Romania's BLOODWAY cement their relationship with I, Voidhanger Records by releasing “A Fragile Riddle Crypting Clues”, the closing chapter of a trilogy which started in 2014 with the “Sunstone Voyager And The Clandestine Horizon” EP and continued the following year with the band's first full-length, “Mapping The Moment With The Logic Of Dreams”. Lead by Costin Chioreanu, one of the most celebrated graphic artists within today's metal field, BLOODWAY blend black metal, progressive metal, heavy rock and psychedelia in equal parts, forging a very peculiar style that revolves around deep emotions and dark inner visions, exactly like Chioreanu's surreal art.

“In this new chapter the same character from the previous albums returns to the world of humans, but with a different and larger perspective, animated by his experiences and mental transformations,” Chioreanu explains. “The world is nothing but a prison, with virtual walls risen from the controlled collective intellect, where all the prisoners are locked in by themselves. Everyone is free to go and live outside the so-called system, but nobody really wants to leave the cells for the unknown.” It's a concept made of disenchantment and melancholy, and yet the album is more aggressive than BLOODWAY's past material, as well as extremely dark. “In this prison, our character buries his achieved illusions about humanity and rediscovers memories from childhood,” Chioreanu continues; “he is attacked by chimeras, fears imposed by will, but at the same time he reaches illumination by simply accepting reality in it's complete and horribly deceiving splendor. So he realizes that everything is nothing but a matter of perception.”

From the lyrical perspective, “A Fragile Riddle Crypting Clues” is BLOODWAY's most introspective record, one that truly investigates Costin Chioreanu's spirit, as underlined by two intense spoken words recited by Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) and Mat McNerney (Hexvessel). “I never spoke straight about my personal experiences and personal life the way I am doing now,” he says. “I felt truly free and confident with myself doing this record, and that fueled its specific nature. I think our goal as a band was to bring into this world a very special record, by all means. I am deeply confident that we succeeded.”

Once again recorded and mixed at Priory Studios by Greg Chandler, the new CRUCIAMENTUM track shows the progression and advancement the band have taken since their colossal debut LP “Charnel Passages” with heavier tones and a more progressive and calculated approach to the songwriting. The band’s take on the cult Absu track is also a worthy observation with the band interpreting the track with their signature sound and vibe.

Deep within the tenebrous bowels of a dark and decrepit castle was it that the black ritual was undertaken. Assembled there were four of the worst sinners this world has ever known, utterly profane and perverse: The Warlock, He of the Blasphemies… Alucarda Bellows, She of the Devil… Esteban Walpurgis, He of the Evil Rites… and Baron Blood, He of the Flesh & Blood. A blood-red full-moon hanging in the benighted sky, they began the unspeakable ceremony. Mercyful Fate and Bathory albums were offered unto a flaming pyre, as were the celluloid artifacts of Jess Franco and Paul Naschy. Once some esoteric incantations in Latin and Sumerian were uttered alongside the spilling of hot sacrificial blood did that loathsome quartet play the notes known but to the most impious and obscene. And it was then, at the foreboding stroke of midnight, that the shuddersome fiendish spectre did arise from out of the stygian void: the VAULTWRAITH!

While its ominous conception dates back to 2012, it was not actually until the untimely death of that legendary underground warlock, Jim Sadist of the infamous NUNSLAUGHTER, that VAULTWRAITH truly arose from the netherworld. Before his death, Sadist had been in talks of joining the Devilcraft Cult, and it was indeed those dangerous meetings that conjured the very soul of the thing, bringing infernal life to what had been, before, but a formless nightmare. Now sworn to an unwholesome and unholy pact with devils, witches, and all that is supernatural, VAULTWRAITH was begotten upon the summer solstice of 2016. Inspired by those masters of classic ‘80s metal such as King Diamond, Iron Maiden, and early Metallica as well as the heavier occultism of Celtic Frost and Nocturnus, it evinced an otherworldly marriage of furious heavy metal guitars, dueling monstrous extreme metal vocals, and keyboards straight out of a Hammer Horror film. The result of all this utter devilry was black hymns that not simply dripped with a palpable atmosphere of unadulterated evil but that were hauntingly melodic, as well.

The very first manifestation of VAULTWRAITH's malevolence came in the form of the Wrath of the Wraith demo in late 2016, and it was this tape that seduced obscure label Turanian Honour Productions to arrange a split 7” with, so very apropos, NUNSLAUGHTER, this to be freed from Hell sometime in 2017. But it was those maniacal overlords of underground death and black metal underworld, the one and only HELLS HEADBANGERS, who did behold the true potential of that Devilcraft Cult and offered to unleash their full-length masterpiece of aural horror, Death Is Proof of Satan’s Power.

INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS are a UK based band who play a style of music that they call Saturnian Black Magick. Their music is firmly rooted in black metal, executed with a rock and roll attitude and with clear influences from classic heavy metal acts such as Iron Maiden, and Motorhead, as well exemplified in their previous EP, "Crux Lupus Corona", released in 2014 by I, Voidhanger Records.

After starting to perform live in 2015 the band have played a string of successful shows including two special guest performances on Mayhem’s recent De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Tour.

Their live shows are incense filled, blood-drenched musical assaults that evoke an otherworldly, dark and mysterious atmosphere, an atmosphere which is in keeping with the overtly adversarial intent of INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS and their mysticism laced, death venerating song lyrics.

In 2016 the band travelled to Stockholm, Sweden to record their second full-length album, "The Crowning Quietus", with Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio, known for producing classic recordings with bands such as Ofermod and Watain. The result was a resounding success, INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS produced a record of arguably their most refined and potent music to date, and with the assistance and expertise of Tore Stjerna they managed to capture the necrotic and violent atmosphere the band create when performing in a live setting.

"The Crowning Quietus" is due to be released on October 31st 2017 on CD and vinyl via I, Voidhanger Records and Invictus Productions respectively. In late 2017 and 2018 INCONCESSUS LUX LUCIS will be touring to support the release of the new album.
