SUSPIRAL RE-RELEASE "DELVE INTO THE MYSTERIES OF TRANSCENDENCE"

PRESS RELEASE:

Galician psychedelic black metal conjurors Suspiral announce a glorious and much needed reissue of their immense and highly overlooked 2016 debut LP “Delve into the Mysteries of Transcendence"  via Sentient Ruin with an official release date set to April 2 2020. All formats are now (pre)ordeable on our webshop and Bandcamp.

Finally available again in its ultimate and most destructive form, "Delve into the Mysteries of Transcendence" gets remastered, re-designed, and re-packaged for Sentient Ruin, a revisitation aimed at celebrating and rediscovering one of underground black metal's most unique, underrated and feral releases. Influenced by some of the most savage extreme metal progenitors like Beherit, Necrovore, Morbid Angel and Sadistik Execution, and fueled by overwhelming consumptions of psychedelics, "Delve into the Mysteries of Transcendence" is an abhorrent trip deep inside the psyche's most deconstructed and annihilated states, where a psychoactive and aberrant strain of raging atmospheric black metal serves as the primal hallucinogen to obliterate consciousness and dissolve reality in a violent and and feral ritual of total aural disassociation.

Originally released in 2016 on vinyl by now defunct Spanish label Equinox Discos, and on CD by I Voidhanger Records, with this new Sentient Ruin reissue, this unforgivably underrated experimental black metal masterpiece sees its first ever release on cassette format, while entirely new and restored digital and vinyl products are offered with remastered audio and a brand new graphic layout that consecrates and re-enhances the immensity of one of extreme metal's most overlooked, obscure and devastating hidden gems.

Galician mystical black death sorcerers Suspiral were formed in 2014 by A.T. (Sheidim, Black Earth, Krossfyre) and M.S. (Arkaik Excruciation, Sudaria, Scythe), after the duo had envisioned a black/death entity of otherworldly and alien traits dominated by two opposite but coexisting souls: on one side the raw and unforgiving darkness and aggression of bands like Thou Shalt Suffer, Necrovore, early Emperor and Satyricon, Katharsis, Sadistik Exekution, Beherit, Samael, along with the repetitive, vorticose and abstract patterns of more ritualistic, trance inducing, and meditative entities like Ash Ra Tempel and other Kraut and drone bands on the other. The improbable sonic design was meticulously planned and executed by the duo and that same year their debut EP Dawn of Kezef saw the light spawned in a wake of ruinous black/death destruction set against a chasm of disorienting and sensorially devastating psychedelic patterns and repetitions. The rawer sound of this debut EP soon evolved into what became their mind-alterating debut album Delve into the Mysteries of Transcendence, released in 2016 on famed Italian extreme metal label I Voidhanger Records. While maintaining its devastating black/death metal assault, Delve into the Mysteries of Transcendence, was an album cloaked in otherworldly and enveloping atmospheres and drenched in mystery and alien psychedelic mysticism, conceptually rooted in experiences with psychoactive drugs as a means of transcendence, and more specifically with experiences obtained under the influence of DMT. The band’s second full length entitled Chasm is slated for a 2019 release on Sentient Ruin in the USA and Clavis Secretorvm in Europe, and is yet another sensorially devastating work which further dramatizes the band’s innate and ever-evolving duality of unrelenting and lawless black/death sonic annihilation juxtaposed to its deeply mystical and entrancing atmospheres.

CATHARTIC DEMISE RELEASE DRUM PLAYTHROUGH VIDEO FOR "BLADE IN THE DARK"

PRESS RELEASE:

Kitchener (ON) - Progressive Death/Thrash Metal quartet CATHARTIC DEMISE have released a drum playthrough video for the song "Blade In The Dark," the second single from forthcoming album In Absence. The video features Angus Pike and can be viewed at youtu.be/PLXYCnYPfBM

CATHARTIC DEMISE will release full-length album In Absence on April 9. Pre-order at: catharticdemise.bandcamp.com/album/in-absence

In comparison to the band's self-titled EP, In Absence still consists of the Melo/Prog/Death Thrash Metal elements, but with a more "mature" approach. The overall musicianship within the band improved, as well as the overall songwriting capabilities. In Absence features the same aggression as the self-titled EP, but brings an intense atmosphere with extreme tempos, and brisk riffs. This release heavily carries on the epic melodic sections heard previously, and even going further with more complex song structuring and longer tracks. Aside from the aggressive side of things, hints of experimentation can be heard, showing slower sections, and clean parts as well.

