Zen Disdain began as an ambitious studio project, born from a desire to create dark metal unbound by the constraints of any single subgenre. The band's sound is defined by powerful, expressive vocals and intricate drum arrangements, blending diverse influences to craft a style that’s as haunting as it is dynamic.

Formed in 2021 by the creative minds behind the symphonic extreme metal band Esperoza, Zen Disdain quickly expanded into a full band, drawing talented musicians from different bands. Since its inception, Zen Disdain has made waves in the metal scene, starting with the release of their debut EP, “Premonition”. The band has already performed extensively in their country, the Netherlands, but in the fall of 2024, they took things to the next level with a tour through Eastern Europe, bringing their sound to even more fans.

On December 12, 2024, Zen Disdain will unleash their highly anticipated debut album, “Inanition”. With plans for tours and festival appearances throughout 2025, the band is poised to captivate new audiences and solidify their place in the metal world.
