With the help of then SAMHAIN`s guitarist John Christ and bassist Eerie Von and with drummer Chuck Biscuits he recorded this classic album, that features one of Danzig´s most popular tunes, "Mother" (the popularity of the song skyrocketed after MTV played a "live" video of the tune in 1993). Swedish heavy legends Torch have revealed a lyric video for their brand-new track "Collateral Damage". The song is the first to be revealed from the band's long-awaited comeback album, Reignited, set for international release on September 25th via Metalville Records.
Faster, heavier & louder! That was the motto when TORCH started in 1981. Five young metalheads from the small town of Eskilstuna in Sweden, equipped with a big dream and burning ambitions: Dan Dark on vocals, Chris J. First and Claus Wild on guitars, Ian Greg on bass, and Steve Streaker on drums. With this lineup, the EP Fire Raiser (1982) as well as the albums Torch (1983) and Electrikiss(1984) were recorded, followed by tours through Sweden and Europe. TORCH even got kicked off a Motörhead tour once for smashing a drum kit. But, already in 1986, the band split up again.
"The TORCH" only burned for a few years, but their influence was greater than the musicians themselves realized. Robb Flynn of Machine Head, for example, said the first song they ever played live was a TORCH song. And Snowy Shaw of King Diamond said that he named his first band after a song by TORCH.
Over the years, there were many requests from fans for a reunion. But it wasn't until 2013 that it finally happened. Four of the founding members brought their old friend and guitarist Håkky into the band to play on a rock cruise. The comeback gig was a huge success, and the musicians felt that the time had come to let TORCH flare up again. More gigs followed, including one at the Sweden Rock Festival 2018, where the band was very well received.

They are inspired by Suicide Silence, Lamb of God and Gojira and has a sound they define as Groove Death. The sound is brutal and beautiful, and they are not afraid of exploring sounds outside their genre
With their “own” studio, an in house producer and a prize winning film director as their vocalist, the band is basically self sufficient.
Vocalist, Kasper Juhl, owns Dæmon Film, and recently won 2 prizes at Nordic International Film Festival in New York for his latest Movie; Moonfire. He is producing the bands music videos, the first for the single, Eyes of the Blind, is starring award winning actress Mie Gren.

Technical death thrash jazz metal masters ATHEIST have released a live quarantine video for their classic track "And the Psychic Saw". ATHEIST are widely regarded by those in the know as the pioneers of technical death metal, influencing many of today’s top technical extreme metal bands. ATHEIST was set to return to Europe and the UK for the first time since 2011 with the ENTHRALLED IN EUROPE TOUR in September of 2020. Due to the pandemic the tour has been rescheduled for February/March 2021. The lineup remains as ATHEIST with support from CADAVER, SVART CROWN and FROM HELL.
During quarantine members Daniel Martinez, Chris Martin, Yoav-Ruiz Feingold and Anthony Medaglia kept their chops and produced a series of playthrough videos. The first was for the track ‘Mother Man’ from ATHEIST second album ‘Unquestionable Presence’.
The video for ‘And The Psychic Saw’ as well as the video for ‘Mother Man’ can be viewed at the bands official YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ7LKy_zivv0rWUoVV8QAag?sub_confirmation=1.
Vocalist Kelly Shaefer comments on the video: “This is the second of our playthrough videos – ‘An The Psychic saw’! We wanted to lay this on you metal heads from the new band. It is a notoriously difficult song to play so when the new guys wanted to add this to the set I was reluctant. It is one of my favorite songs, even my co-founder Steve Flynn was always cautious about pulling this song off live so we rarely tried it...and along came these young monsters who just crushed it. So of course I said fuck yes, let's add it to the set. We performed this on several of the dates on our last tour with Cattle Decapitation. These guys just nailed it!!! I couldn’t be more proud to introduce you to ATHEIST 2020. Enjoy!!!”
Don’t miss ATHEIST as they team up with powerhouses CADAVER and SVART CROWN for a terrifying tour through Europe and UK in February/March 2021!
The Norwegian CADAVER, founded by Anders Odden (SATYRICON, ORDER) is a prime example of a true Nordic mindset when it comes to death metal. One of the first Norwegian extreme metal bands, re-gathered for the first time since 2004, is coming back to life with Dirk Verbeuren (MEGADETH, ex-SOILWORK) on drums. The band will present its new digital EP titled DGAF, just released through Nuclear Blast.
The French blackened death metal monsters SVART CROWN will join this powerful lineup with their brand new fifth studio album ‘Wolves Among The Ashes’, released earlier this year through Century Media. Five albums and over ten years of heavy touring made SVART CROWN one of the French bands a true lover of death metal should see anytime they come by.