"A masterclass in classic progressive thrash music offering a unique sound that only Cathartic Demise can offer."

BIO:

The thought of Cathartic Demise came into fruition on October 8, 2017, after high school friends Angus Pike (drums) and Bennett Smith (guitar/vocals) jammed for the first time, and immediately decided to form a group. Bennett had demos previously prepared, (two of the EP songs) and the week after Aaron Tanner would join the lineup, following a few weeks with Taylor Wroblewski (guitar) quickly completing the quartet. The four rehearsed immensely over a eight-month period landing their first show September 16, 2018. In December of 2018, the band entered into HM Studio, to record the self titled three-track EP Cathartic Demise, released April 26, 2019. For the rest of the year, the band played around Ontario, and in January 2020, Cathartic Demise would begin the recording sessions of In Absence.

TRAUMATOMY RELEASE "EXTIRPATION PARADIGMS" + TRACK STREAM

PRESS RELEASE:

Ripping its way into these troubled times comes the brand new, full length album from infamous Russian slam squad, Traumatomy. It may have been six years since they last released an album, the pummelling brute force of Monolith Of Absolute Suffering, but as soon as Extirpation Paradigms begins to deliver its payload of power it’s as if they’ve never been away. You want absolute bestial brutality? You’ve got it!

Since their first EP release, Transformation Into A Putrid Mass, back in 2013, Traumatomy have been renowned for vomiting up some of the sickest slams around – and now they’re back with their heaviest album yet. Extirpation Paradigms is an exercise in barbarous, nihilistic, death metal destruction. Ever present vocalist, Haruka Kamiyama (ex-Gorevent) has been joined by Traumatomy’s live vocalist Kirill Zarubin to form a two-headed blood-gargling beast in the vanguard of the band’s attack, while behind them new songs like first single, ‘Patterns Of Tyranny’, armed with bowel-bursting riffs and skull cracking blast beats, show no mercy. When ‘Filled With Abhorrence’ hits it’s like being hurled into the path of an onrushing truck, then ground beneath the tracks of a bulldozer and final song, ‘Epitome Of Depravity’, featuring a guest vocal appearance from Defeated Sanity man Josh Welshman, ensures that no one gets out of here alive.

With the additional muscle of Gore House Productions now behind them, Traumatomy are ready to bludgeon the opposition into dust. When Extirpation Paradigms hits the streets on May 7th, adorned in the insane artwork of Daemorph (Avulsed, The Black Dahlia Murder, Pyrexia etc) nothing will stand in its way. Brace yourself for impact...there’s a storm coming.

Get your first taste of Extirpation Paradigms today! The title track is streaming at Kronos Mortus News right now! Follow the link and prepare for total destruction!

Nautical folk metallers Storm Seeker present their new album 'Guns Don’t Cry' via NoCut Entertainment, in addition to unveiling several videos in a row. The latest is 'Shoot This Ship Down', following the unveiling of both a lyrics video and official video featuring Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen for their latest single 'Deathwatch Beetle Party'.

The Düsseldorf pirates have also released the sea shanty 'Wellerman' on Spotify and Apple Music after a real boom via TikTok, where the song has inspired millions. Apparently this 19th-century sailor's song speaks to many in pandemic times. Storm Seeker's 'Sea Shanty Folk Version' was even briefly featured on NBC news regarding the revival of sea shanties. As a result, they've also just shared a new 'Randy Dandy Oh Sea Shanty Session'.

Music adventurers can expect the full explosion of nautical chants with a vintage sailor look and a new approach to their trademark folk metal sound. With their nautical theme, they serve up a rough and crushing soundscape that is entangled with the sweetness of jumpy folk melodies involving the hurdy gurdy, nyckelharpa, cello and recorder.

