By the invisible sea of secrets that laps silently about the foothills of Mons Ardeshir, they have heard. Far beyond the mountains of Mithrim, where the chroniclers of eternity write the many histories of Vulpecula in the blood of their broken fingers, they have heard. Doors have been opened and rifts have been traversed. The conjurers of chaos are blowing upon the horns of Ib and the malformed beasts of malfeasance who have slumbered in dreams aeons long are stirring. The stairways to the new world are open and the drums of destruction are calling; the fires of war are alight!

A new entity has crawled from the boiling swamps that lie in the deepest recesses of the death metal underworld. A force of terrifying alien power and chilling otherness that is about to bleed insidiously into our reality. Axiom Chaos have fused the devastating impact of death metal with the untameable capricious might of pandemonium and invoked the strange, compelling visions of Primacy Arrival! Beginning with the lurching monstrosity of ‘The King I Am’ that erupts into fetid, pustulent life, guitars howling over the deranged whispering of deformed divinities, Primacy Arrival proceeds to tear your reality to tattered shreds. Invoking fantastic atmospheres and radiating intimidating terror, this album transforms death metal into something unknowable and unnameable. In ‘The Gift Of Recognition’ the guitar leads seem to speak, uttering words from forbidden dimensions that make the skin crawl in fearful revulsion, while ‘Wormhold Pathways Of Conquest’ is simply inexorable. Primacy Arrival’s crowning glory however comes with its titanic conclusion – ‘Exodus Into Oblivion’. Shattering velocities entwine with spiralling guitar patterns and something majestic, almost beautiful emerges from the shadows as melodies unwind behind the monolithic sounds. Strange magic breaks through the song structure, an infiltration of madness to accompany this triumphal procession for a king from beyond, as our reality is consumed.

While the name of Axiom Chaos is a new one, those who march behind its banner are better known -  Ben Vanweelden (Venomous Echoes, Ceremonic Buryment etc) and Justin Vølus (Vølus, Fall Of Gnosis, Maggot Crown etc) – and they are now united with the might of Comatose Music for the May 9th release of Primacy Arrival. TORANAGA U.K. RELEASE NEW EP "A NEW ORDER"

Formed in 1985, Toranaga were at the forefront of the UK thrash scene, releasing two of the movement’s most impressive and important albums – Bastard Ballads for Peaceville Records in 1988 and God’s Gift for major label Chrysalis Records in 1990. However, despite the critical acclaim garnered by both albums and successful tours with the likes of Manowar, Venom, Saxon, Annihilator and more, the band split with Chrysalis in ’91 and everything came to a halt. Various versions of Toranaga appeared over the years, with The Bastard Son Of Toranaga releasing an EP in 2011 and an album in 2013, but after that the story seemed to have reached its end…until now! Original and ever present Toranaga vocalist Mark Duffy has assembled a new team of talented musicians and under the banner Toranaga U.K. they are about to unleash an outstanding four track EP – A New Order!

A New Order features two new songs and two Toranaga classics, re-recorded and re-energised. The new songs – opener ‘Desecration’ and title track ‘A New Order’ – completely capture the original spirit of Toranaga, with deft and dextrous riffing, scorching solos, immersive atmosphere, great melodies and choruses and Mark Duffy’s inimitable vocals, their power undiminished by the passage of time. They sit perfectly alongside the gleaming new renditions of ‘The Shrine’ and ‘Sword Of Damocles’ from the God’s Gift album. The band were never fully satisfied with the sound on God’s Gift and here two of its finest songs have at long last been given the cutting edge they were not afforded in their original incarnation. Bringing together the past and the future, A New Order is a timely reminder of just what a remarkable band Toranaga were and gives a tantalising glimpse of how much Toranaga U.K. still have to offer.

The vibrant, forceful sound on A New Order was captured for the band by producer and composer Steve Kilpatrick at his Soundfackery studios in France. Steve has worked for BBC Radio, Channel 4, the London Olympics, on feature films and many other diverse and fascinating projects – with all that experience helping to bring out the very best from Toranaga U.K.’s A New Order. The "Ember Remains" EP continues the natural progression and presents a darker and heavier landscape that Northvoid paints with their music. After the debut EP released in 2022 and the three independent single releases that followed, the band takes another step towards the musical style that it has strived for throughout its existence.

The core of the EP is formed around a foundation created by heavy guitars and bass and

drums. The whole is united by a vocals that moves more and more towards a traditional death metal style. The album's entirety is supported by a soundscape playing in the background, created with keyboards, depicting northern melancholy. North Texas metal powerhouse WARHOG continues their dark journey into the heart of dystopia with the release of their latest single, "Future Shock", the newest chapter in their ongoing conceptual saga The Dystopian Chronicles, Vol. III. "Future Shock" imagines a world unrecognizable — a grim future where decay thrives beneath artificial light, and human value is reduced to digital metrics and spare parts. It’s a reflection on how far we’ve already fallen, and a chilling forecast of what might still come.

COGAS was founded in 2015 by Piero Mura and Davide Ambu with the goal of bringing Sardinian extreme metal to the English scene. Initially a duo, the band expanded in 2018 and released their debut EP, “At the Gates of Pazuzu” (2019), after their first live performances in London.

They quickly gained recognition in the local underground scene, followed by the EP “Fuck Your Black Metal Scene” (2020) and their first full-length album, “Unconscious Sons of the Reptile God” (2021), which was well received across Europe. Despite a few line-up changes, COGAS continued performing and evolving, with new musicians contributing to their sound. In 2024, they recorded their second full-length album, “Among the Dead: How to Become a Ghost”, set for release in 2025.

