ABRASIVE was founded by Ralf Köhler (git./vocals), Alex Ringwald (bass/screams), and Alex Mäckle (drums) in April 1999! They combined the old-school-styled Death Metal sound with a piece of Grindcore and US brutal Death Metal a la SUFFOCATION or SEVERE TORTURE. The result was a grooving bastard of aggression and brutality with the typical ABRASIVE guitar lines. Ralf’s typical Death Metal growls and guttural style vocals, which are completed by the relentless screams of Alex became a trademark of the band. 

After several releases via NICE TO EAT YOU Records or MDD Records and countless shows and festivals (Soul Grinding, Mountains of Death, NRW Deathfest, Flesh Party Open Air, Exhume The Metal Festival) inside and outside Germany to spread the name of the band out to the world, 800 sold copies of “Desire” MCD (2001) and 1000 sold copies of each “Devotion” (2004) and “Awakening Of Lust” (2007),  ABRASIVE would establish themselves as a well-known band within the underground scene. The following releases “The Birth – Born In Sodom” (2011/MDD Rec.) and “Book Of Sin” (2017/RTM Prod.) confirm their status. 

The new CD “Edge Of Darkness” shows the most varied songs the band have ever written. The new tracks are darker and more intense than ever before.

IMMORTAL SYNN RELEASE NEW TRACK "WILL OF THE PEOPLE"

American heavy metal band, Immortal Sÿnn, has just released their newest single - a cover of “Will of the People”, by musician and political commentator, Tim Pool of the Timcast IRL podcast.

“Will of the People” is a highly relevant song outlining the power struggles among different political factions in society. Once one power rises up, it will eventually fall as a new one arrives to take its place in a never-ending cycle. The track was recorded at Rusty Sun Audio in Parker, CO with engineer Nick Nodurft. It was the final track to feature bassist Frantz Pierre, as he departed the band at the beginning of 2022. Immortal Sÿnn is a heavy metal band from Denver, CO. In a sea of modern cookie-cutter acts, the band tries to retain a more familiar and old school sound that propelled bands of the 70s and 80s to superstardom. DYING LIGHT RELEASE "FAR FROM LIFE"

The band came together in 2019 when Jeff and Jim met Shaun at a Godsmack concert through mutual friends. Conversation came up about original music and Shaun said he’d like to give the project a listen. Shaun was traditionally a thrash drummer, so the music and tempo was a bit different than he was used to, but he added something special to it almost immediately. Chris Fritz had already tried to hire Shaun for a cover band and found out he was joining Jim and Jeff for an original project. After listening to a demo of a few of the songs Chris quickly became interested. (Chris, Jim and Doug have all been lifelong friends since high school) Doug Edwards originally declined doing an original project but couldn’t resist joining the group. It wasn’t long after that the band release a 7-song demo titled Shallow Grave which can be found on all streaming platforms. After gigging the songs over the summer, the group got into some serious song writing and decided to put together an 11-song studio release. They teamed up with Charlie Berezansky of Rival Sound studio and laid the foundation of the album “Far From Life”.

Each member has its own list of influences, but the main song writers are influenced by Black Sabbath, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Soundgarden, Iron Maiden, Guns and Roses, and of course Ozzy.

The bands' philosophy is simple: "We want to write music we would listen to. Today’s commercial metal music market is flooded with a specific “sound”. It’s not a bad sound, but the era of music we loved is the 80’s and early 90’s metal style of music. We are trying to make music influenced by that era yet keep it modern. In doing that we have discovered a sound and style of our own. Please take a listen, hopefully you’ll enjoy hearing it as much as much as we enjoyed creating it."

Based in Hamburg/Germany, Virgins Of The Seven Seas combine different genres of stoner and punk-rock music as well as other musical influences to create their own unique sound. The band started in 2015 as a four peace outfit. Max (vox), Jamie (bass), Klaas (guit) and Sebastian (drums) were doing heavy jam sessions.

In those days they didn't had a name or an idea in what direction it will go. But always playing serious heavy tunes. These days the foundation was layed for the band of today.

During the jams it became clear pretty fast that they wanted to take the next step. They started to do songs out of their jam sessions. During the work on the songs for the 2017 released self titled EP - Virgins Of The Seven Seas, the band wanted to improve their sound and flexibility by a second guitar player and Stefan joined the band.

It was always clear that they follow a DIY approach and musically wise there was never a particular genre or direction they followed. The main focus was having a good time and making music with friends. All of this build the frame work for their work. They do want and like to play hard guitar music without compromise.

2018 the band faced another line up change as Ommid replaced the second guitar player and this change gave the band wider spectrum due to Ommids unique guitar playing. They started to jam a lot as all of them really enjoyed playing together and developed their own style, rearranged old stuff new and wrote new songs that were more stoner-doom orientated.

Since 2018 the band started to play regular live shows on their own or as a support and started to increase their level of awareness around the stoner/doom scene of Hamburg and surroundings.

All of the above build the foundation for their first longplayer BeDroCan. During the work on the album another line up change took place. Because the drummer needed to be replaced and Florian is droping the hammer since then. Florian took the drums to another level and it was clear from the first jam session that this fits pretty well.

The work for the LP BeDroCan was completed in summer 2021 and the record was digitally released in Oktober 2021 on all bigger streaming platforms. The CD and Vinyl release is planned and will follow in spring 2022.

Short after that The Sacrificed Tape was released on tape and digitally in January 2022. The idea of the tape arose, because the song 'Milk The Goat' on that tape, was originally recorded for BeDroCan, but finally the band decided that it didn't really suit the album and as this is a killer song, the Band decided to do a tape with that song together with a bunch of already recorded once.

Presently Virgins Of The Seven Seas are back in the rehearsal room jamming on new material for their next releases. And are of course looking forward to hit the stage again. Whenever the pandemic end's or the possibility arises.