A heavy metal horror concept band FROM HELL, each recording of which is intended to be its own horror story, will complement this tour. On this leg, the US-based metallers will present their new concept album ‘Rats & Ravens’.
The tour will be complemented by opening acts such as CRITICAL MESS (Germany), TYPHUS (Greece), and one more band to be announced soon.
Carefully flex your neck and keep yourself hydrated so that your body is in good shape when this lineup comes to your town and slams your face with pristine death metal wall of sound!
Colombian death metal band ESHTADUR have released a video for their song "The Red Door". The song is from their album From the Abyss which will be released next week via Blood Blast Distribution.
ESHTADUR launched in the fall of 2005 releasing the "Timo Be Timo" demo with a sound inspired by At The Gates, Soilwork, and SepticFlesh. Since then, they have released a pair of EPs and a potent trio of albums. The band embodies a deathly melodic atmosphere that reaches into realms of darkness and despair through the decay of humanity. With a name translating to "rebellion of angels," this Colombian outfit seeks to rebel in its own darkened way, embracing the abject reality.
Their rich touring history includes performances across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. They have shared the stage and toured with Cradle of Filth, Vader, Graveworm, Coldblood, Abbadon Incarnate and more in shows all over the world, and even headlined a stage at Rock Al Parque, Colombia's premiere heavy music festival, in 2016.
ESHTADUR toured through Europe to support their 2017 album Mother Gray (via Bleeding Music Records). Now set to unleash their new work From the Abyss through Nuclear Blast's Blood Blast Distribution on September 4th, there's nowhere for these rebellious angels to go but up.
Swedish detah black metal masters NECROPHOBIC have released a video for the tracks "The Infernal Depths of Eternity". The tune is part of the band`s new album "Dawn of the Damned" that will be released on October 9th through Century Media Records. More info on:
Norway's premier progressive black metallers ENSLAVED have today released third single 'Urjotun' from their upcoming studio album Utgard - out 2nd October via Nuclear Blast. The single, one of their most experimental yet, is accompanied by a psychedelic video detailing dark visions and a journey to the outer reaches of the subconscious.
Vocalist Grutle Kjellson commented: “The lyrical idea for Urjotun had been spinning around in the chaos in the back of my head for quite a while, when Ivar sent me the riff-demo last autumn. I knew instantly that this was it, the very soundtrack of the rise of the primeval giant, the Urjotun! Our mutual love and fascination for that early krautrock scene and for bands like Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk, finally fully ascended in an Enslaved song, almost 30 years after we picked up those legendary kraut-albums. It’s funny, that in Germany they referred to this kind of music as “Kosmische Musik”, cosmic music! And, that is exactly what this song is about; cosmic chaos. On top of this, director David Hall, made a perfect projection and visualization of our troubled minds.”
In Utgard, ENSLAVED continue exploring uncharted progressive and psychedelic territories - placing them in a unique position of both bearers of tradition as well as explorers into the unknown - propelling themselves into the future, yet honouring their roots. Enslaved have launched an Urjotun t-shirt available in their merch store:
Canadian death metal masters KATAKLYSM has just released a video for the track "Underneath the Scars" (check it below). The tune is part of the band`s "Unconquered" album, released that will be released on September 25th through Nuclear Blast Records. Maurizio Iacono comments, “'Underneath the Scars' is a bulldozer of a track that will surely ignite the world's metalheads into straight headbanging madness. We look forward to bringing this beast live when the time comes. Since all the KATAKLYSM members live in different states and countries as well as all the travel restrictions in place, there was no way we could get together and film another concept video as we had planned. So we dug up some unreleased footage from last year's European headlining tour and decided to pull together a cool montage of what we miss the most; playing live with our crazy fans by our side! Meanwhile, crank up Underneath the Scars and pull them horns up in the air!”
Norwegian death metal horde INSIDIOUS DISEASE, featuring current/former members from DIMMU BORGIR, MORGOTH, NILE, SUSPERIA and NAPALM DEATH, have announced their first album in a decade, "After Death," will be released on October 30thwith Nuclear Blast. Pre-orders are available now and the band has just unleashed a lyric video for a skull-crushing new track titled 'Betrayer.'