DISSENTOR RELEASE "FLAGELLA"

DISSENTOR weaves this narrative through Aquib, Vedanta, Arun, and Krzysztof in the debut EP "Flagella" portraying the unspoken corrupted path to purification, of a belief in a saviour, awaiting in the perfect irony, becoming an absurdist trap between worship and torment.

Composing within the lightless Delhi dungeons, Aquib chanced upon Vedanta after a decade of no contact on a lifeless afternoon of 2020, sharing opposing worldviews of internalised mass belief and hypocrisy, that would lead to their first ever collaboration, DISSENTOR. Arun soon joined to offer subterranean lows in complete atonal despair, while Krzysztof became the final piece, lending his finesse to percuss through the EP’s oceanic chaos.

Songs for debut EP titled "Flagella" were composed, written, engineered and produced by Aquib Rahman. EP was mixed and mastered by Aquib Rahman. Cover artwork was done by Peapounder. Drum parts were recorded by Polish well known drummer Krzysztof Klingbein who is drummer of Totenmesse, live drummer of Austrian Belphegor and in the past was working with such great bands as Vader, Hate, Batushka, Kranium and more.

This album is unlike the usual Kratornas, so anyone expecting it to sound like “early Kratornas” will be disappointed.

The 7" vinyl demo features “Ravaged by Hurakaan” on Side A, with Side B containing an instrumental “Drum and Bass” version of the same track. This vinyl-exclusive release will not be available in digital format, making it a true collector's item for dedicated fans. Simultaneously, Kratornas will release a remix of the track on cassette. Both the vinyl and the upcoming album were mastered by Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity).

"Ravaged by Hurakaan" serves as track #3 on the upcoming full-length album "God of the Tribes," giving fans an early taste of what to expect from the new material. Unlike previous Kratornas releases known for their "superfast brutality," this new material focuses on build-up and atmosphere, showcasing a significant evolution in sound.

The new material features previously unexplored instrumentation, including a 7-string guitar for L/R channels and a 6-string fretless bass, moving away from blast beats and heavily distorted guitars toward a more nuanced approach. Black Metal fans, especially those with an interest in “being progressive”, should take note.

Black Lion Records is thrilled to present Greek black/death metal conjurors Exilium Noctis’ sophomore album, Pactum Diaboli, arriving on CD and digital formats on May 9.

Formed in 2021 by Thyragon and Omega, Exilium Noctis is an intense black/death metal outburst steeped in darkness and melancholy. Based in Volos, Thessaly, the group channels malice and monstrous fury into macabre hymns, crafted for the chosen ones, the seekers of the void, in the absence of light and false idols.

The release of their debut album, Fragments of Apocalypse, in 2022 via Sleaszy Rider Records marked a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution, as they began garnering attention within the extreme metal underground. Riding the momentum of that release, Exilium Noctis took to the stage regularly, performing alongside acts such as Akhlys, Sakis Tolis, Kawir, Varathron, Yoth Iria, and Deviser. A standout highlight came with their appearance at Golden R Festival, where they shared the stage with legendary names like Mayhem, Gaerea, Sorcerer, Warlord, Mystic Prophecy, and Grave Digger.

Now, Exilium Noctis return with a more mature aural vision in 2025. The upcoming full-length, Pactum Diaboli, emerges as a dark and imposing work, exploring themes of religious conflict, the human soul, and the Faustian pact with Mephistopheles. The album delves deep into the concept of making deals with the devil, with its title symbolizing the eternal struggle between temptation and the soul’s redemption. Marking a clear progression in their sound, Exilium Noctis embraces technical intricacy while preserving the bleak purity of black metal, making this their most ambitious work yet. 

Among other guests, Henri Sattler of God Dethroned contributes his vocals on the title track. The haunting intro of “Devil’s March” includes a dialogue between Mephistopheles and Faust, taken from Jan Švankmajer’s film Faust.

The new tour follows CARTILAGE’s brief run with Impaled and sets at Northwest Terror Fest and Disemboweled God Fest, all in support of their new EP, Tales From The Entrails: A Necrology, released mid-March on Everlasting Spew Records. The blastmasters took their studio operations to home base, enlisting Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Ghoul, Thrice) for recording and mixing duties, while the genre’s perennial grindfather Leon del Muerte (Impaled, Exhumed, Nails) handled mastering, the record then completed with art by Jason V Roberts and photos by Kei Mowry.

WASTE CULT started in Bologna - Italy in late 2021, with all members having experience with other punk/thrash metal projects, including Rake-Off, Hyle, Siege Stompers, Call The Cops…

The aim for WASTE CULT has been to create different sounds and atmospheres to those other projects - exploring a slower doomier approach to their sound. In mid 2022 they self-released an eponymous 4-track EP on tape, and on the back of that started playing shows across Italy.

The first full length - "Blame" - is the characterisation of all their different influences, with a more defined identity - taking inspiration from the doom classics to the more modern post-metal sounds. This reality took shape after years experimenting in the practice room, with “Blame” bearing witness to a more introspective and personal approach within both the music and lyrics.

Aesthetic Death has always been a fan of stoner doom sounds and, like many, was schooled on the likes of Kyuss, Monster Magnet and Black Sabbath. Yet, Aesthetic Death has rarely had opportunity to work on any release with bands from these lands of sound.

When first listening to WASTE CULT it instantly resonated. Albums can become a soundtrack to a period of our lives, as an immersive escape alongside all the positive or negative things happening.
