PURE WRATH - formed 2014 in West Java, Indonesia - is the soul-stirring atmospheric Black Metal project of multi-instrumentalist Januaryo Hardy.

A continuation of preceding EP "The Forlorn Soldier", 3rd full-length "Hymn to the Woeful Hearts" is a wounded, epically emotive exploration of timeless grief which ascends to the next level - simmering down past symphonics and ramping up the bitterness, aggression, textural dynamism and melancholic conviction.

Again featuring skilled and energetic guest drumwork from Yurii Kononov (ex-WHITE WARD), PURE WRATH have here produced their deepest, darkest, most organic and engaging work to date: perfectly balancing howls of primal rage with tear-stained, hymnal sung passages, simultaneously vicious and yearning guitar-work, poignant synth, evocative acoustics and heartfelt thematic realism.

BESNA RELEASE LYRIC VIDEO FOR "REVÚCA"

Slovak post-black metal band Besna has released the lyric video for the single Revúca from the upcoming release of their debut album Zverstvá, which is scheduled to be out on March 11, 2022.

"In our legends, humankind rarely witnesses the birth of the world - yet we tend to proudly boast we’ll be here to witness its end…"

Revúca means “wailing”. The song speaks about climate issues of our wailing planet and its relation to humankind. The track has a modern metal sound with post-rock and black metal influences. 

The lyric video was made by the video producer Dominik Kopec. Art used in the video was designed by the young graphic designer Tomáš Paulen.

The single is also available on the band's bandcamp and soon also on streaming services.

With his Pukewraith moniker, Brendan Dean takes the vomitous death metal sound that he explored on his debut demo (released by Gurgling Gore in 2021) and steps it up to a whole new level of rancidity. Intestinal Hex are one of the death metal underground’s best kept secrets. It’s unlikely the name will stay secret for long though. Daniel Bonofiglio (Gutvoid, Fumes, etc.) burst into the scene with his debut Intestinal Hex album last year. With the project, he churns out death metal that is as brutal as it is dark and atmospheric. A perfect combination of classic American and Finnish death metal sounds! Rather than do a traditional split EP where side one is reserved for one band and side two for the other, Pukewraith and Intestinal Hex leapfrogged their tracks on “Medieval Grime.” Each band offers up 3 songs each. The split begins with Pukewraith and then Intestinal Hex, back and forth with their unique styles, but unified under a single theme: medieval times.

I cannot recommend this split enough. If you are a fan of true, underground death metal, do not sleep on this! Everything is limited. All preorders will begin shipping in late March/early April.

On January 14th, 2022 internationally, PERSONAL RECORDS is proud to present NULLIFICATION's striking debut album, Kingdoms to Hovel.

Formed in May 2021, NULLIFICATION's brand of death metal is sure to bring destructive breakneck music to old-school listeners with their exciting debut album. Founded by Jayson Gonzales in his hometown of Bay, Laguna, Philippines, he initially wrote the materials for the album before he was later joined by Andrei Alemania on drums, Rozel Leaño on vocals and bass, and Jonathan Miranda on lead guitars — all current members of Desolator (Philippines) and Formless Oedon. The band finished writing, recording, and production of their debut album in June of the same year.

After its ominous intro, immediately upon pressing "play" to Kingdoms to Hovel, the listener will be transported back to glorious times — ancient days done with ancient ways. NULLIFICATION's attack is pure and true Metal of Death brewed in the cauldron of olde, with their foremost influences of Mercyless, Benediction, Demolition Hammer, Ripping Corpse, Morbid Angel, early Cynic, and Asphyx ringing loud and clear. However, the quartet are no mere plagiarists, and proudly contribute to this hallowed lineage with righteously ripping songwriting that's straightforward and fucking EVIL and a possessed & poisoned style of execution that literally sounds DANGEROUS. Deeply introspective and evoking hallucinatory darkness, An Evening Redness' self-titled debut is the newest release from Brandon Elkins. "S/T '' is a masterwork of diverse ambient doom and post-ambient composition, with the minimalism of Earth contrasted with passages that wouldn’t feel out of place on Jesu’s ‘Opiate Sun’. An ensemble of musical talents including vocalist Bridget Bellavia (BLKTXXTH, Piggy Black Cross), guest soloist Brendan Sloan (Convulsing), and session drummer Ryan Jewell (Riley Walker and many others) serve to underscore the drama and focused production contained within the album's six tracks. What ties the whole album together is an atmosphere that feels spiritually closer to a film score than what you’d expect from a solo record. After their debut full-length album, Puritan Masochism, took the entire doom and heavy metal scene by storm upon its release in 2020, critically acclaimed Danish blackened death doom outfit KONVENT returns with a sophomore offering that doubles down on the band’s songwriting talent and brutal, heavy sound!

The sonic evolution of KONVENT over the course of just two years is immediately evident on Call Down The Sun, surprising with new elements at every turn. Undoubtedly inspired by recent dark times, the ongoing pandemic and cancellation of live performances, the new album sees the Copenhagen-based band more pissed off, fast-paced and pitch black throughout. Rikke Emilie List’s guttural, sublime growls and fierce screams perfectly integrate with a heavy as hell wall of blackened death and funeral doom metal riffs from guitarist Sara Helena Nørregaard, backed by a thick, profound rhythm section provided by bassist Heidi Withington Brink and drummer Julie Simonsen. Tracks such as “Grains” – a ground-shaking, stomping black doom metal epos that will be a must-hear on KONVENT’s upcoming live setlists – showcase the band’s deep black soul with a hint of post-metal and even progressive elements. The new album, "Common Sense" is coming out on March 15 2022 through RipRide Records and distributed by MVD.

Chemicide started back in 2011 releasing their 1st EP titled Radioactive Annihilation. In April 2015 the band releases their first full-length "Episodes of Insanity" digitally through Bandcamp and shortly after, the album is picked up by Canadian label PRC Music to release on CD format. In 2017 the band hits the studio to record "The Act of Retaliation", the second full-length album, which allows the quartet to tour the northeastern part of Canada (Québec), a 10-day trek with local heroes Vortex.

In 2019 Chemicide releases their best seller to date, the “Inequality” album, selling over 3000 copies worldwide and the band went on yet again for a 13 date tour through Canada (Ontario, Québec and New Brunswick) and Mexico. COVID-19 stopped the touring plans for the band in 2020, so they went back to the studio to release 2 singles; an original titled "Uncertain Future" and a cover of Negative Approach’s “Tied Down”. The band went back to the studio in 2021, this time to record with Juan Pablo Calvo and for the 1st time mix and master the album with Argentinian artist and producer Martín Furia, who’s the lead guitarist for German Thrash Metal legends Destruction.

Their newest production is titled Common Sense and brings a raw sound combined with more aggressiveness and heavier riffs. The band went on signing with the new label RipRide Records, the new label run by Rémi Côté, co-owner of the now defunct PRC MUSIC label. RipRide is dedicated to heavy thrash and classic metal... which is keeping alive and well the strong relationship (more like a brotherhood really!) between Rémi and the boys in Chemicide.

This album was performed by Chemicide and recorded at Lúcuma Estudios and Apex Studios in Costa Rica, by Juan Pablo Calvo.