"Guns Don't Cry' is our third studio album, where every song is carefully selected and crafted with a passion for detail that lies in the small melodies and instrumental parts. Between the music and these lyrics, we take you on a joyful adventure through the winds and waves of the seven seas," says Stom Seeker frontman Timothy Abor.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by co-producer Marius 'Olaf‘ Bornfleth, this album includes 11 stellar tracks that will take you on a voyage to abandoned shores through winds and storms. Epic battles and mysterious creatures await you, featuring terrific Nyckelharpa and Hurdy Gurdy Solos, fiddley Accordion parts, crushing guitars and thunderous drums.

This time around, frontman Timothy Abor’s rough sailor voice finds accompaniment by some surprising guest vocals as Seeb of Orden Ogan, Mr. Hurley (Mr. Hurley und die Pulveraffen) and Teufel (Tanzwut) lend their epic voices to tell some nautical tales bound to give you crawly goosebumps and crazy neck pain!

Storm Seeker's 2016 debut 'Pirate Scum' EP was followed by steady European gigs amd major festivals. The debut album 'Beneath in the Cold' LP (May 2019), amped things up, bringing them a roaring year, touring with Haggefugg and Vogelfrey and their spring 2020 signing with NoCut Entertainment. Then, despite closed ports all over the world, they faced the storm together, playing shows with MONO INC. all over Germany.

The journey of the small Storm Seeker ship, with its five-member crew, has led them from small harbours, with their unique mix of classic metal ensemble and melodic traditional instruments, to chart completely unknown waters in Germany and Europe.

On March 19, 'Guns Don't Cry' releases in North America on physical media and is already available digitally worldwide and physically in Europe. There is a vinyl edition plus a 6-sided Digipak available, in addition to a limited fan-box containing the album, a high quality embroidered handkerchief, a lovely band-poster and signed autograph card, which can be ordered directly from No Cut Entertainment.

MALFORMITY RELEASE NEW TRACK "MONUMENT TO DECAY"

PRESS RELEASE:

Atlanta (GA) - Death Metal journeymen MALFORMITY have partnered with Toilet ov Hell for the premiere of "Monument to Decay," a track from forthcoming album Monumental Ruin.

"Monument to Decay" (Exclusive Premiere)

toiletovhell.com/premiere-malformity-has-constructed-a-monument-to-decay/

MALFORMITY will release long-awaited debut album, Monumental Ruin, April 19 on CD, digital, and cassette formats via Unspeakable Axe Records. Pre-orders are available now on Bandcamp and through the UAR Store.

It has been a long, torturous road for the veterans of Atlanta death metal band MALFORMITY. Formed initially in 1991, when their own genre was still in its infancy, they created only a handful of demo recordings before calling it quits four years later. A long-overdue reformation happened in 2014, after which the band produced a couple of EPs and honed their craft.

At long last, 30 years after the band's initial formation, MALFORMITY have produced a monstrous debut album, complete with the suitably forbidding title of Monumental Ruin. Literally decades in the making, this beast shows the band at their sharpest and most evolved, mixing American and European death metal styles with a sure hand. Incorporating grind and doom influences where appropriate, Monumental Ruin is every inch the ancient, towering structure depicted on its atmospheric cover art. This is death metal old in spirit as well as in the age of the band that made it, but with a clear, current-day production and youthful vigor and brutality that keeps pace with any act you might name.

Unspeakable Axe Records is proud to unveil Monumental Ruin on CD and cassette this April, with a vinyl release set to follow in early summer.

Track Listing:

1. And I Beheld...

2. Perverse Apotheosis

3. Facemelt Bloodgrinder

4. Into Ruin

5. Monument to Decay

6. Degenerative Sequences

7. Immolated Archetype

8. False Dichotomy

9. Lost Necropolis

10, Lifeless Mindless

11. In Corrosion

12. Rapturous Damnation (bonus track)

13.Unraveling (bonus track)

BIO

Originally founded in 1991 during the peak of the original wave of death metal, Malformity play death metal reflecting the classic Swedish and Florida sounds of that era. Further shaped by influences in grind, thrash, and doom, Malformity create a uniquely brutal and cerebral sound in the Atlanta metal scene.

MANNTRA RELEASE "MONSTER MIND CONSUMING"

PRESS RELEASE:

Mystical goth-rock outfit Manntra has released their cracking album 'Monster Mind Consuming', the second English-language album from frontman Marko M. Sekul and his warriors.

