Remember, remember, the Fifth Of November? Last autumn, British metal legends PARADISE LOST exorcised the demons and ghosts of a dreary dry spell without concerts and thrilled the world with their stunning livestream "At The Mill". Today, the band is proud to announce the captured testimony of this special night to be relaeased as live album on July 16th!

Captured at The Mill Nightclub near the band’s hometown in Yorkshire, England, the recording of the BluRay was directed by Ash Pears, who previously worked with the band on their music videos for ‘Medusa’ and ‘Obsidian’. Mixed by Les Smith and mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano, the audio version of the show will be available in various formats including CD, Blu-Ray and different vinyl colours.

"Due to the ban on live music, we, like many other bands, have had to adapt and do something we never thought we'd have to do”, reflects guitarist and songwriter Greg Mackintosh on the release. “No, not stacking shelves in Aldi like Metallica, but playing a show at a disused mill in Yorkshire with no one else there. We decided against trying to pretend there was an audience in the room with us, opting instead for a rather moribund version of a live lounge show. Whilst never being pleased with anything, we were however slightly less miserable at the result. It was also almost fun playing some of our new album Obsidian within the set for the first time too. We can now announce that we will be releasing this show as an official CD/Blu-Ray and vinyl imaginatively entitled At the Mill.”

Sentient Ruin is taking part in the abominable birth of dutch extreme doom experiment Coffin Lurker, whose overwhelmingly crushing debut LP "Foul and Defiled" is set to be released in June on LP/MC and digital formats worldwide.

Formed by Maurice De Jong AKA Mories (Gnaw Their Tongues, Cloak of Altering, De Magia Veterum, Dodenbezweerder etc.), and Rene Aquarius (Cryptae, Dead Neanderthals, Imperial Cult, Plague Organ etc.), Coffin Lurker is a repulsive experiment begotten unto a perverse delusion of ushering doom metal beyond extremes of heaviness and horror it has never before seen or fathomed. Overwhelming and abominable in its every aspect, on their hideous debut LP "Foul and Defiled" the dutch terror-doom duo set out on a mission of terrifying extremism to take doom metal to its most harrowing consequences, crossing every threshold of extreme known, to materialize a humongous slow moving nightmare of paralyzing and horrific doom metal horror that will flatten the listener and devour them inside a nauseating void. Emanating with a monstrous and oppressive aura of total death and decay, "Foul and Defiled" is a gargantuan sepulchral abomination of subterranean megaton doom rising from an underworld of ageless and unnameable death and suffering that sonically aims to re-evoke the hideous and death-obsessed immensity of other undreground extreme/experimental doom abominations like Moss and Grave Upheaval, while taking the heinous formula, if possible, even beyond its own already incomprehensible and remote confines of sanity.

A taste of the destabilizing album has been brought to us via an exclusive premiere of the track “Of Suffering” at iconic underground metal blog Last Rites, who in reflecting on the albums absurd heaviness and ugliness have aptly remarked that “‘Foul And Defiled’ stylistically nests itself snugly between the juggernaut crawl of death/doom, the ritualistic atmosphere of primitive black metal, and the dirging, somber tones of funeral doom. A new era, the third if you'd like, is here.

Ten years ago, Djevel burst into the Black Metal scene with the debut "Dødssanger". With a fierce, raw energy and a breathtaking, ominous melodic touch, the trademark sound of the band had been placed.

Now ten years into the story, the band have kept the sound and spirit, but evolved through three stages of new musicians being added to the signature riffs of main composer Ciekals, developing the music to new heights, while still maintaining the sonic outlet that identifies Djevel.

So here we enter the third era, where Ciekals and Faust (ex-Emperor, Blood Tsunami) have been joined by new vocalist/bassist Kvitrim (Vemod). This new constellation of the band have built the bands 7th album "Tanker Som Rir Natten", an album surpassing all what they've done before, and opening some new ideas within  both production and composition. The raw feeling is still intact, and the acoustic elements have returned. But the eerie, haunting atmosphere have grown stronger, making it the most varied output from the band thus far.

"Tanker Som Rir Natten" will be unleashed for the public in spring 2021.

VALLENDUSK RELEASE "HERALDS OF STRIFE"

Vallendusk is a melodic/ Epic Black Metal band hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia. The band was formed in 2011 and consists of vocalist & lyricist Rizky (ex-Valefor), lead guitarist/main songwriter Valendino Mithos (ex- Bloody Gore, ex- Funeral Inception), rhythm guitarist/songwriter Danang Sugianto (ex-Valefor) and drummer Derrick Prawira (FromHell, Proceus).