Commenting on the new track, vocalist Marc Grewe says, "'Betrayer' kicks in straight away and has a quite remarkable hookline and a riffing that kicks you right into the balls. We can’t wait to play that song live again, which we did already a couple of times, and even if fans didn’t know the song yet, it always got a great response and people freaked/moshed out to it! Lyrically, it deals with stuff everybody has experienced: Getting fucked over/ betrayed by people you actually once trusted/loved to the fullest... this can be girlfriends/boyfriends, bandmates, friends or even family... It was a good cathartic event for me when writing these lyrics... from that feeling of total disappointment into anger and finally to expressing it via a song, that channelled all those negativity into something positive!”
Sonically inducing a depraved and morbid condition of the mind, INSIDIOUS DISEASE will return in 2020 to present their second full length album. Freshly signed to Nuclear Blast Records, the band convenes to create a modern venture into classic death metal. Still in the early stages of existence with only their debut album “Shadowcast (2010)” preceding, INSIDIOUS DISEASE are ripe with a hellish energy that seeks to sear its way across the universe of heavy metal. “It’s not supposed to be re-inventing the wheel or anything, it’s just about finding a good groove that we feel comfortable with,” explains Silenoz.

Indonesian brutal death metal band DISEVARED have released their debut album "Inherit the Period of Suffering". The album is the band`s second release and the successor to their "Punishment for the Greedy Slave" demo from 2016. The album was released through Proguttural Production.
JUNKWOLVZ is a band located in Athens, Greece. Their sound occupies the space between metal and hard rock and their purpose is to reawaken the rock 'n' roll element in metal music. With main influences such as Motorhead, Megadeth, Guns 'n' Roses and Rolling Stones the focus is to merge all these different angles into one coherent musical style. Their first incarnation was in late 2017 but, due to discord in the band's members at the time, they soon disbanded. The group truly began at 2019 when Panos (guitar, vocals) and Stefanos (drums) were joined by friend musicians Chris (guitar) and Manos (bass) who decided to help the two original members kickstart the band, without being in the band. After some cancelled 2020 shows due to the pandemic, Panos and Stef settled on using the quarantine to self-produce their first demo "Still Going Down" and at that time found guitarist Tasos who joined forces at once. So the current line-up consists of Panos (vocals, bass{for now}), Stef (drums) and Tasos (guitar) as a power trio, with a high likelihood of a forth member standing on the horizon.
"Below The Waves" is a deeply personal, pivotal point in the album in which the Fleetburner is faced with harrowing questions towards himself and the surrounding world.
Featuring a cathartic solo by Nils Courbaron (Sirenia, T.A.N.K) and the ever-amazing Agnete M. Kirkevaag as the voice of the ocean, this is the last video before the release of the full album on September 25th 2020.

Whether you call them a supergroup or not, the assemblage of top-tier established talent that comprises newcomers EVILYN is something to behold. Even within the fertile dissonant death/black metal ongoing wave, EVILYN is crafting music at a level few of their peers are.
Consisting of musicians known for their time in Coma Cluster Void, Fawn Limbs, and Thoren, Evilyn pooled all of their collective talents together to create their recent debut release, Inside Shells.
Inside Shells is a five-song offering centered around labyrinth-like compositions churned out in a largely under three-minute-long run-time.
EVILYN - Inside Shells will strongly appeal to fans of Portal, Deathspell Omega, Gorguts, old-school-style death metal influenced by Morbid Angel & Bloodbath, and “anything dissonant” according to the band.
Evilyn band statement regarding Inside Shells: “Evilyn got its start in 2017 as a collaboration between Jeanne Artemis Strieder of Coma Cluster Void and Anthony Lipari of Thoren. The goal was to create an old school style death metal record with more dissonance than you usually hear. While writing it took on a shape of its own, dark and haunting.
Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, Jeanne had to take a step back to focus on other musical endeavors. Jeanne still had a massive impact on the record, by having a hand in arranging, mixing, album artwork, and filling in the rest of the line up with masters like Lee Fisher (Fawn Limbs, Alphanumeric, elinguis, ex-Psyopus) and Jim Hildebrandt (Human Beansauce).
The end result is a monstrous five-song EP that we are proud to present. Enjoy the filth.”

First Single and Official Video “Pestilence” Out Now | Watch HERE!
For over a decade, WARFECT have brought their blackened thrash metal to the hordes. Now, four years after the release of their previous full-length, Scavengers, the Swedish thrash metal three-piece hailing from Uddevalla are even more forceful and have announced their furious new offering, Spectre Of Devastation, out November 13. After recently signing with Napalm Records, WARFECT are now taking the next step with their fourth album by unveiling a true thrash metal engine.