Mysterious. Powerful. Magical, here Croatian folk influences merge with metal and industrial to create a perfectly staged, highly independent musical symbiosis. Reaching a new dimension in the dark circus, Manntra is a thrill to experience live, the band's sound is unmistakable - A little Rammstein, a little Eisbrecher, plus a Balkan touch in the style of System of a Down. An exciting storm was evoked, which has the potential to lodge itself in many different ear canals.

“This is essentially a war album. A battle cry for life. It covers topics like fear, war, being strong and going through a difficult time or heartbreak, being a slave to your fears and being set free in the end. It's a war against your own insecurities; a war against yourself - and we want you to win this fight! It's about every single fan and listener of the album. It's an album by people for people," says Manntra vocalist Marko M. Sekul.

"We gave this album our all. We created different songs, tried new things with production and wrote the most intense and darkest songs ever. For me, this is the real face of Manntra - A dark journey through folk, industrial and gothic."

From epic, powerful to overwhelming, brute and full of longing and pain, the band has been periodically dropping potent tasters of this epic emotion-filled efolk-metal masterpiece, including singles 'Heathens', 'Barren King', 'Slave' and 'Ori Ori', casting a real thunderstorm of sound, and 'Voices of The Sea', with its more traditional bent.

Written collectively by the band and produced by Sekul, this is a harmonious representation of all five members. Summoning a storm of excitement, their music has enormous earworm potential.

'Monster Mind Consuming' is available across online stores and streaming platforms, including Spotify. It can also be ordered on CD and as a limited fanbox.  The band will also be touring later this year with dates indicated at http://www.manntra.hr/#tour

PESTILENCE TO RELEASE "EXITIVM"

PRESS RELEASE:

A new album, on a new label armed with a whole new line-up and a new dynamic: no matter what, PESTILENCE or more specifically their maestro Patrizio Mameli are like the phoenix, rising from the ashes, over and over again. Three years after ‘Hadeon’, the band and their totally revamped line-up – besides former Dew Scented and Creepmime Joost van der Graaf on bass and Bleeding Gods’ Rutger van Noordenburg on lead guitar, former God Dethroned Michiel van der Plicht joined on drums last year – not only prove to be worthy of its golden legacy but actually deliver with ‘Exitivm’ what is probably their best incarnation in over a decade, with the kind of instantly recognizable sound that will immediately make all ‘Testimony Of The Ancients’ fans drooling with anticipation while proving they’re not a nostalgia act but are living in the now.

Recorded over two months last summer and armed with the crispiest production they’ve ever had, their ninth full-length is titled ‘Exitivm’ for a reason. Meaning ‘brutal destruction’ in Latin, those ten new tracks (plus one intro and one outro) are brutal yet progressive, drenched in a sci-fi atmosphere and transfigured by Mameli luminous solo work and subtle keyboards layers. Both a reinvention and a confirmation of everything the band has been standing for since 1986, thirty-five years later PESTILENCE are more than ever exploring the further outposts of the extreme metal sound on ‘Exitivm’.

BEHIND THE HORROR RELEASE DRUMCAM VIDEO FOR "WRATH"

PRESS RELEASE:

The two brothers Gabriel (guitar) and Lucas (drums) Alves, have been on the road as Behind The Horror for a long time and we too had the honor of presenting this up-and-coming formation of metal from New Jersey in the United States several times. In fact, their mix of styles between progressive and thrash metal has so much potential and has always been able to convince us. Now drummer Lucas Alves gets in touch and gives an insight with his new drumcam video for 'Wrath' from their first EP " ...And The Horror Begins ". What is fascinating is that all of the material is on an Alesis Strike Proplays. In the past, some metalheads like to turn up their noses at electronic drum kits. But here Lucas Alves plays a kit that you don't notice the synthesis that is triggered by the so-called pads and at the same time proves that even metal drummers can go crazy with an e-drum! Lucas Alves shows his skills in this video and plays the drums with aplomb to a song in which Behind The Horror comes out as a serious competitor of Metallica . The band stands for uncompromising Thrash Metal and you can hear this again in this song, which is once again a testimony to the fact that Behind The Horror live the Thrash Metal.
