EVERLUST, gothic rock / melodic metal band from Latvia, will release their sophomore full length album “Diary of Existence” on May 7th, 2021 via Wormholedeath on all digital platforms worldwide.

Band Comment:

The album will consist of 11 compositions, which are like different diary entries. The album describes the feelings of a person writing a diary. The mood is mostly melancholic in songs like “Land of Dreams”, “I Never Was” and “Alone”, which are heartbreak ballads about loneliness and unrequited love, even a little mystical “Despair” filled with more aphetic feels. There is also energy driven philosophical song “Running” which is about being alone in a crowd and running from oneself, lustful song “Everlust” and bipolar “Destroyer”. The band also made their version of famous Sam Smith’s song “Writings on the Wall”. “Diary of Existence” will also feature a duet song “Entwined” with Finnish band’s LAMORI front man Matias Juselius, which is also a romantic ballad about sick relationships.

Biography

EVERLUST is a gothic rock / melodic metal band from Riga, Latvia. Their music can be described as melancholic and romantic. They sing about love, passion, heartbreak, misery, death. Besides, they are the only active gothic band left in the Baltic region at the moment with strong influence from bands like “Draconian”, “Theatre of Tragedy”, “Charon”, “Paradise Lost”, “Sentenced”, “Lacuna Coil”, “Trees Of Eternity” and more.

In 2020 EVERLUST signed a record deal with “Wormholedeath” records label from Italy. The new album “Diary of Existence” was recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered at Titans Lab Studio (Ferrara, Italy). Produced by Carlo Bellotti and Riccardo Daga.

The legendary symphonic heavy metal band is back with their new album, 'Symphony of Good and Evil' , which will be released worldwide by Brutal Records , on March 19, and in Brazil it will be distributed by Voice Music .

"The symphony of good and evil' is a conceptual album, based on the idea of the conflict between good and evil within the human being. Hevilan “Symphony of Good and Evil” is an album that contains more than its share of battering rhythms and finely honed, razor-edged riffing, the vocal acrobatics of Alex Pasqualle are solely in the spotlight on compelling symphonies of sludgy, operatic metal like the monstrous leadoff cut "Dark Paradise" and the chillingly thunderous "Great Battle".

The chunky riffing, heavy character and the grit in some of the vocals definitely place HEVILAN more towards the modern heavy prog symphonic metal, but at the same time the melodies, the very good use of a choir and the dynamics and energy clearly show that their roots are firmly planted into the traditional heavy/power metal soil of Brazil. And if Hevilan’s sound would have to be condensed into one word, then “powerful” would probably one of the first ones to come to mind, because the riffing is nothing short of punishing and stands closer to heavy metal than symphonic metal most of the time.

When HEVILAN get going, though, they really go at it, like powerful “Rebellion of the saints”, speed hammer “Devil within part I & II” or the excellent ballad “Always in my dreams”, where the Brazilians prove that they don’t have to hide behind anybody.

We’re proud to announce the release of emerging USBM entity Labored Breath’s towering debut album "Dyspnea", to be released in early April on LP, MC, and digital formats.

Thirty six minutes of soul-destroying evolved black metal, "Dyspnea" is the towering debut offering from this new Oakland CA-based one-man black metal entity, a project conceived as unapologetic devotion to the moment of reckoning of one's ultimate finality, and as a conceptual aural evisceration of mankind's minuscule and pathetic existence within the blink of an eye of an infinite, eternal void. The literal medical definition of gasping for air as the final breath appears at the horizon, and of finite stubborn existence attempting to subvert the infinity and inevitability of death, "Dyspnea" is a harrowing trip deep inside humanity's biggest fears and its all-encompassing insignificance. It is the moment of realization and the crippling instance within one’s existence in which the immensity and omnipotence of death pierces the final and most armored under layers of consciousness and denial and stares at the human being straight in the eye to make it kneel in the shadow of total unavoidability. Bridging the spellbinding atmospherics and evocative power of Icelandic black metal (Sinmara, Carpe Noctem, Misþyrming, Svartidauði) with the crushing violence and brute antagonism of French black metal (Aosoth, Drastus, Antaeus), Labored Breath has created an intimidating and majestic black metal crucible that shape-shifts and morphs in perpetual motion, stirring an immense sinister aural maelstrom of tenebrous surrealism and masterful sonic destruction as ultimate and supreme homage to the omnipotence and splendor of our endless Destroyer.

