Spanish masters of atmospheric doom death metal EVADNE are back with a new full-length album that marks a milestone in their musical activity. This is the most elaborate work of the band to date, with many emotions engrained. EVADNE's music has become even deeper and more sophisticated and, despite its genre; it exists out of time, combining the heaviness of metal and the transparency of symphony. It has everything to express emotions. And night falls here, and in the depths of shadows, the pale glow of fireflies is born. Carlin van Ross ( Remembrance, Lethian Dreams, Aythis ) and Jaani Peuhu ( Iconcrash) , worked with Before The Dawn , Swallow The Sun, To / Die / For, Thunderstone , etc.) took part in the album recording. Svante Forsbäck ( Rammstein, Entombed, Candlemass, 69 Eyes , etc.) from Chartmakers West studio was in charge of the sound on the album, and it is truly amazing! The album comes as a four-panel digipack with a twelve-page booklet. The visual part is represented by photos by Russian photographer Natalia Drepina , a psychologist of dark nature and deep images that make you comprehend the surrounding reality and explore your inner world.

CYPHONISM SIGN WITH BLACK SUNSET FOR RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM

Wolfsburg-based death metallers Cyphonism have signed with Black Sunset/MDD for their new album and will release the follow-up to 2016's "Obsidian Nothingness" this spring. Formed in the summer of 2015, by Jim Petigo, BS, and MG. Vanessa Grossberndt joined on vocals later. We released a demo in 2016, available digitally upon request. In the winter of 2017, MG and BS left, and we went into hibernation. In the summer of 2017, Brodie Wylie joined on guitar, and we released an EP, Cosmic Tomb in 2018, a split with Euthanized, entitled A Pact From the Grave in 2019, and we kept the momentum going. At the beginning of 2020, Brodie left, but was gracious enough to record the songs he helped to write for our full length, Manic Despair. The guitar parts for the rest were written and recorded by session guitarist Depresor. In September of 2020, we found a new guitarist in Joe Pacentrilli, with whom we’ve been practicing and performing material from Manic Despair, and the two previous releases, as well as writing new material for our next release.

The music available on "Gjennom meg går ingen til hvile" is in the style of the band's previous two singles. The album features a pretty big roster of session musicians, even more than on the first two singles. Some are amateurs, some are more known people.

Stein Akslen has done extensive field-recordings out in nature to supplement the compositions on the album. He comments: «That had me sleeping outside in the forests for a few nights to record an owl, and all other sounds - including wolves - are real. There are no samples at all on the album.»

He adds: «In total I have been working on this album for about 6 years now. There's a lot of memories tied up on it, and it will be dedicated in loving memory to those we have lost. Some of the lyrics on the album actually dates back about 17 years, so I've used this album to really go full circle.»

Produced and mixed by Stein Akslen at Hagall studios.

Recorded on various locations throughout the world.

All field-recordings done on location in Norway.

Prognostication is a one-man progressive metal project based in Mid Missouri, the sole member being guitarist and vocalist Allen Gingerich. Originally formed as an instrumental project while he was in high school with some friends Allen wanted to push the boundaries of the music that he was writing and wanted to step outside of conventional metal form and thus continued on by himself writing to his true musical vision. Heavily influenced by progressive bands such as Between the Buried and Me, Opeth, The Contortionist, and lots of tech death bands, Prognostication has music that utilizes odd time signatures, very technical riffs, long song structures, jazz breaks, shreddy guitar solos, and many other elements taken from the influences mentioned. Collapse was written, recorded, and performed all by Allen Gingerich with the sole exception of a vocal feature by a good friend Mark Sullivan in the title track. In the future Allen hopes to find members to bring the music he's written to play live and collaborate on future material as well. A follow up to Collapse is already being written and will have much more tech death influence taking notes from bands such as Necrophagist, and The Faceless and will be a concept album.

Black Canvas is Kill All The Gentlemen’s second full length effort, set for release via Sliptrick Records on February 1st, 2022. Once again, the band relied on trustworthy producer Chris Fielding of Foel Studio to mix and master the album, whilst entrusting artwork duties to the very talented macabre artist Jose Gabriel Alegria Sabogal.

The result is downright impressive: nine bone-crushing, heavy riff-infested tracks, with the addition of intricate arrangements and exquisite song writing which will catapult the listener into a dark, merciless netherworld true to the album’s title. “I guess you could say Black Canvas is about an over-tainted world. You see, when a painting starts off as a blank canvas, that’s the beginning. A perfect concept of nothingness, virgin and untainted. Then you start to add colour and depth (life, essentially). In this case it’s black, meaning it needs to be stripped back or reset” says founding member and frontman of the band Adam Martin. “and by the way, the band unanimously agrees that this record is even heavier than our previous release.”

The album features the singles Eyes of Medusa (with the addition of guest vocals by Grace Gillan) and a merciless rendition of The Pet Shop Boys 80’s classic It’s A Sin.

Ukraine's One-Woman Black Doom Metal Band SIDUS ATRUM unveil teaser from the upcoming album “Spiral Of Life”, which is set for release on March 11th 2022 on CD and Digital via Kvlt und Kaos Productions.

The project was originally formed in 2015 by Yulia Lykhotvor (music, lyrics, vocals).

“Spiral Of Life” features  guest appearance by Serhii Lykhotvor (Sad Alice Said, bass) who helped with arrangement and Daniel Neagoe (Clouds vocalist) who recorded vocals in duet with Yulia for the song “Rain Brings Your Voice”.

A video for the song “Fading Light” will be released on February 5, 2022 on the project’s YouTube channel and followed by a series of other videos in the upcoming months.

Sidus Atrum was founded in Kyiv at the end of 2015 by Yulia Lykhotvor who is a composer and the only member of the project. First album "Cold Silence" was released on September 11, 2019 at Loneravn Records. It contained 5 songs of blackened death doom metal telling the story about inner struggle and acceptance of one’s essence.

In 2019 Yulia Lykhotvor participated in vocal collaboration arranged by Death Doom band Clouds and in March 2020 the song “Path Of Sorrow” was released together with the studio video.

In 2020 Sidus Atrum released a single “Ghost Song – Lullaby Of The Lost” together with Margarita Arabadzhieva, a singer from Clouds Vocal Collaboration. Music was composed by Yulia Lykhotvor and lyrics by Margarita Arabadzhieva.

The main idea of “Spiral Of Life” is еру cycle of rebirths of the soul, its choice of incarnation in a mortal shell, life, death, and return to eternity.