The Swedish artillery of WARFECT strikes in the tradition of Kreator, Legion Of The Damned and old school American thrash metal and paves its way with driving blasts and smashing drums. Straight away, the first notes of “Pestilence” state clearly that this wrecking machine neither cares much about any compromises nor has it come to take prisoners! Riffs as sharp as a razorblade sweep through the ears, while the brutal vocals of frontman Fredrik Wester cuts further whip lashes.
WARFECT on ”Pestilence”: “It truly feels fantastic to unleash the first single and music video for the track "Pestilence" which is themed around the horrors of The Plague. The video was shot and directed by Mikael Martinsson at a castle ruin in our hometown of Uddevalla this summer. It's a fast thrashy song with a gripping mood setting chorus and a good representation of the album.”
Crushing Swedish metal with a modernized, yet classic thrash-inspired attack!
Founded in 2003, WARFECT is one of the most convincing yet underrated acts in the Swedish metal scene. Straight from the Gothenburg underground, the three-piece carries their full potential to the next level with their fourth studio album Spectre of Devastation!
WARFECT states: “We're thrilled to unveil the details of our upcoming album Spectre of Devastation! The album was recorded earlier this year with our own Fredrik Wester at the helm and Flemming Rasmussen doing the mastering. The cover artwork was masterfully done by Andreas Marschall and sets the mood of the album on the spot.”
As the fog rises the rivers of blood will burst their banks, and the world will drown in their own decline. With each release in more than 15 years of activity BLOOD RED FOG more and more cemented their status as constantly fascinating, ever genuine force of darkness that nourishes itself from the eternal black flame. The band's fifth album "Fields of Sorrow" is yet another, maybe their most impressive evidence of how excellent these men connect skillful songwriting and a state of being deeply lost in a possessed, trancelike state of creativity. Over the course of more than 50 minutes each of these five heavily grievous songs, framed by intro and outro as well as pierced by a psychedelic intermezzo, breathes manifold moments of cold majesty and contagious gloominess, confidence and profoundness, obscurity and passion, shadows, misery and pain.
AITHEER is a progressive metal/rock outfit formed in 2017 in Vantaa, Finland. AITHEER is Niko Löfman's solo project, but has visiting session musicians as recording and live performers.
The drive to write music upwells from a desire for expression, from need to structure the outer and inner world, and from a will to learn about the harmonic elements through trial.
It is a way to rediscover deeper self by following musical intuition.
It is a way of processing phenomena, experiences and the reasons that act behind them through art.
AITHEER's first Ep ''Sleeper'' was released through Distrokid service on 27th of January in 2020 in Google play, Itunes, Spotify and Youtube.
AITHEER's plan for the near future is to head to a studio in the fall of 2020 for a four song Ep, and aims to find a record company to release their Sleeper Ep in a physical version, as well as the upcoming Ep. AITHEER is achingly heading towards the live performances to represent the songs from ''Sleeper'' as well as some of the new unreleased material.
Hailing from USA, ULVEN debuts under the wings of Morbid Chapel Records. Black Metal in its performance is an atmosphere of death given both in strongly brutal riffs, but also showing the second face of the band - the melodics covered in a murky shroud. The musical annihilation was captured here on an unholy portrait, and the canvas was stained with blood in euphoria full of icy coldness.
DIABHAL is an American death metal band from New York that started in 2019, started by vocalist and guitarist Tameem Shaker of the technical death metal band Necropia and guitarist Miguel Rodriguez of the crossover thrash band Enemy of the State, soon recruiting bassist Jonathan Rizzo also of Enemy of the State and drummer Ricky Rizzo of blackened punk band Zombie Culture, grindcore band No More Victims and Enemy of the State to complete the line up. Diabhal’s music is a blend of uncompromisingly ignorant old school death metal, blackened death metal, and deathgrind with horror themed lyrics all with a New York death metal attitude. DIABHAL’s first album M M X X was written and recorded between May 2019 and June 2020 at Tameem’s home studio in New York and was first intended to be a 4 song demo. However during the writing process, it was clear that the songs deserved more backing, thus M M X X was conceived. DIABHAL are currently working on new songs for their sophomore release due next year.
CHANCROID – BESTIAL PERVERSE OF THE ANOMALIES PSYCHONEUROTIC
LABEL: BRUTE! PRODUCTIONS
RELEASE DATE: JULY 2020
Dark cellars and darker intent, the smell of rot so thick it coats your tongue. Lost hope and the residue of agony hang heavy in the air, entwining in the putrid atmosphere with the ghosts of blood, sweat and excrement. In the warped mind of its predatory inhabitant the shadows cloak a glorious kingdom of power and domination, where the downtrodden and abused is now overlord supreme; in reality those shadows hide a shameful, sordid pit of cruelty and inadequacy, of directionless vengeance for a thousand childhood tortures borne in tearstained silence. And soon the broken beast will return, with another receptacle for his rage and in the twinned realms of reality and dream the killing will continue...