The brainchild of SF Bay Area-based solo musician JK, Labored Breath is the artist's sonic interpretation of the slow and inexorable claiming of death. The idea and concept for the project came to into JK’s mind during the time of self-seclusion imposed by the COVID pandemic, and the times of uncertainty, pessimism, fear, and death which ensued from it worldwide. As a skilled and highly proficient multi instrumentalist, the obligate isolation and lack of opportunities to make music with other people pushed JK to finally pursue a long planned and fully self-exectued solo project with no other instrumentalists involved. It is not purely coincidental that the album is titled “Dyspnea", like the condition which plagues people with difficulty breathing, as the COVID pandemic primarily resulted in widespread respiratory symptoms worldwide, as such the project is a true snapshot of the artist’s reality and of its most harrowing and demoralizing possible outcomes and developments. It is a reflection on death in a time in which death entered everyone’s consciousness and every day reality. It is the onset of reckoning, the moment in which the end comes into sight for the first time in a person's life. It is the total and unmistakeable first manifestation of death to the living, and Labored Breath explores this concept sonically via the implacable and merciless life-devourment of black metal. Aside from the aforementioned French black metal and Icelandic black metal, Labored Breath remains a purely USBM-bred entity with an almost encyclopedic yet defiant approach to the craft, and a strong penchant for unpredictability and unorthodoxy. Bands like Nightbringer, Ruins if Beverast, Blut Aus Nord, as well as certain strains of European funeral doom and death metal are also skillfully referenced or hinted at in the songwriting without ever becoming overly obvious structural identifiers, leaving the project perpetually shrouded in a profound sense of shapeshifting ambiguity.

MURKOCET is an American heavy metal band based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Formed in 2013, the band's debut album Digging Mercy's Grave was released on January 14, 2017. In the midst of the blistering Texan summer of 2009, STEEL BEARING HAND arose from an insatiable thirst for vengeance against all interlopers, blasphemers, and desecrators of Metal. For several years, they waged war in the trenches of house venues, warehouse spaces, and dive bars across America, honing their craft. Finally, in 2015, they released their self-titled debut album, followed by a few tours. Parting ways with their co-founding drummer in 2016, 2017 was spent whetting the blade anew. With their noses to the grindstone, they produced a more refined sound, entering the studio in the summer of 2019 to capture this ultimate incarnation of the band’s character and personality with the fittingly titled Slay In Hell full-length.

Engineered and mixed by Irving Lopez (Morbosidad) at Anomalous Mind Engineering and mastered by Jack Control (Cianide, Darkthrone, World Burns To Death, Totalitär) at Enormous Door Mastering, Slay In Hell comes adorned in the diabolic cover illustration of VRUGARTHDOOM and vomits forth six hellish hymns that pay their respects to the masters – namely Celtic Frost, Slayer, and Autopsy – while maintaining a singular unholy vibe.

MALICE DIVINE RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "QUANTUM MANIFESTATION"

Toronto's one-man act Malice Divine, created by ex-Astaroth Incarnate guitarist Ric Galvez (also seen as a contestant on  Banger TV’s Shredders of Metal  Seasons 1 & 2) recently unleashed this past February his debut self-titled album. The record is an excellent example of time spent during the Covid-19 pandemic being put to good use.

The full length showcases nine eclectic tracks of black, death, and thrash metal along with a tinge of classical guitar. For session drums Ric Galvez was joined by Dylan Gowan (Vesperia, Iomair) where they recorded at Monolithic Productions in Oshawa, Ontario with Tyler Williams beginning in January 2020. After the recording process had concluded, the album was re-amped and mixed by Tyler Williams and then mastered by  Lasse Lammert  (Demons & Wizards, Alestorm, Gloryhammer) of LSD-Studio in Germany.

The lyrics explored on the self-titled album are actually quite personal and deal with Ric Galvez’s thoughts and feelings regarding his life experiences. They are an outlet for self-expression, while also exploring topics such as spirituality and psychology with an underlying theme of personal empowerment.

Today, Malice Divine shares more insight into the album with the release of the new lyric video for the track "Quantum Manifestation" via its premiere on MetalInsider   . 

"Quantum Manifestation is one of the fastest songs on the album. It's packed full of different elements that are integral to the sound of Malice Divine, such as virtuosic guitar solos, savage blackened death metal riffing, blast beats, epic melodies, and a beautiful classical guitar section," adds Ric Galvez.
