The veteran Spanish Thrash Metal band RANCOR have just signed (again) with Xtreem Music for the edition of their 4th album that will be titled "Bury the World", scheduled for June 14th on CD and Digital formats.

RANCOR was formed in Madrid (Spain) in 1998, recording two demos in '02 and an EP in '06, to later release their debut album "Release the Rancor" in 2010, an EP "Raining Bombs" in 2013 and two more albums "Dark Future" (2013 - Xtreem Music) and "Evilization" (2017). During the year 2021 and the beginning of 2022, RANCOR has been recording their 4th album "Bury the World", for which they have just returned to Xtreem Music and from where they will continue to unleash their intense high-quality Thrash Metal that will surely please lovers of bands like VIO-LENCE, SLAYER, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS, ANTHRAX, OVERKILL...

“Red Death Masquerade” is here! Like the horrid nascent vampire plague it depicts, The Sixth Chamber’s new single is already out, leading a foray into the darkest depths of antiquarian New Orleans vampire lore.

The new video stars British vampire/fetish queen and gothic model sensation Dani Divine as she is stalked throughout the French Quarter and the eldritch cemeteries of New Orleans by a malignant vampiric fiend (played by extreme gothic couture and headpiece designer Loretta Vampz) in a lustful, blood-soaked tale of woe and seduction. Will her night of pleasure and prurient indulgence end in eternal horror and damnation? Are her fears real or simply her imagination?

Dani Divine has been a featured headlining burlesque performer and poster model for the Endless Night Vampire Ball events for the past few years along with performing fire spinning at Bloodstock Open Air Festival and other major events. She was also featured in the October 29, 2020 Rolling Stone article about the Vampire Ball and is an internationally known model and cover girl.

In an eerie twist of synchronicity, the “Red Death Masquerade” music video was filmed throughout the day on December 11th in New Orleans, at the exact day and time of famed New Orleans vampire literary giant Anne Rice’s death….in the exact cemetery that she would subsequently be buried in - Metairie Cemetery.

The video was directed by Mark Newton, who has worked in various roles on numerous film productions including Danzig’s Verotika; Timecrafters: The Treasure of Pirate’s Cove (starring Malcolm McDowell); and Death Rising.

The Sixth Chamber combines retro gothic metal, gothic rock and epic doom and has been a perpetual fixture on the Los Angeles music scene for the past 20 years, remaining steadfast and unyielding in its gloom.

In addition to being an extravagant designer of gothic and Dia De Los Muertos headpieces and costumes, Loretta Vampz was cast as a werewolf in the new Renfield film starring Nicholas Cage, filming has been underway in New Orleans.

MALEDIA Get Control Of Their Very Own ‘Phobia’

Italian metal group Maledia return with their new album Phobia containing nine tracks that deal with the sensations and emotions triggered by an event on a specific day of our life. Throughout Phobia, Maledia have decided to give a lot of space to electronic sounds, creating a very original and modern sound, while still maintaining the aggressiveness of the band. Also, in the song Defenceless, the group decided to have an additional guest on vocals in the form of Dave Shadow.

The band worked hard to find effective sounds and developed pleasant and melodic arrangement ideas to achieve the result of the current Maledia sound. The music is characterized and inspired by bands like Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames and Asking Alexandria to name a few and the sounds are a blend of industrial, heavy riffs and catchy melodies involved with electronic synths and modern soundscapes.

Phobia which was recorded and mixed in 2021 at the Breaking Sound Studio and mastered by Andrea Corvo at Synthesis Studio in Rome.

About the Album

Feral Lord have created quite a name for themselves, with their last album Purity of Corruption receiving both critical and general praise.

The black metal duo features the same lineup as Acausal Intrusion, Obsidian Hooves and Burial Curse, with LA’s Nicholas Turner (vocals and strings) and Gulfport’s Jared Moran (drums) joining forces once more. The duo has shown us time and time again that they are able to produce incredible music when their powers are combined.

The album is easily the duo’s most ambitious, covering all new territory from previous releases. The inclusion of numerous acoustic sections makes for a captivating listening experience. These segments are all the more impactful due to the dissonant harmonies that often straddle them. One moment you may have a harsh, assaulting segment that suddenly gives way to an unexpected atmosphere focused section of a track. The sudden change catches you off guard, but you appreciate the respite allotted to you before the song resumes its assault.

While being the project’s most ambitious and experimental release, there is also a sense of traditionalism that balances the album out. This is drawn from the duo’s choice to ground themselves in a strong second wave influence. The inspiration drawn from classic legendary black metal acts can be felt in the more harmonious, less dissonant sections of the album, of which there are numerous.

This juxtaposition of elements has resulted in the album feeling both familiar and alien, natural yet experimental. This ties into the overall theme of the album and its focus on extremes of existence. The duo wanted to focus on dichotomy with the release and they have well and truly achieved this. The constant balancing act between experimentation and tradition, melody and dissonance, atmosphere and aggression are a testament to this fact.

A pandemic can destroy a band or, on the other hand, it can strengthen it. The case of Galician grinders Mondo Podre is the latter.

Founded in 2016 after the dissolution of Kiste Sacro and having gone through a series of line-up changes, the Vigo band have a split recorded live with Brazilians Surra, a demo, and have played at Brutólogos XV and the warm up show at Barroselas. The geographical dispersion of its members in the height of the pandemic, coupled with a series of vital circumstances frustrated their plans to record an EP in 2020. However, with the entry of Gon (Akouphenom, Cruzeiro) as guitarist, that EP has ended up becoming Necronomía De Subexistencia, their first album.

Recorded and mixed at Estudios Cumbre by Miguel Villar, who eventually became their new guitarist, and mastered by Miguel Souto, Necronomía De Subexistencia is a rusty, volatile and noisy jumble of iron, experimental in several sections, that will melt the neurons of any follower of Pig Destroyer, Cryptopsy, Converge, Discordance Axis, Wormrot, or Full Of Hell.

The fact that this band has members with experience in La Hija Del Carroñero, Infrahumano or Empty, as well as the aforementioned Akouphenom and Cruzeiro, is a guarantee of ample knowledge in the art of charring ears. Real grindcore!
