SEEKING SIRENS RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR "SURFACE"

High-energy metalcore four-piece Seeking Sirens,have released a video for their song "Surface". The ambiance-heavy single, tastefully blends elements of rock and soul with bone-crunching riffs, head-nodding rhythms and soaring choruses.

The band comments: “The single speaks to the sense of loss we all feel as we navigate our lives, struggling with the hardships of letting the wrong people in as we each endure the solitude of our existence. It crescendos in the affirmation that we all must move forward, and try to find our path in life without losing who we are along the way.”

The band formed after a long-awaited collaboration between lead guitarist /recording engineer Kevin Wilson with master facilitator and maniac vocalist Joseph Izayea. As a duo, the two artists recorded a slew of singles throughout the pandemic, slated for release throughout the year. Drummer Andy Jolliffe and bassist Ryan Lambert joined the fray to round out the roster and bring the concept to life. The result: a coupling of massive guitars and vocals with an energy that shakes with in-your-face-rhythm and a powerfully subtle groove. 

As proven by their work ethic and determination to succeed, coupled with their high-intensity and commitment to their craft, the band will continue to utilize their creative prowess as they release more content in the coming months. Despite the lack of shows, Seeking Sirens will continue to carve their own path with more singles and videos as they find their place in the post-pandemic music scene.

CONQUERORS RELEASE "STORMBRINGER"

 

PRESS RELEASE:

CONQUERORS was founded on July 13, 2013 by Morty (guitar and vocals), Hordos (drums) and Ottar (bass).

The band's first self-produced EP, “Deceptive Condolences”, was released in March 2014.

With the release of the first album "Conqueror" in April 2015, CONQUERORS takes a turn that will direct him to his current style.

Ottar left the band at the same time and CONQUERORS played for several years as a duo.

Anfauglith joined the project in May 2018 on bass and then on drums from December 2018.

The band's second album "Dawn of War" was released in February 2019 and definitely marks the style of CONQUERORS: Brutal Black Thrash Metal.

Ottar returns to his bassist post in April 2019.

In September 2020, CONQUERORS and the MUSIC RECORDS label begin their collaboration. The album "Dawn of War" which was re-recorded for the occasion, as well as the band's next album, "Stormbringer", will be released on May 21, 2021.

At the same time, Conquerors will reissue the album "Dawn of War" with a new mix.

HUNDRED HEADLESS HORSEMEN RELEASE "APOKALEPSIA"

Hundred Headless Horsemen is a psychedelic death metal band hailing from Helsinki, Finland. Their first full length, a concept album titled “Apokalepsia” will be released through Inverse Records in collaboration with Särö, a record label affiliated with the band, on 21 May 2021.

The band blends together different subgenres of metal from current and past time frames to create their own unique brand of psychedelic death metal. Their musical approach mirrors the background narrative of the album, that moves in multiple time and space dimensions based on fragments of scientific articles found about a formerly unknown psychoneurological condition. It is now time to step into the uncharted territories of the map.

Hundred Headless Horsemen will perform Apokalepsia in its entirety from their secret hideout on 22 May 2021 at 8pm Finland time (EET). With this performance, they aim to create a rupture into the known dimensions of time and space and to present the viewers with a glimpse of the reality beyond the familiar, in the realm of Apokalepsia. They will be aided by the inimitable VJ Hellstone and our maestro of lights Blitzlicht, who will provide the visual clues on our journey into the unknown.

HIC SUNT DRACONES

Apokalepsia is a group of symptoms characterized by recurrent seizures. These episodes can vary from brief and nearly undetectable interludes to long periods of vigorous shaking, hyperventilation, suffocating despair and a failure to function in a world defined by its imminent devastation. Apokaleptic seizures have a tendency to recur. Many victims also describe vivid visual and auditory hallucinations during apokaleptic seizures. The journal entries of these formerly unknown cases tell much about the inner struggles of the victims:

“The momentum that upholds life comes from death, darkness and decay. No matter how delusional we become, our efforts will never be grand enough to transcend this circular motion. In a stark contrast to nature, the economy was always a fiction. A fiction that nevertheless had very real consequences to our lives, which have led us to the profound misinterpretation of its true from. The system we had built long ago is now eating us alive.”

“Many of us had bright ideas, but in the end, our egos were always standing between the ideas and actually living them. During times of crisis, we often found a way to look steadfast into the ray of light that shined hope into our isolated existences. Were we ever able to remind ourselves that the whole spectrum of life upon this earth was just as precious as our own? Or did we merely fall back to building fortresses against our own fears?”

Apokalepsia was concocted, composed and performed by Hundred Headless Horsemen at Sir Näs Studios in Helsinki, Finland. The band remains anonymous, but we were joined by Mikko Suikkanen on electric violin, Saergu on modular synthesizers in “The Road” and Titus on percussion on “The Road” and “Spleen”.

The album was recorded by Valtteri Virolainen and Titus, mixed by Valtteri Virolainen and mastered by Magnus Lindberg Productions in Stockholm, Sweden.

"Helsinki Ice Hall, what can I say... the very same venue where we used to see bands like Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Metallica and many many more back in the 80’s when we were kids”, Tomi Koivusaari contemplates when thinking of the show. “I’m sure we all dreamed about playing there someday. In our hometown Helsinki, where it all started with AMORPHIS 30 years ago. So I’d say we had a special feeling at that gig, the last one of the tour in Finland for that year. I guess this recording is a very honest picture of us playing live, nothing is fixed afterwards, except mightily mixed and mastered of course. When I listened to it a while ago, I realized how much I miss playing live. And yet we have no idea when it will be possible next, in this crazy situation with Covid and all... When it comes to contemporary thrash, there are few bands that can stand toe-to-toe with Germany's Vulture. Establishing their status with 2016's Victim To The Blade EP and 2017's The Guillotine, then cementing their reputation with 2019's Ghastly Waves And Battered Graves, they now return with the mighty Dealin' Death, one of the most ruthless records the genre has seen. "Take all our key elements - fierce riffing, halftone-shifts, aggressive vocals, huge toms, changing dynamics, horror-synths and classical twin guitar harmonies and cast it in a mould, then you have 'Dealin' Death'," says guitarist Stefan Castevet. "The result sounds a little 'back to the EP-ish' to my ears, yet it contains new approaches that we've never included in our sound so far, like choirs with harmonies."

When it was time for the band to head into the studio, the recording process was handled by two separate collaborators: the album recorded at Monkey Moon Studios in Dortmund by Alexander Stöcker, the guitarist of Stallion, while the production was once more handled by Marco Brinkmann at Hellforge Studio. "This cooperation turned out great!" enthuses vocalist Leo Steeler. "Alex's way of recording and the whole studio atmosphere was pretty motivating and inspiring for all of us. Marco, on the other hand, knows exactly how we should sound and already became literally the sixth member of the band." Working twelve-hour days for ten days straight was pretty grueling, their daily schedule "get up, track, sleep", but the effort paid off. "I think 'Dealin' Death' is the best we've ever sounded. The mix itself is absolutely flawless to my ears," says Castevet. "It's way more direct and less reverb-soaked than its predecessor. It was very important for us this time, to take advice from Marco and make all key elements audible for the listener. The vocals sound piercing, the bass is present, delivering warmth throughout the whole mix, and the guitars have the best sound we've ever had, and the same goes for drums. It's very natural and dynamic, but straight to the point." And now with everything done, the band are eager to get it out there. "We can't wait to get feedback for it, hopefully people will admire it as much as we do! Once the pandemic is over, we also can't wait to play shows and even tour again."
