The project was created in 2013 in Manizales, city of the Eje Cafetero, cradle of extreme metal in Colombia. Their material has been released by the most important record labels in Colombia: Brutalized Records and Hatewoks, played shows in cities around their country and Ecuador and in some of the most important metal festivals in their region. The band was elected as openers for prominent acts as Destruction, Tim Ripper Owens, The Haunted, Pungent Stench. Their material has been mixed and mastered by important musical producers in the international metal scene as Tomas Sogsberg and Andy Classen and their only professional video was directed by the most important horror director in Colombia Juan Diego Escobar. From the beginning THE SCUM has been strongly influenced by the horror genre in films and literature and the sounds of old school death metal. They have released an EP in 2015 called “Self-Destructive Race”, a debut album entitled “Ashen” in 2018 that was mixed by Tomas Skogsberg in Sunlight studios and an EP also mixed by Tomas Skogsberg and mastered at Stage One Studio by Andy Classen named “Dead Eyes” (2020). Guest vocal was by Dave Ingram (Benediction). A video was made for the title track of the EP “Dead Eyes” directed by Colombian most important horror director Juan Diego Escobar. New album “The Hunger” mixed again in Sunlight Studios.

MAN MACHINE INDUSTRY is the solo project created by producer/songwriter/front-man J. Bergman who has a history as the drummer in SLAPDASH (Nuclear Blast rec) and ROSICRUCIAN (Black Mark Prod). With the album “DOOMSDAY CLOCK“ 2020 GMR Music) J.B raised the bar as a songwriter/producer/musician and now MMI is back with a vengeance.” ESCHATON I. Reckoning Day” is the first one out of three EP/Mini-albums in the new Man Machine Industry album-trilogy. The trilogy theme are different and takes on ”the end of the world”. Not all of the songs carries the theme but the cover art and most songs do.

The three albums will also have a guest vocalist on one song each and on ”ESCHATON I” it’s none other than the legendary Mr. Dave Hill of the NWOBHM/Progressive Rock pioneers DEMON, who does a duet with J. Bergman on the song ”Information Overload”, co-written with another talented songwriter/producer, Erik Mårtensson of ECLIPSE.

Sacred Son return in 2022 with a new album, ‘The Foul Deth of Engelond’; a black metal chronicle of the 1381 Peasant’s Revolt. Weaving historical record with speculative inversion, the album recounts this fierce and tragic Great Uprising as a proto-revolutionary moment in English history that echoes loudly into our own toxic and fragmented present. The story is presented as inspiration and allegory, with principal songwriter, Dane Cross, describing it as his ode to righteous leftwing political violence.

‘The Foul Deth of Engelond’ marks a return to the expansive sound of their debut, whilst continuing the move away from the one-person insularity that began with the sophomore effort. The road-tested four-piece band was recorded in the cold dark winter of 2020 by tube-amp maestro Chris Fullard (Ulver, Sunn O)))), Boris) at the analogue-focused Holy Mountain Studios in London.