Hailing from Indonesia, where the underground music scene teems with sounds of insane brutality and extremity past the point of reason, CHANCROID’s deviant death metal stands out for its blood curdling bludgeoning - even amongst those rabid, gore hungry hordes. A miasma of filth and horror hangs over their music, tainting the listener with its poisonous, perverted touch. To listen to their full length debut album, Bestial Perverse Of The Anomalies Psychoneurotic is to be absorbed into a nightmare of violence and terror so overwhelming that it’s only with repeated listening that the mind is able to appreciate the wicked precision of the tumultuous riffs, the furious bombardment of the drums and the guttural grotesquery of the vocals. Beneath the scabrous, infection ridden outer skin lies a death machine of formidable power and dexterity. CHANCROID’s sickening debut makes the majority of brutal death metal simply redundant. If you’re looking for the ultimate in disturbing, violent heaviness why would you accept anything but the most extreme expression of those twisted qualities?
Brute! Productions welcomed CHANCROID into their sanctuary for deviant souls and are now sending the elixir of fear that is Bestial Perverse Of The Anomalies Psychoneurotic out into the world; to hunt, to rage, to torture and kill. This album will infect your soul and pollute your senses with an oppressive darkness that will leave you gasping for air and begging for release.
Line-up:
Wira - Vocals
Hendri - Guitar
Arief - Drums
Genre: Brutal Death Metal

ANGEL RISING is a melodic death metal project initiated in 2018 by guitar player Listenangel. He was originally invested in his youtube channel « listenangel » born in 2010 and specialized in guitar shredding, virtuosos guitar solos, tutorials and heavy metal original instrumentals. Thanks to the success of the channel (more than one million views and thousands of subscribers) famous drummer Kevin Talley (who played for Dying Fetus, Suffocation and many more) contacted him and offered his services. Years later it gave birth to the song « From the Grave To The Light », track number three on the album. Between 2018 and 2020, Listenangel composed and recorded seven more tracks, playing all instruments and vocal parts with the help of two talented and experienced metal vocalists : Hermyth and M Fox singing additional vocals on tracks two, three and five. On april 18th ANGEL RISING’s self titled first album was released on all online legal platforms. It is to be noted that this is not Listenangel’s first album, he was already lead guitarist and composer of the french heavy metal band « Blind roller » whom first album « God sun » was released in 1998 produced and distributed by the label Brennus Night and Day. The press reception was very positive at the time, « Hard Rock Magasine » which was number one paper magazine in France even wrote about him that « his solos followed the steps of the greatest virtuosos ». After ten years of existence and hundred of shows in France the band split up and Listenangel focused on composing and recording for his youtube channel. Since 2018, he put the channel on the side and gave all his musical energy in creating the sound of ANGEL RISING, wanting it to be a mixture between primal brutality and technical melodicity. The best is yet to come.

THANATOPSIS Announce New Album "Initiation" + Streaming Single "Embodiment"
Extreme Metal Music is proud to announce their latest signing of California's THANATOPSIS for the release of their debut album "Initiation" due out October 23, 2020 to follow their four independently released demos between 1993-1997.
After a hiatus, 3/4 of the band has reunited along with the new addition of drummer Jason Borton (Jungle Rot, Arkaik) to offer their debut full-length, which features past recordings that are given a second life and a chance to be heard by a broader audience along with new unheard material. The album was recorded at Trident Studios with renowned producer Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Testament, Machine Head).
The overall album experience shares eight old school thrash/death metal influenced tracks that are an emotionally twisted ride of violently catchy brutality. With themes that include corruption, occultism, murder, revolt, and loss of faith, Thanatopsis delivers an album that keeps the listener engaged from start to finish, with a sound unlike any other.
The album's first single "Embodiment" is a heavy groove song with the chorus featuring an interesting interplay between the guitar and bass as Thom Hall and David A. Couch utilize counterpoint to create a sonic element designed to put the listener into a state of vertigo. The lyrics are based on a personal account of vocalist John Bishop, as he searches for faith and comes up empty.
The band comments: "It has been a long time in the making and we are very excited to present to the world the first official full-length Thanatopsis album “Initiation”. This album contains timeless songs that fans, both old and new, will appreciate. Bringing our sound to the masses has been a collective dream of ours for a long time. In a scene that is saturated with bands, we are proud to release something that is unique in character to the metal world at large."
