to the top is through ruthlessness, then I`d rather fall and never get up again.” In addition to a number of new stylistic devices, however, there are also typical The Fright tracks on ‘Voices Within’, such as the first single release/video clip ‘Choices’ (due out on 18 February 2022) with its confidence in the countless opportunities that life offers: “The lyrics are about becoming aware of the finite nature of life, because without that finite nature, life makes no sense.” ‘End’, the second single/clip to be released from the album, will be available from 1 April 2022. Finally, and parallel to the album release on 29 April 2022, the cycle of singles/videos will be rounded off by ‘Illusion’ and its search for the child within every one of us.

The album was recorded at the band’s own Dead Road Studio, the drum parts were once again contributed by Yannik “Rage” Fleming, Marie-Christin Herberg made a guest appearance on the piano, Disillusion mastermind Andy Schmidt was enlisted for the editing and fine-tuning of the synths, and audio engineer Dennis Koehne was in charge of mixing and mastering. The album is complemented by an unusual album cover: The original 1 x 1 metre painting by Leipzig artist Benjamin Sprunk aka ‘Xin1 Art’ reveals a special feature only at second glance. This phenomenon, however, is programmatic in every sense, for who can predict what kind of (metal) light ‘Voices Within’ will cast on The Fright when seen from a future perspective?

Bio: The conjuring of Hanz Krypt occurred in the beginning of 1983 In Torrance California, when founding members Mark Hayes and Dave Schlom (original drummer) replied to an ad in Recycler magazine placed by Phil Pedretti, which read "lead guitar player looking for band". They all agreed to meet and jam, and the rest is history, Hanz Krypt was Born! Soon to be joined by John Cochran (Vermin, L.S.N., Granite Waves) on 2nd guitar and Robbie Wolfe on vocals. This lineup lasted 6 months until the direction that Hanz Krypt and the direction that John Cochran wanted to go was different. John preferring the newer speed thrash metal and Hanz Krypt who stayed true to their dark gloomy Black Sabbath roots. They parted ways with their friend John, and he went on to form the L.A. thrash metal band Vermin along with Vince Ferrantino on Vocals. Larry Farkas was added to Hanz Krypt as a second guitar player and both bands went on to play shows together in the LA area. Shortly after that they knew Vince was the front man vocalist, they were looking for, so they asked Vince to leave Vermin and join Hanz Krypt... the rest is history....

We stayed close to the original arrangement - this was such a blast to record, and Phil sang his ass off on it. The song title came from a very famous fusion bands album title (The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Inner Mounting Flame), and was our take on what that flame might be about."

With only two demos under their belt since inception in 2018, it may seem MALIGNANT ALTAR have been somewhat quiet by modern standards. This entity has not been slumbering or resting on their laurels, rather crafting the most fetidly obscene album imaginable. From its 80s horror influences; introducing a barrage of offal that festers in the phantasmal form of rotten riffing and drudging drums, layering themselves a thick and tarry swamp of instrumental decay. Vocally, the snarly puke that fits the malignantly mesmerizing riff-scape gloriously to ensure only the most befitting disgust emanates into your speakers from the altar of putridity. Now, some of these metaphors might lead you to think I am referring to a regressive band of simple playing ability and limited talent. This would be unforgivably far from the truth as the restless drumming and technically-edged riffs invoke the likes of Demilich amongst the flow of revolting hooks.

Thundering along, through five more typical tracks and a suitably spectral interluding instrumental, the momentum of this record is unforgiving and yet they do not forgo dynamics either. Two years incubation in the crypts of sentient slime and what lurches forth from the slumbering spew is nothing short of magnificent. These Texans have flavor in their death - which knows when to add flare or just ride out some obliterating groove until the neck is granulated from headbanging. Have your corpse and eat it?

Machine Gun Mayhem was formed in 2018 by Joe Robichaud and Ryan Barbin. Being prolific songwriters, these two started writing and jamming and soon found themselves with dozens of tunes. They set out to find the rest of the members who would become Machine Gun Mayhem. The duo added second guitarist Brent “The Black Goat of the Forest” Martino, Joe “Chippy” McPhee on drums, and Tim “The Butcher” Harrigan on bass. This proved to be the perfect lineup as the band found that not only could they play together, but they could write songs together. Wherever MGM plays, we bring the metal, the party, and the energy. The band believes a Metal show should be a spectacle; we want to leave the audience wondering what I just witnessed and where I can see more. Spring of 2022 will see the release of our first full-length album and a return to the stage!

Moonlight Sorcery is a Finnish black metal trio formed in early 2018. The band’s black metal is a symphonic and melodic variety by nature. Ande's 6th release, "Vehemence" is a raw and introverted view towards existence. 

The concept of the album is the individual that goes through life dealing with emotions and surroundings. It’s about hardship, despair, as well as beauty and gaining knowledge. The duality of everything.

Musically rooted in second wave atmospheric black metal with more contemporary influences, it's the first Ande album with all lyrics in English. It was recorded at the home studio and professionally mixed and mastered by Andy Rosczyk at Goblin Sound Studio. The album cover is a painting by Frederic Appermont.

Static Abyss is the new mouthpiece for a rotten age consisting of the duo of Greg Wilkinson (Guitars/bass) & Chris Reifert (drums/vocals), both members of legendary American masters of sickness Autopsy, with Greg (also of cult act Deathgrave) recently welcomed as new bass player for the long-running US act’s next studio opus and beyond.

Static Abyss’ debut studio album, ‘Labyrinth of Veins’, presents an unnerving, multi-layered eerie concoction of dirty doom and death, including themes exploring the echoes of insanity manifested through human existence. The result; a sinister onslaught of at times slow and bludgeoning brutal metal whilst at others whipped into a storm of chaotic vile hysterics. The spirit of Autopsy is at times present in the truly titanic riffs swathed in chilling atmospheric guitar leads, whilst Chris’ seemingly bottomless pit of morbid inspiration from the dark & twisted corners of life permeate the release with his highly distinguishable delivery to further the descent into madness.

‘Labyrinth of Veins’ was recorded at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA, & Great American Music Hall, with engineering, mixing and mastering overseen by Greg himself.