The band cites the mid-90s wave of Black Metal, Melodic Death Metal and doom as their main source of inspiration, both musically and aesthetically. They also draw influences from classical, ambient, martial hymns and folk music of all kinds.

Since Indonesia is still considered by many to be the most low-key country and geographically disadvantaged on the global Black Metal map, as anyone can imagine, there aren't many (maybe any?) independent metal record labels in their home country that market/distribute their releases overseas. Therefore, shortly after completing their self-titled debut EP in late 2011, the band realized how important it was to sign with a well-known label in the genre, as it would help them so much in making people aware of who they are and what they do. The band was actively self-promoting their music during this time, which led to a deal with the Chinese label Pest Productions.

In 2012, the EP was released and received good responses from listeners and critics alike. A year later, the critically acclaimed debut album "Black Clouds Gathering" was released, leading to huge feedback and interest from all over the world. Two years after the highly acclaimed "Black Clouds Gathering" the band signed a contract with Northern Silence Productions. The band's second album "Homeward Path" was then released in June 2015, delivering a more complex and dynamic album that still retains soul and character like its predecessors. It's about daring to push things a little further than people expect without losing yourself.

It has always seen the nature of the band to take things a step further with each album. They want to see every album as an individual point of musical evolution, a link in a chain that hopefully leads to new ideas later on. Thus, the third album “Fortress of Primal Grace” turned out as the band’s strongest output so far. Listening to this 60 minutes-album felt like running ten kilometers but with the excitement of pure joy. There are many remarkable passages on the album which lift the songs to a completely different level. All the riffs and melodies are flowing, extrapolated from each other, building and releasing their energy, moving through ups and downs with smooth joints & breaks in between, and climaxing several times.

With the latest, their 4th album, entitled "Heralds Of Strife", Vallendusk once again created a triumphant and uplifting album that is more optimistic in approach and delivery than your average Black Metal release. The songs are classic-styled Melodic Black Metal, but with a modern, somewhat brighter sheen than normal, allowing the band to bring in their own personality and individuality, distinct from so many others.

The first press of the CD comes as Collector’s Edition in digipack with 8-page booklet, limited to 1000 copies. The cassette tape is limited to 100 copies.

Hailing from Indiana, Death On Fire push the boundaries of the death metal genre by taking inspiration from a wide variety of sounds and compositional styles. Originally formed in 2016 by frontman Tim Kenefic, the project soon diverged from its initial intentions and began thriving in the underground metal scene with live performances. To date, Death On Fire have opened for the likes of Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals and Obituary.

Following the release of their 2019 single ‘Killing Time’, and the 2020 LP release ‘Ghost Songs’, Summer 2021 sees the next chapter in their discography with the upcoming release of ‘Six Foot Box’. The three track EP delivers an overall dark, heavy mood with each song embodying a unique aspect of their progressive sound. The title track cultivates a haunting atmosphere with a slow tempo, alluring dissonant lead guitar melody and raw emotional vocals. There is a distinctive Gothic twist as the chorus soars with a mixture of contrapuntal melodies exploring light and dark tones. By contrasting major elements with the minor tonality, the sound gains an uncanny edge. It’s a compositional technique that throws the listener by challenging what feels natural in the context of the sound. ‘A Hell of Our Own Design’ deviates in style to deliver explosive energy, intricate leads and heavy distortion. Before ‘Begging for Air’ dramatically unfolds with droning guitars and intricate riffs. This track is intense, distorted and a little disorientating; it experiments with progressive techniques in their composition to produce an apt sound for the disturbing theme.

Death On Fire venture into unconventional soundscapes to create something that is raw and haunting. The dark deathly themes that run through their music are elevated and the dynamics of their sound deliver a theatrical, aural experience.

Cradle of Haze: New album with old line-up! German gothic rockers "Cradle of Haze" release "Zehntausend Seelen", their 14th studio album. "Zehntausend Seelen" comes with eight crisp and to the point, straightforward gothic rock/gothic metal songs. The lyrics are as usual morbidly gloomy and describe once the dark sides of the humanoid being, primal fears, emotions and desires, socio-critical aspects as well as inglorious characteristics of the human species. Here, too, the true messages of the songs are not always clearly discernible and leave room for the listener's own interpretations.

"Zehntausend Seelen" will be released on May 21, 2021 and is available for download and streaming.
