From the ashes of the Thrash TRIAKANTHOS project, Nico and Alex decided in 2009 to continue the adventure, and completed a line-up by finding Franck on guitar, Tom on bass and Alban "Shamane" on vocals.

The foundations of a solid band resolutely oriented towards old-school thrash are laid.

The band makes its first concerts in very modest rooms but keeps a steady rhythm. The arrival of Pierre to replace Franck gives a more technical and ambitious direction to the sound, without leaving aside the brutal violence and they continue to scour the halls of the Paris region (in particular the Bastille Stage) with a few dates in the south of France.

The style becomes more complex, going from a thrash inspired by the great classics of Metallica or Megadeth and Slayer, to the most violent fringe of the first Kreator or Sepultura, passing by some more groovy forays like Testament or Pantera.

Finally in April 2013 the 1st album of DEAD TREE SEEDS (Seeds of Thrash) is released.

Following this album, Pierre and Tom decide to leave the band to devote themselves to other projects, both musical and family.

2014, Aurelien (guitar) and Sidi (bass) joined the band, followed by numerous concerts almost everywhere in France with in particular the first part of Angelus Apatrida

2016 marks yet another change following the departure of Alban in Germany and that of Nico for musical differences.

Dead Tree Seeds continues its journey and composes 8 songs in order to prepare the recording of the 2nd album in line with the first.

At the end of 2017 Ivanne on guitar and at the start of 2018 Frank Vortex on vocals joined the band with directly 3 concerts in 2018 including the first parts of no return, Mercyless, Insanity Alert ...

In early 2019, Ivanne left the band for professional reasons and was replaced in the process by Francois.

April 2020, the group signs with the Music Records label for the release of the 2nd album "Push the Button" scheduled for July 2020 (digital) and October 2020 (physical).

AUTOPSY RELEASE VIDEO OF FULL HELLFEST 2017 SHOW

Thanks to French ARTE Concert we can now enjoy the full concert that death metal masters AUTOPSY delivered in the 2017 edition of the Hellfest. The band had many releases to support with their show: the "Skin Begins to Rot" box set, the "After the Cutting" compilation, a split with BLOODBATH and the EP "Puncturing the Grotesque". The band´s lineup for the show was: Chris Reifert on vocals and drums, Eric Cutler on guitars and vocals , Danny Coralles on guitars and Joe Allen on bass. You can check the show below these lines.

PSYCHOÏD is a Thrash Metal band where they distill Thrash, hard-line, old school with a touch and a modern cadence.

PSYCHOÏD causes torrents and destruction of rooms.

PSYCHOÏD, originally from Paris, was created in 2006 with a first line up that made the band noticed in the region which allowed them to share the stage with some national bands.

The change of line up paused the band but in 2015 PSYCHOÏD came back with a new line up and their first EP "Thrash Test".

The French media welcomed "Thrash Test". PSYCHOÏD defended the EP on stages and rebounded with their first album "Thrash Impact" which was recorded at Track Down Music, the recording studio of Music-Records. The album was released in April 2018. The album was very well received, welcomed by the French and European press, whose February issue of Rock Hard magazine placed the band as "discovery of the month".

From there, PSYCHOÏD fiercely promoted this new album on stage.

In 2020, Music-Records reissues the album "Thrash Impact" with new mixing and mastering, pending the new album.

The album, part two in the BULL ELEPHANT trilogy mythos, picks up where the debut ended. The eponymous creature, originally resurrected to fight occultist Ahnenerbe SS just before the outbreak of world war, has been destroyed and reconstructed into human form; then placed into the care of a renegade ape. The child’s witch-mother sacrifices herself so the duo can escape and they live in exile for several years, attempting to remain hidden from the enemy.

Meanwhile, Nazi Germany and Allied forces fight battles on two fronts: in conventional theatres all over the world and as a secret war for control over supernatural powers that neither fully understand.

Eventually, after being discovered and temporarily under siege, our heroes are compelled into action; launching a campaign to harness nature against the worst of mankind’s impulses; which now includes reanimation at a mass grave site of an undead legion in service to the Reich. The ultimate renewable human resource.

As with the debut album, think of the background concept as Raiders of the Lost Ark set to a doom-tinged heavy metal soundtrack where Judeo-Christian mythology is replaced by the even more sinister universe hinted at in the writings of H. P. Lovecraft.... with Nazi zombies, assault wolves and a battle-armoured whale that makes Moby Dick seem tame.

Tracking of bass and drums, mixing and mastering was executed by Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Cathedral, Ghost) at Orgone Studios, Bedfordshire, UK; while guitars and vocals were recorded at various bunkers around the UK.

The album will be available from Bandcamp as a 24-bit download. The accompanying physical release is a mini gatefold CD with artwork booklet giving more insight into the world of BULL ELEPHANT.

SHRAPNEL STORM ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM + "VISIONS OF VIOLENT PAST" VIDEO

Finland's old-school death metal bulldozer SHRAPNEL STORM have announced their sophomore self-titled album, which is set to be released on August 21st via Great Dane Records.

 

The band has released a new video for the track "Visions of Violent Past", which tells an interesting story about post-traumatic stress disorder.

 

Vocalist Ville “Yka” Yrjola comments on the new single: “The story behind the song lies into a repatriated soldier, who has sort of “inverted” PTSD. Rather than resting at home, he wants to be back to the frontline in the middle of death and physical conflicts, because it's is the only place where he can feel alive."

The song is about that moment in a given relationship when doubt starts to creep in, when you recognize the warning signs and you realise you’re repeating a pattern which has led to failure in the past, revisiting the ghosts. Visually we gave the artist free reigns to create their own vision based on the lyrics and feel of the song."
