"'Melancholia' is a dark (and maybe the saddest) song on Grim, yet it is also very powerful. In my opinion, it also contains the most beautiful guitar solo of the album. 'Melancholia' is the name of a blue orb which provides magical powers to the protagonist Luna. In the song, Luna sees into her past through the orb and learns what has happened to her. She lives through her longings and loneliness once again."

"While we stayed in the abyss these last months we followed the dark path to the light fearless and confident..."

WOLVENNEST were started in 2013 by Kirby Michel, Corvus Von Burtle  and Marc De Backer. It proposes a compositional process of guitar loops, repetitive beats, synthesizers keys mixed to darkened hypnotic ambient vocal sounds. Their debut album (2016), featuring Der Blutharsch and The Infinite Church Of The Leading Hand members Albin Julius and Marthynna as guests and co-writers of the album, was described as a mix of 70's Krautrock psychedelic sounds mixed with early 90's Norwegian Black Metal, the whole unfolding like a swirling movie score.

Their second album "Void" (2018) channelled a more dark energy with mysterious vibes, and brought the Nest in the most occult festivals and places of Europe such as House of the Holy, Chaos Descends, A Thousand Lost Civilizations Brussels festival, Roadburn Festival, Sauzipf Rocks Festival, Invoking the Ancient Ritual, as well as supporting acts such as Wolves In A Throne Room, Dool, Electric Wizard, Urfaust and many others. The album artwork cover painting named "Uni" was offered by  musician/artist Bobby Beausoleil and worked perfectly with the occult and ritual musical approach of the Nest.

April 2019 saw WOLVENNEST performing the album "Void" live in its entirety for a unique show on the mainstage of Roadburn Festival with an exclusive line-up made of Shazzula (vocals/theremin), Michel Kirby (guitar), Corvus Von Burtle (guitar), Marc De Backer (guitar), John Marx (bass), Bram Moerenhout (drums) , DéHà (vocals) and lead member of The Ruins Of Beverast Alexander Von Meilenwald (vocals) as special guest . All the visuals were made and screened by A Thousand Lost Civilizations, and are part of the Nest since the very beginning. In the meantime WOLVENNEST brought out an exclusive 3 song EP named "Vortex". From that moment the Nest followed their ascension of shows all over Europe and joined in February 2020 bands and close friends Dread Sovereign and Saturnalia Temple for a ten days tour which ended by a special night at venue Ancienne Belgique, an ultime occasion for the Nest to record the "Ritual MMXX" live album in their hometown Brussels.

In March 2020 WOLVENNEST started the recordings of their third full-length album, at the beginning of the pandemic which was diving humanity in obscure days and an unprecedented situation. For this opus every member injected soul, heart, sweat and opened the gates of their temple with songs as "Mantra", "Swear to Fire", "Disappear", "Succubus" (featuring a collaboration with TJ Cowgill from King Dude on vocals) and "Souffle de mort", which is closing "Temple" with an ultimate witchy occult ceremony moment.

On February 11, Dutch metal veterans COUNTESS will release their long-awaited new full-length album, entitled ‘Banners Of Blood'.

'Banners Of Blood' is the band's sixteenth full-length and features twelve tracks of uncompromising metal music, blending first wave Black Metal and traditional Heavy Metal in a way only Countess can.

The albums features two songs in Dutch and, for the first time, a song in Russian: 'Ledovoye Poboishche' ('Battle On The Ice') tells the story of Alexander Nevsky's great victory over the crusader knights in 1242 CE.

The new album also marks the first appearance on a Countess full-length of guitarist Valgard and keyboardist Häxa. 

Fans can get a first taste of the new album as of today. A digital single has been released for the song 'Last Man Of Honour'. This song was inspired by the life of Saigo Takamori, who is often considered to have been the last true samurai and who was born on this day in 1828 CE. Max starts playing electric guitar at age 16, when he discovers heavy metal music and bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Ozzy and many others. After many small cover bands, in 1999 Max founded “Dragonhammer” with his friend Gae Amodio. The good feedback of the demo tape “Age of Glory”, helps the band to sign with Legend Music / Elevate Records and to publish in 2001 the debut album “The Blood of the Dragon” with which they settle in the power-metal scene of these years. Followed by other successful albums with Dragonhammer: Time for expiation (2004), The x experiment (2013), Obscurity (2017). In 2016 he participates as special guest in the legendary Vivaldi Metal Project of his friend Mistheria. In 2018 he participates as a special guest in the excellent album by This Void Inside: “My second birth my only death”. In October 2018, Max left the band due to the impossibility of following the band in live performances and for personal reasons, although Max was always the author of all the music and lyrics (except in 2 songs) and the artistic ideas of Dragonhammer. In March 2019, Max founded a new band called “Aguzzi”: Sings and plays guitar in new style, new ideas and more hardness! An amazing line up with: Emiliano Cantiano on Drums (Shores Of Null, Ivory Moon ), Fabrizio Sclano on bass (Ivory Moon, Too Left 2 Be Right), Alessio Erriu on Guitar (Novembre, OA-ex Ossimoro).
