Introducing Vanta, a metal duo of long-time friends from Budapest, Hungary. The band is named after Vantablack (One of the darkest substances known to man, absorbing up to 99.965% of visible light). The sound could best be described as an aggressive combination of sludge, stoner and doom. The tracks are spiced with odd time signatures (used recreationally) and a guitar tuned to the depths of hell. Vanta are constantly pushing the limits of their instruments experimenting with heaviness. Their new album Zero Kelvin, is seeking label support before announcing a release date.
Metal promoter Rob Hammer praised their song Erebos with the expression "ridiculously heavy". The main riff of another song called True Enemy has been characterized by Sleeping Village Reviews as "a gravel-crushing steamroller of a riff, plain and simple, and nothing stands in its way". The bands favorite composition called I'm The Ocean has been described as "a hypno-trip that introduces my brain to itself" by fan and fellow musician Crow Ballard.
"We have recently finished recording and mixing our debut album called Zero Kelvin. It is an important milestone in our musical journey, a six-piece collection that shows both our dark and beautiful side, and also our experience with anxiety and sorrow. We shot and published a music video for the title song. The album is going to be published this year, and we would like to organize a tour post-pandemic."

“Staring the Abyss” is about despair and loss, but it also paves the way for a fallback plan in which everyone puts their hopes.
After such a dark terrible loss for everyone, the band has decided to bring you a glimpse of light. This video captures very well the joy and excitement of what happened at our first post-pandemic live show. It’s hard to put into words the feeling of rediscovering what truly drives them.
In essence, this is what “The Far Star” is about: a journey, with terrible losses and majestic wins, but above all, it’s about never giving up.

In 2019, the Swedish power metal heroes MAJESTICA released their debut album "Above The Sky" and quickly followed it up with their Christmas musical album, “A Christmas Carol”, in late 2020. Both albums were a huge success in the metal community, but since touring became impossible during the COVID-19 pandemic, the band have found another way to give their fans an impression of their live power.
Today, MAJESTICA release their digital live single "Above The Sky In Tokyo", which was recorded at their last show in Tokyo before the pandemic hit. Featured are two very special songs: the sparkling title track of their first album, 'Above The Sky' and ’Welcome To The Theater’ from the REINXEED album of the same name.

While the pandemic paralyzed the entire world and prevented bands from touring, Latin America's biggest metal export SEPULTURA refused to sit back and act like an animal trapped in a cage. Like the flowers growing out of the deceased bird’s body depicted on the stunning colourful cover artwork by Eduardo Recife, the thrash metal pioneers from Belo Horizonte made good use of their unexpected free time to start a project that kept them busy throughout the entirety of 2020: Their new live album "SepulQuarta" will see the light of day on August 13th and the pre-order for this one-of-a-kind release featuring renowned guest musicians from all over the world is starting today.
„'SepulQuarta' was born at the very beginning of the pandemic when everything was halted”, guitarist Andreas Kisser remembers. “We had a new album out, but we couldn’t tour for it. Therefore, we created this recurring event where we could talk with our fans around the world, play our music and exchange ideas, it was a blast! »SepulQuarta« kept us alive and strong throughout one of the most difficult times in human history.”
Obviously, the Brazilian pioneers were not the only musicians feeling this way, so they started to connect with friends and colleagues worldwide and asked them to not only be part of their weekly podcast, but also join them in playing one of SEPULTURA’s classics tracks. From the safety of their homes, international stars like Devin Townsend, Scott Ian (ANTHRAX), Danko Jones, Matt Heafy (TRIVIUM), and many more recorded a SEPULTURA track together with the band, which have now been mixed and mastered by Conrado Ruther for release on jewelcase CD, recycled 2LP vinyl in black and marbled (Nuclear Blast + bandshop exclusive) and all streaming platforms.

Swedish father-and-son heavy metal duo, Trumbiten, have just released a new explosive lyric video. The video, which has premiered at Metal-Rules.com, is for “Beast of Fire” from Trumbiten’s first original EP, Emotions. The song is an expertly produced modern progressive thrash whirlwind of crushing riffs, punishing drums, soaring guitar solos and striking melodic vocals.
The band commented: “Our first original three-track album, Emotions, was released mid-May on streaming media. We are super happy that Metal-Rules is first out with the release of our lyric video — this is really awesome!!!”

Trumbiten consists of Tommy Arngren and his son Adam who, in collaboration with session musicians globally, create music that pulls inspiration from classic thrash, modern progressive metal and everything in-between. Their first EP of original music, Emotions, was released in May 2021. For this release, the duo worked with three female guest vocalists who added extra dimensions to the EP’s themes of hope and belief in oneself.
